Overview
This is a Krieg The Psycho level 61 build with basically a run in and smash things type play style. It is a combanation of the Hellborn and Mania skill tree. I will teach you everything you need to know to become the Ultimate Bandit Smashing Psycho.
The Skill Tree
Now. What everyone came here for, without further adieu, the skill tree!
Note: Bellow i will be giving you the stats of skills with max skill points invested in it without use of Class Mods.
Burn, Baby, Burn + Fuel the Fire + Delusional Damage + Flame Flare + Fire Fiend
Burn, Baby, Burn, gives us 35% burn damage, or 75% when on fire. Also, it gives us 35% chance to set ourselves on fire per shot of a fire bullet shot (Yes i know how strange that sounds :p). Fuel the Fire gives us ANOTHER 35% chance to set ourselves on fire per shot of a fire bullet shot (Yes it still sounds wierd), and killing an enemy gives us a monsterous number of 200% Elemental Effect Chance for a short time!! Delusional Damage makes it so if we cause ANY elemental effect, we will have a chance to catch on fire. The chance is dependent on Burn, Baby, Burn, and Fuel the Fire. Flame Flare increases all burn effects on us. And when you apply fire to an enemy there is a chance another burn effect will be applied. It has 100% burn duration and 75% chance to reignite. Fire Fiend makes it so when we are on fire, we get 50% weapon accuracy and 35% reload speed. Also, it gives us 50% melee ignite chance.
Empty the Rage + Silence the Voices + Salt the Wound
These three skills are essential to massive melee damage increase. Empty the Rage adds a bonus of 20% melee damage with ann extra bonus of 50% when shields or magazine is empty. Silence the Voices adds a whoping 250& melee damage, with a cost of 12% chance to melee yourself. Most people are thinking “Melee yourself!? Are you nuts!!”, But in my opinion, the advantages are bigger than the disadvantages, expesially with one of my Class Mods that adds +4 to Silence the Voices without adding to the self attack chance! And last but not least, Salt the Wound, which enables us to have Salt the Wound stacks, with a max of 20. You gain the stacks while you take damage from enemies. Each stacks gives us 7.5% melee damage and 5% shotgun damage. So at max stacks, that gives us 150% melee damage, and 100% shotgun damage!
Thrill of the Kill + Numbed Nerves + Elemental Empathy
These three skills are important to help u stay alive on the harsh planet of Pandora. Thrill of the Kill is used to return up to 50% of the overkill damage (Extra damage we did to the enemies when they died(Example: if a rocket launcher did 1000 damage, and we hit an ememy with 4 health, we would get 496 health back at best)), which will come in VERY handy since we will be doing MASSIVE amounts of damage with our axe. Numbed Nerves is needed in ANY build that has any part of Hellborn. So basically, when we are on fire, we have 50% damage reduction. Elemental Empathy says that all the burn status effect damage delt heals us by 25% of the damage dealt.
Fuel the Rampage + Release the Beast
These two must-have skills are bases around your axe. As you may know, by default, as you take damage your axe regenerates faster, although it does not tell you by how much. What Fuel the Rampage does is it makes it so when you are getting damaged it recharges your axe 100% times faster, health damage bonus 100%, and friendly fire damage 30%. Yes, that DOES mean friwnds can damage you, so do NOT use this if your friends are total douches :p. BUT, if i need a boost in my cooldown, then i can tell my bud, Speed, to hit me a bit. And, now, Release the Beast, my FAVORITE skill of Krieg, and the last skill in the Mania tree. If your health is below 33%(There will be a “!” next to your health bar), and you use your skill, you will turn into a Mutant Badass Psycho! That means that you get an extra 100% melee damage, 50% melee reduction, and the best part, when you go out of the Badass Mode, you will instantly have your axe again!
Pain is Power + Raving Retribution
These two builds are just for killing. Pain is Power adds 25% weapon and melee damage and 50% fire rate. Although it does take away 25% critical hit damage, its worth it. Raving Retribution is the final skill in Hellborn. Whoever damages you, you will send out a homing ball of fire to kill them, although you can only send out a ball once every second.
Blood-Filled Guns
This skill gives us Bloodlust stacks at a max of 100. Basiically if you are shooting enemies you gain these stacks. Now, what this SKILL does is for every stack, we gain 2.5 magazine size, which will be very usefull.
Redeem the Soul
This one gives us the ability to revive out friends instantly, but you can only do this when Buzzaxe Rampage is on cooldown. Also, when you do this, you must fight for your life. The reason i use this on singleplayer, is because it also gives us 50% Fight for Your Life time.
The Weapons and Items
Now, keep in mind that these are just the weapons that i have fun with and that work for me. You can of course use whatever weapons you like.
My Guns:
The Butcher shotgun is a personal favorite because of its high firerate. Its a good idea to have a slagga handy becuase in UVHM slag makes enemies die 3x faster! The Hellfire is a great fire SMG, and the Norfleet is one of my all-time favorites.
My Shield:
I have 2 reasons for using the Flame of The FireHawk.
1. Its fire, and this build has many fire bonuses.
2. This shield creates so many novas when you are being shot at, i have literally walked through the whole of the Bloodshot Stronghold without touching them!*
*Note: Do NOT use an absorb shield with Krieg. Krieg gets many bonuses when he is being shot at, but if your shield absorbs that, you will not recieve those bonuses. Also, the Love Thumper is a BEAST with Krieg.
My Grenade Mod:
There is no real reason for using the Storm Front grenade mod with this build other than i think it has a very cool effect. If i did not choose this, i would probably go for a Homing Bonus Package or a Homing Fire Bee.
My Class Mod:
Im guessing you already know why i chose this class mod. It provides all those skill points, but the burn damage and magazine size is also great. Although i do have a small “collection” of good other class mods, since the Legendary does not always fit your playstyle. If you see a class mod that adds points to the Numbed Nerves skill, i suggest you use it, unless you have a crazy good class mod.
My Relic:
This is a very good relic which provides us with fire damage and cooldown rate.
Please note this is my first guide. Please give suggestions. Also, i might add some videos later on.
The Playstyle
STAY… ON… FIRE…
Now, im not saying, go ahead and hit yourself with a fire barrel or a Norfleet, because that will HURT. Im saying keep shooting to ignite yourself, so you get your bonuses, and as long as your shield is up, you will barely take any damage from the fire since you will resist it.
RAMPAGE TIME BEBE!
So, here’s the beauty of the Mania tree. If your health is below 33%, and you go into Mutant Ninja Turtle Mutant Badass Psyco mode, when you come out, you will have your rampage back, so just let them hit you until you see the “!” next to your health, and do it again, and agian, and agian, and again… (I got bored) And you will be unstoppable!
ELEMENTS
Use the elements to your full advantage. Fire is not always the best choice. If you see “RESIST”, switch to another element!
