Utaraptor Explanation
If you are new to utahraptor, want to learn a bit about The Isle’s Utahraptor, or want to get some cool tips for utah, then this is the guide for you!
Utahraptor is a large therapod, and one of the largest raptors to have been discovered (Megaraptor is not a raptor) The utahraptor was found in Utah (what a surprise) in 1991, nothing but a clawed foot, although more and more of the skeleton was found later on. It could run at 20-25 miles per hour, slowed down due to its unusually large size.
Utahraptor Strengths
The Utahraptor is best when fighting in a pack, as they don’t do much damage or bleed but can do devastating amouts of damage in a pack.
You can also use the ‘nesting’ ability, where female raptors can create a nest, then any utahraptor can give it food, eventually leading to eggs being made (a total of 4) once you have an egg you can invite a player into the nest and they will spawn as a baby, slowly growing into adulthood.
The Utahraptor can also pounce and latch onto prey! This ability only works on Shants and Camarosaurs but when taking down larger herbivores the pounce it’s extremely useful to stay away from those scary front clompers!! You can pounce by jumping at the animal then right clicking, you will latch onto the side of the animal you jumped at, but watch your stamina, it will drain extremely quickly so use your pounce to do some bleed and dodge attacks but don stick around)
TIP Make sure you have a good number in your group, the minimum you would want would be 5 (if you want a chance of beating a top tier such as giganatosaurus) but if you have too many such as 20 you will attract attention and it will be almost impossible to feed everyone. I would probably say 6-10 would be a good number for your pack.
Utahraptor Weaknesses
Utahraptors are a fairly balanced creature in the isle, also being one of the only 3 dinosaurs in survival.
TIP (in progression) It may be tempting and more exciting, but as an austro almost anything above your tier can one shot you, so be safe. Stay near water and food, and only take enough food and water to last you the hours.
Utahraptors are one of the faster creatures in the isle, and have some of the most stamina which can be useful, but many other carnivores, such as allosaurus & carnotaurus, can keep up with you when using an ambush sprint, so keep an eye on any of the bushes, especially when eating or drinking as Utahraptor has one of the longest eating animations.
Utahraptors can also be one-shotted by many other dinosaurs, Shant, T.Rex, Spino, Giga, to name some and a bit from an allo or Carno will give severe bleed for your amount of health, or will kill you instantly. You can hunt unfriendly Utah’s, any lower tier and dilophosaurus’ When alone, but to hunt anything bigger get some friends!
Utahraptor Summary and Tips
The Utahraptor is a fairly inbetween dinosaur in the isle, it can be a great friend, a formidible enemy and quite unpredictable. The Utahraptor has one of the larger amounts of stamina In the game, and is also faster than most other dinosaurs, so using the ambush skill, you can hunt down almost anything! It doesn’t do much damage or bleed but with enough hits it can be devastating, can join almost all pack types and can survive without food for an hour when full, and 100 minutes with full water!
TIP Utahraptors do not do much damage, but their bite animation is quick, so try to get 2 or 3 bites per run-in.
TIP Whenever you get utahraptor, always make a nest so when your babas grow up, they can invite you to a nest (same goes with packs, make sure they know your username so you can be reincarnated)
