Overview

The strengths and weaknesses of each medieval factions

Europe in general

+ Faster material and iron gathering rate
+ Have Stone and Iron gathering speed upgrade in Early Middle Age
+ Workers are much stronger
+ Quality units
+ Pikeman > Asia melee units
+ Very strong navy siege
+ Can snipe TC using siege ship on early age, bombardier ship on late age
+ Most units got 2 damage upgrades in forge
+ Got Grenadiers that both good against units and buildings
+ Got anti armor crossbowman
– Costly units and building cost and upgrades
– Slower villagers producing speed

Western Europe

Can Age up to Great Britain, Germany, and France
+ Best at gathering stone
+ Best at defense, can make Trebuchet at Early Middle Age
+ Highest HP and armor for walls and tower
+ Highest DPS, range and single target damage tower
+ Best Pikeman
+ Best archer, Longbowman
+ Very high armor for medieval unit: Heavy Knight, Landsknecht
– Need to upgrade Fort to unlock Barrack/Shooting Range/Stable and another upgrade to get the Royal version to produce units faster and unlock more units
– Most expensive military building and defensive building
– Villagers gather wheat slower than Eastern Europe, use previous age workers with wheat gathering upgrade from iron age

Eastern Europe

Can Age up to Germany and Russia/USSR
+ Squad rush from swordsman
+ Specialized on offense and speed
+ Many cavalry types in Late Middle Age
+ Better gunpowder units and siege units
+ Cheap archer (Bronze age archer but cost 75 food)
+ Very cheap Militia from Log Hut (House)
– A tiny bit weaker Pikeman than West Europe version
– Weakest building HP and armor (including Town Center)
– Tower doesn’t really have much killing power
– 17s to produce a villagers
– No medieval archer
– 6 pop house (23 houses needed for 150 population)

Asia in general

+ Fast Villagers producing speed (11s)
+ Better at food gathering speed
+ Cheap buildings cost
+ Cheaper units cost
+ Have units reserves on military building
+ Can make siege unit without Workshop at Early Middle Age
– Slower gathering rate for material and iron
– Weaker units and workers

West Asia

Can Age up to India, Turkey
+ Cheapest units from barracks, shooting range, stable and also give the best value / resources spent
+ Sipakh rush meta
+ Very good archer for its price
+ Ballista can be made without workshop, cheap, and good against building, tank
+ High DPS tower
+ Cannon tower in Late Middle Age
+ Elephant archer, bashibuzuk can shoot while moving
+ Elephant very good against infantry and low damage units
+ Good Siege Elephant
+ Elephant storage can replace warehouse, better storage rate at Late Middle Age when upgraded
+ Strong gunpowder unit (bashibuzuk)
= Low range tower but high DPS
= quantity > quality
– Doesn’t have medieval fishing boat
– Worst navy
– Lack counter against high armored units especially on Early Middle Age

East Asia

Can Age up to India, China, Japan
+ Good DPS and movement speed infantry
+ Decent ranged, cavalry units for its price
+ High movement speed cavalry as well
+ Horse archer can shoot while moving
+ Can build Springald and Rocket Cannon in Early Middle Age
+ Early Middle Age siege weapon made without workshop building
+ Hand Cannon very best siege in Late Middle Age from Shooting Range
+ Good and cheap ships that can be spammed and shoot while moving that works very well against other ships
+ Good fishing ship
– Units are pretty expensive
