Overview
This is a guide for those of you who bought the Revolution dlc and want to know how to play die Rise. This will be a compilation of my experiences and strategies and, if deemed worthy, anyone’s strategies in the comments. This will help you get to higher rounds if this map scares you.
What to do from the start.
My current strategy, which gets me to about round 17-20 rather easily is fairly simple to do. First of all, open the starting room door and clear the couch debris to get to the pdw. Once you buy the pdw, head to the an-94(If you do not know where this is youtube it{It is a rather long route to explain in writing}) and buy it. Once you have botht the an-94 and the pdw, move on to the power. If you have turned on the power, you can also build the siliquifier if you would like to. The pieces for this are relatively spread apart, so this might be a bad idea. What I do next is go to the roof and pick up as many perks as I can and camp up there next to the ramp and dragon. All you have to do is make sure the window behind you is always boarded up and you will have a one-way battle with the zombies. The only bad thing about this spot is that when you get swarmed by zombies, there is only one way out of the spot, where the zombies come from… I reccomend two people stay here and maybe two people stay somewhere nearby so they can revive you if needed, but far enough away that they do not interfere with your zombie killing.
This is the best place that I have come by in my games, but I am sure there are many other spots to trail zombies.
Boss round.
The best way that I have found to survive the boss round is to never stop moving. It is easiest to treat them like abnormally fast and bouncy zombies and trail them as much as possible.
Never get stuck in a corner! Never stop moving!
If you happen to have killed all of them without a single missed shot, then you will get a free perk and 2500 points. If you have galva knuckles or the Bowie knife(both extremely dangerous to get{I actually died with MP5, AN-94, and PDW, all packed, Jug, Double Tap, and Mule Kick, semtex, and claymores going for the bowie knife… The elevator moved up right as i got in and killed me}), then you could just sit in a corner and kinfe them.
Smgs are the best guns to deal with them because you can kill a few in one clip, and quickly reload and kill more.
Whichever way you choose to go, I suggest that you waste your ammo on these little devils because they will give you a max ammo once you have killed them all.
Guns.
Die Rise contains many new perks and guns that Tranzit never had. This is a very good thing, because the guns in die Rise are the best guns in the game in my opinion.
I am not sure what guns you can get from the box, as I have yet to use the box, but the wall guns will be more than sufficient for what you should need.
Wall guns include the Olympia shotgun, M14, PDW, SVU-AS, AN-94, M-16, and the MP5. There may be a few guns that I am missing, but I think that is all of them.
The wonder weapon in this map is the siliquifier. I personally do not like it enough to replace one of my guns with it, but other people do feel the need to build and use it.
In my experiences, the AN-94 and the PDW are the best guns in the game, even better than lmgs because they have large ammo capacity and you can run faster than when carrying a heavy lmg.
Perks.
The perks in die Rise are PHD Flopper, Jug, Double Tap, Revive, Mule Kick, Speed Reload, Stamina Up(?), and Who’s Who. The perks always spawn on the same building, but in different elevator shafts.
PHD Flopper allows you to fall as far as you want(on the map) and take no damage, as well as taking no explosive damage. I have no clue how to get PHD Flopper, but I do know where it is. When you take the elevator in the starting room, just before you hit the bottom, you will see a room with PHD Flopper in it, but there is some sort of force field around the door preventing you from going inside. Not purchaseable yet…
For all those nonbelievers about PHD Flopper being on this map…
Please stop commenting that PHD Flopper is a troll… Unless you have solid proof from Treyarch then do not say anything about it… I believe it is purchaseable, maybe after an update or something.
Jug… I think we all know what jug is… Jug is on the second building’s elevator shafts(one with the dragon).
Double Tap allows you to shoot two bullets for every one bullet you shoot, doubling your damage. Double Tap is on the second building’s elevator shafts.
Revive…revives you… Revive is always on the elevator just outside the starting room door.
Mule Kick allows you to pick up three guns! (personal favorite) Mule kick is always on the second building’s elevator shafts.
Speed Reload… You reload your guns faster. Speed Reload is somewhere on the first building’s elevator shafts.
Who’s Who is a new perk in the black ops zombies series. It allows you to run around and revive yourself. This is like Tombstone, but when yu try to revive yourself, the zombies will still attack you. Who’s Who is always on the first building’s elevator shafts.
So the perks on the first building are PHD Flopper, Who’s Who, Speed Reload, and Revive.
Perks on the second building are Jug, Double Tap, Mule Kick, and the pack a punch machine as well.
As far as I can tell, the perks always spawn on the same building, but I’m not sure as of now. 99% sure this is true.
Where to camp/trail zombies.
I personally like to camp on the roof of the second building next to the ramp leading up to the dragon. As long as you keep the window behind you boarded up, then you will have a one-way battle with the zombies. This is my favorite spot.
Actually, another good spot is the big room at the bottom of the first building where you can cross over to the second building and turn power on.(Buddah Room)
If you refrain from clearing the debris in the AN-94 room, you and someone else could hold out there for quite a while.
Trample Steam!
The Trample Steam is your best firend on this game! It does take quite a while to make, and it requires you to have the power on, but it is worth keeping a crawler or runner so that you can build it.
If you put this right outside of the spot where you make it, you can launch yourself from that spot over to the other building. This way, you can travel safely between the two buildings to get perks and guns, or make trails this way.
Another good thing to do is to put the trample steam in a choke point that would guard you for escape or kill zombies as they come toward you. For example on the ramp next to the dragon or in front of the window behind you in that spot so that you don’t have to worry about zombies coming at you from both sides.
More than one person is capable of picking up a Trample Steam; use this to your advantage.
The Trample Steam does actually kill zombies when they step on it as well.
All the parts for the Trample Steam will be on the first two floors of the spawn area.
The best time to build the Trample Steam is when you have all your guns and you have the power on. Just go back and have everyone grab a piece and(VERY IMPORTANT), unless you are a master at jumping down from the second floor to the Trample Steam room, take the elevator!
Persistent Perks.
The Persistent perks from Tranzit will carry over! I believe they will eventually add persistent perks for the additional perks on this map as well.
How to build the Sliquifier.
The Sliquifier is a useful gun in tight situations(though I do not like using it, as you can lose control on the slippery shot and run straight into a horde of zombies…), and it is relatively easy to create.
There will usually be one or two pieces in the room where you build it, a piece on the floor directly above the workbench, and a piece somewhere in the power room.
Opinions.
The views expressed in this guide are opinions of myself and my contributors. If you have a problem with them ask me, but DO NOT persistently beg that I change the information. Once again, the views expressed in this guide are views of myself and my contributors… DO NOT comment repeatedly asking me to change something after I have said I believe otherwise…
My results.
Thus far, I have gotten to round 15-18 a few times using my strategy. The only reason I died was because some stupid reason each time. If you die after round 10, then it is hard as hell to make it back effectively, so try not to die guys.
Recently, I have gotten to wound 20+ frequently. However, I did get some good people to play with. The Trample Steam is a must! The best thing to do is to build it after power is on instead of having everyone grab a piece and try to jump down because 90% of the time, someone will fall and it will screw up your game.
I recently got a round 27 solo game!
