Overview
A guide showing you the location of all 10 roses in “A Shocking Turn of Events” challenge.
Rose #1 – Up The Elevator Shaft
On the first floor, near where you start, you will see a splicer at the elevator buttons. As soon as the splicer dies, the right elevator will start working and will be a travelling up to you. You need to jump ontop of it before it reaches you and then look to your left.
Rose #2 – Midway Elevator shaft
The second rose is located in the same elevator shaft as the Rose #1. This rose is located between the third and second floor and is in a small crawl space that connects the two elevators together. The rose will be between a corpse’s legs
Rose #3 – Men’s Bathroom
On the same floor as the ferris wheel, to the left of the elevators will be the men’s bathroom. Inside the bathroom will be a splicer and the third rose which can be found at the top left of the billboard.
Rose #4 – Rapture Records
Rapture Records is a small store located on the same floor as the ferris wheel. Inside of it will be a small room that has a gate blocking you from the rest of the store. On the floor behind this gate will be the third rose.
Rose #5 – Inside The Vent
At the entrance of the Grand carnival, there will be a little sister vent on the right wall. Jump on the bottom of the vent to view and retrieve the 5th rose.
Rose #6 – Inside The Bucket
In the Grand Carnival, close to the last rose, there will be three carnival stalls. The middle of the three stalls contains three buckets, simply jump over from the front and look in the right bucket. This is the location of the 6th rose.
Rose #7 – Inside The Balloon
In the Grand Carnival, in the last stall on the left, there will be corpse attached to the wall with balloons surrounding him. The bottom right balloon contains the rose inside of it. Simply use the Telekinesis plasmid to pop the balloon and retrieve the rose. The plasmid can be found at the entrance of the Grand Carnival.
Rose #8 – Zimmerman Chardonnay Office
Directly behind Rose #7 (Balloons) will be a small locked office belonging to “Zimmerman Chardonnay” company. To unlock the room just set the code to “1951” to gain access to it. In this small office will be a Thuggish Splicer and the 8th rose which can be found hanging in the light. You will need to jump to retrieve the rose.
Rose #9 – Frozen Room
Inside of the frozen room, there will be a fire, a corpse and a frozen pneumo tube stopping you from gaining access to the rose inside of it. To get the rose simply use the Telekinesis plasmid to pick up the corpse, set it alight using the fire, and then unfreeze the pneumo tube using the burning corpse. Stand below the unfrozen pneumo tube to get the rose #9.
Rose #10 – Ferris Wheel
You will need to turn the ferris wheel a total of seven times using the switch to get the final rose. Once the ferris wheel has been turned the required seven times, there will be a fault with the wheel causing a fire near the gears which will unlock the final rose so that you can collect it.
Conclusion – Receiving The Achievement
After collecting all the roses, go over to the little sister who is near the ferris wheel and rescue her. This will finish the level and you should recieve the “A Shocking Turn of Events” – Collector achievement.
