Borderlands 2 Guide

How to play Salvador for Borderlands 2

How to play Salvador

Overview

This is how to play Salvador

Salvador

This is just a general guide on the most powerful charachter in Borderlands 2, Salvador. Note that I won’t be covering grenades, as they are really more a matter of taste, but I reccommend the stormfront and the bonus package, gotten from the tmnt easter egg, and Boom Bewm respectively.

Guns

Salvador is the least dynamic character in the game especially at higher levels.
Early on Salvador is great with both shotguns and smgs. Everyone knows to stay away from assault rifles in general, but Salvador actually can wield them effectively.
In Ultimate vault Hunter mode Salvador is by far the best character. However this means you are stuck using a very specific set of guns. Lady fist, wait until you are high level to do the quest to get it though. This gives the other weapon of the set 800% crit damage. The other part is the interfacer. This shotgun is insane because of the garunteed hit pattern, along with massive damage. This gun also has a chance to not consume ammo, which will add even more to money shot. The only negative is it is a seraph, and only comes from Voracidous.
The other set of guns you need is the grog nozzle (slag damage), which will heal you 65% of damage dealt, with both weapons. This is a quest item in the Tiny Tina DLC, this means don’t turn the quest in. The other weapon you need is an unkempt herald. This weapon shoots 7 projectiles, is explosive and does huge damage. The preferred type is double penetrating unkempt herald. That pretty much wraps up the gun section, except for one thing. Get low level badabooms from normal mode King mong, and you can equip two of them with a sham to rocket jump, it just makes it easier.

Shields

At low levels the best shields are turtle shields. They are just really good on early Salvador. I personally reccommend getting the Fabled Tortise shield from Blue, who appears in a quest in the middle of the game.
The only other shield you will ever need is the bee. The bee gives huge amp damage for no drain. The easiest way to get it is from treants in the Tiny Tina DLC. This shield makes the Unkempt Herald which gets amp on up to 14 shots coming out of the herald. This shield is all you will ever need.

Relic

Early on I reccommend the health increase relics because of how much early Salvador relies on his health.
Later, as in UVHM, I reccommend one of the … of the ancients, which are e-tech relics from loot midgits. These are easily farmed with the doctors order mission which i will show in this video
Thanks BRO CO for the amazing video

Class mod

Until UVHM the best class mods increase health and or shield along with health regen stats.
The best class mod in UVHM is Chaotic Evil Monk because it increases money shot by six. We will get to why that is really powerful later.

Specs

Early into the game the best thing to do for Salvador is to go down the Brawn tree. The huge health regen is amazing early, and midgame. This spec set will reduce your frustration at constant Death. FYI Salvador is not fun to level. He is not fun at all.
In UVHM or late TVHM the best spec is in the Gun lust and Rampage tree. Pretty much get all the damage increases, and gunzerk while down in the Gun Lust tree. Stop after that point. The number one thing you can get in that tree is money shot. This increases the damage in the last shot in your clip by up to 1600%. No that is not a typo. That is why 6 points extra is so powerful. In the rampage tree get everything that increases gunzerking cooldown, length, and get the final skill. The most important one other than the final skill is inconceivable. This gives you the opportunity to not consume ammo. This means money shot chains. This is where most of the damage comes from. If you don’t think money shot is over powered look up Admiral Bahroo’s videos called buff money shot, nerf Kunai.

Conclusion

If you do all of those things you can go through the entire game without trouble. Salvador becomes unkillable, and will do the most damge in the game. I hope you enjoyed the guide and found it useful.
