Overview
I have no image about it but you should understand the basics of bhop.To start with, take a map that have a large space. For the purpose of this guide, I’ll take an offical map, dm_overwatch.Find a good path to start your bhop.Let’s start.I’ll be using default keys for this guide (W, A, S, D, Shift, Ctrl). When you’re on the path, look at 90° on your left or on your right.Start by making a basic movement. Press W, then press A or D depending on the way you want to go. I’ll be taking D for this guide. The movement you’re going to make is “Curved motion”.When you feel fine making W + D and you have made a correct turn (90°), then you can go to next step. For this step, make the same process, but press the shift button when you’re about to turn.It is exactly the same movement, but with sprint added. When you are ready, jump to the next step. This step is now joyful. You want to do the same process, but when you did your 90° turn, press jump (space bar). You’re velocity will increase from 320, to about 450 – 480.The jump alone is called “strafejump”.When you have reached at least 430 vel, jump to next step.Ok, now, same process, but press and hold ctrl to crouch. Easy enough eh?Good, now here’s where things get a bit more tricky. To make a basic bhop and thefore, bhop correctly with a correct velocity, you’ll have to do the same process, and when you have made your first jump and reached the ground, keep jumping. In order to bhop correctly, when you have started to bhop, release w, very important, then use your strafe keys, A and D + your mouse to rotate a tiny bit to bhop correctly. And that’s it, you should now know how to bhop.It requires practise though, but after some time, you’ll handle it.If you do not understand all steps, feel free to comment, or you can watch other tutorials on YouTube. There’s alot of thing you can do in Half Life, but unfortunately, since the Orange Box update, a lot of features got removed such as ducksprint, props tricks…I do not have any images, but you don’t need them.
