Spinosaurus Hunting Guide

Overview

A guide to help players understand the concept of hunting as Spinosaurus.

About Spinosaurus

Spinosarus is considered to be the largest carnivore of all known dinosaurs if it was Bipedal but as Quadrupedal it’s unknown if it’s still the largest but it’s known Spinosaurus was a Semi-Aquatic dinosaur it’s majority diet was fish and or even carcasses if it was a Quadrupedal and as a Bipedal it was both Fish and hunting for large prey and or still scavenging it was 59ft or even lower.

Capabilities

It’s a known fact that Spinosaurus is a fisher which makes the actual theory of hunting more unbelievable because the isle has a Bipedal which gives it more of a advantage because then hunting would be alot more suitable but as a Quadrupedal it would be limited to only “Fishing” and scavenging.

But Spinosaurus jaws were not meant like those of Tyrannosaurus Rex and Gigantosaurus which were for gripping but it’s claws were like meat hooks when standing up but completely useless as a Quadrupedal.

Hunting as Bipedal Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus as a Bipedal dinosaur will need to rely on it’s speed rather than it’s overall “Size”.
Why?
Because conserving your stamina into a hunt as a Bipedal Spinosaurus is a MUST and going into ambushing mode is the MAJOR key to a Bipedal Spinosaurus successful hunt because then if a Spinosaurus can successful wait for a large slow prey and hurry to ambush it then it will have the advantage of overpowering and causing surprise fear into the victim.

Bipedal would be more capable of hunting then Quadrupedal Spinosaurus because one was a Fisher/Scavenger and the other was a Hunter and a Fisher.

Combat Effective

Spinosaurus because of the update is high in health and overall said to be stronger but infact if bleed or bone damage comes back spinosaurus will be open game because in actuality it wasn’t a true bleeder and wasnt capable of having a bone breaking bite.

Spinosaurus when in combat of hunting another Apex should stealth kill them instead of direct conflict because Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus (+Carcharodontosaurus) are a major threat and should be avoided in groups but even a single conflict can cause a spinosaurus death because now they do no bleed which is another Risk but because of high recovery of Stamina/Bleed and the high health the now likely hood of directly killing a spino in a 1v1 is low unless you ambush them.
