Reinforcements Locations [DLC Drop #0] for Dying Light

Reinforcements Locations [DLC Drop #0]

Overview

This is a location guide for Dying Light’s DLC Drop #0: Reinforcements 50 Requisition Pack Bounty. Not only does this guide provide the most detailed confirmed locations for all languages, but also some “on the side” explainations on spawning behavior. Help out and chime in where you found these new soldiers of Harran!

Information / Disclaimer

Welcome to the Reinforcements DLC Drop #0 guide for Dying Light. The purpose of this guide is to assist you on acquiring your 50 Requisition Packs.

If you want just the map and skip all my writing, feel free to skip to the MAP section of this guide. I provide notes and tips as well if you don’t want to learn about the spawning behavior the hard way. If English is not your primary language, that is okay. The map has pointers on them and English comprehension is not required.

Before we begin, a table of contents of this guide:

First and foremost, the locations on the map provided to you were first compiled by “[Y.A]” BLACK N WHITE SPY |R♣H (as of 8/13/17). Here is a link to his guide. There were no videos or images provided or captured at each location. Since the event is so rare, it was only reasonable to suspect the credibilty of each location. On top of that, very small images of each location were provided and were cut off from the main map. Using his information, I provided one large, clear image of all confirmed locations, unconfirmed locations, demolition sites and explain it all without the ALL-CAPS.

The majority of these locations have been confirmed by the author and several users. If they do not appear for you on the first try, don’t fret (and seriously, don’t berate the author or the guide just because you couldn’t find them). Sometimes they won’t appear on your first attempt. THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE AN EASY GRIND, it will take effort on your part. You’ve been warned.

PS. A disclaimer on Techland’s behalf: The reinforcements do not mobilize as efficiently as they do in the trailer. They stay put much like Rais’ men do but can flee and flank if provoked with a firearm. I was actually very disappointed by this. Almost No Man’s Sky-tier of misleading slash lying but oh well. Free content is after all, free.

Information

Some information on what we are dealing with:

Spawning
The way the DLC works is that the game randomly generates these new black clad reinforcements only at events where Rais men originally are attacking a lone survivor. They do NOT spawn at air drops crate locations nor demolition sites. They CAN spawn near them, however. As you probably know, these survivor rescuing events are randomized and rare. Without a route mapped out, I have scoured Old Town for hours and only found 3 groups.

The real question is, “How frequent do they spawn?” That’s a very good question, Jimmy. Some say they spawn only once per in-game day, others feel like it’s similiar to loot respawn behavior (1-2 hours and be in a different area of the map). Once you’ve found and killed them and you want to keep finding them, sometimes sleeping for 2-3 days helps for the 1 per day theory. If it’s by the loot respawn theory, it’s best to keep activities at the ready between encounters.

A user named Migel the Sloth has an entirely different (and more complex) theory on how they spawn. You can find his guide here if you want to read more about his spawning theory.

Armed and Dangerous
They are usually in groups of 3-4: 2 one-handed weapon wielders and 1-2 riflemen. On hard or nightmare mode, the riflemen can cut you down fast if you’re not careful. Proceed with caution. It is worth noting that the riflemen have ZERO melee skills and typically do not rush you before the 2 meleers do.

Tip: Bring a rifle for easy dispatching. They will drop ammo. I haven’t used explosives on them and I don’t intend to since it can send their lower torso reeling. You can use your bow but their gunfire will draw virals to your location anyways. As mentioned before, they can actually do minimal mobilization if you are not quick on kiling them with a firearm.

Ugh, It’s Not Them!
Like any other event, these guys let off a blue comms logo on your map. Just be prepared for a rollercoaster of excitement and disappointment…especially from those stupid monologue lone survivors and plain 1v1 zombie attacks.

Fun fact #1: They are not aligned with Rais’ men. I’ve seen them engage each other.
Fun fact #2: Requistion Packs can be dropped by the player. They are of no use to the player once the hunt is over.

Map

I marked each site with an X and a number. Remember, some marks are not pinpoint locations but the general area (the font size basically covers the area so you shouldn’t have to stray too far).

All white outlined, larger fonted Xs are where I personally located them. The smaller, non-outlined X locations are unconfirmed ones.

If you remember encountering these coveted soldiers, please do comment down below and be sure to include which X# location you found them or post an image of a newly discovered location. This is an ongoing project until all locations have been confirmed or debunked. I will be updating the image consistantly with your reports and my own findings.

If it’s not too much trouble, I’m also in need for images of the soldiers before you kill them to showcase exact location.

Updates / Notes can be found next to the map image as well. The (x3) means I’ve encountered them at this location 3 times, for example.

Notes From the Author

From “[Y.A]” BLACK N WHITE SPY |R♣H

He noted that this rescue event occurs only once per in-game day. I’m unsure what he means by “IT WILL SPAWN 4 UNITS EVENT THAT SPAWNS THEM”. I think he was pointing out that they are, as mentioned previously, in a pack of 4 soldiers, 2 melee, 2 riflemen.

Notes from the author

After grinding this for so long, I’m beginning to suspect the 24 hour spawn period theory offered by BLACK N WHITE SPY is incorrect. I think they take 1-2 actual hours to “respawn” regardless of loading, dropping in-n-out of the game and even restarting the program itself. This behavour is similar to loot respawning. So if you’re straight up grinding, you’re better off doing Stuffed Turtle inbetween Reinforcement encounters.

It took me about 4 days of focused route running these Enforcers. Here are images of the Hunted outfit you earn after collecting 50 Requisition Packs.

Truth be told…I really like it, haha.

In conclusion:

Go find these a-holes, runners! This is my first guide so if there are things I need to improve on, do let me know in the comments below! Thanks again.

For the future:

8/16/17 – Since I have finished this ridiculous grind, I will not be as proactive personally. The folIowing is a list of things I want to add to this guide:

  • Take images of the soldiers at the locations (for proof in case my word isn’t enough haha)
  • Finalize all Demolition sites (to keep your route interesting)
  • Mark very hard chest and crates
  • If you are reading this and are still in the hunt, drop a comment below asking how many Requistion Packs I have and I’ll see if I can give you any. Get yours now while supplies last! Limited supply.
Good night and good luck.
