!~Quick Tips for new players-~! This is just some basic stuff i wanted to mention for the sake of making a random guide on a game i own.
Quick intro
Howdy! i would just like to explain some quick tips i felt the need topass on to new users of this game. with this knowledge you will be well on yourway to being a pokernight 2 master.
this is a very short guide btw, it’s my first.
..be gentle.
Controls (lite)
This game has really tight, simple controls for both keyboard and gamepad. for the keyboard you just click on everything really, tab changes your hud to the cheat sheet/drink order. i mostly play with my controller but likei said, the controls are pretty simple. (A) to check (X) to fold (shoulder buttons) to change hud (B) to bet more money. ect..ect.
Main QTs
Here are my basic tips for all you new players.
– Ordering drinks in the game doesn’t really affect the npc’s too much.so save up your tokens for the unlocks later on as you win. even if you lose you get tokens. eventually you can’t do anything with them EXCEPT order drinks
-90% of the time Ash from evil dead and Sam from sam&max are the npc’s to be watching out for, they almost never play hands unless they have a near certain victory in their hand. brock is straight up Dumb. Claptrap can be a problem randomly.
-don’t be afraid to use the cheat sheet, wich can be acsessed from the same hud used to order drinks. there is absolutely no penalty to using it and you will learn what cards to be on the lookout for as well.
-even if you’re down five games in a row it only takes one win to clear that 100,000$ debt. you might just get lucky on the next one, eh? but please keep in mind that it doesn’t work that way in rl; lol~
Achievements (Lite)
Most of the achievements on here are given for unlocking things with your tokens. so it’s pretty straightfoward if you’re aiming for full completion. a couple of the achievements are given for being really good (or in my case really lucky) at poker. the only one i have yet to unlock is collecting a million dollars in total winnings. im just unlucky and get bored when trying to win against the last two or one npc on the table;
On a final note for this section if the achievements for the tf2/borderlands2 items don’t register and appear in your games you can take care of it like i did by screencapping your unlocks in pokernight2 and contacting telltalegames about it. [link]
