Bismark Mission Pack
Mod info
The Bismarck Mission Pack is a standalone expansion to Battlestations: Pacific centred around the German battleship Bismarck. Included are 2 unique missions – 1 each for the Kriegsmarine and Royal Navy. This mod will install separately and therefore not affect any of your current installations/mods. This mod is a completely separate installation – download, install, enjoy.
Patch A is now integrated into the installer
This patch addresses an issue where the Bismarck “teleports” during Operation Rheinubung.
WARNING
Due to the content of this mod there are graphical references to the Nazi regime and the Swastika. Install and play this mod with this information in mind.
LICENSE
This mod is provided for free and as is with no guarantees. The only condition for downloading and installing this mod is that you have a legal copy of Battlestations Pacific.
INTRODUCTION
Operation Rheinubung is played from the German perspective and is named after the German operation to have the Bismarck enter the North Atlantic to seek out and destroy the Allied convoys. The mission entails the famous Battle of the Denmark Strait and the sinking of the HMS Hood as well as the British pursuit afterwards. This mission is stressful and action packed so take your heart medication beforehand!
Big Race is played from the British perspective. After the Bismarck successfully entered the North Atlantic the Royal Navy mobilised all their forces – this included recalling the HMS Hermes from the Mediterranean. The HMS Hermes and 2 destroyers are assigned to escort a small supply convoy and halfway through the assignment the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen were spotted – heading straight for the convoy! Will the Swordfish pilots of the HMS Hermes succeed where numerous battleships have failed?
TUTORIAL VIDEOS
In an attempt to minimise the download size of this mod the tutorial videos are by default excluded. Attempting to preview a tutorial video will cause the game to freeze. You can manually copy this folder from any other pre-existing Battlestations Pacific installation.
This is the folder you need to copy:
Battlestations PacificmoviesTutorials
SUPPORTED LANGUAGES
The following languages are included with the Bismarck Mission Pack:
• English
• English Authentic VO (standalone language)
• French
• German
• Italian
• Spanish (English text)
Additional languages will be released as standalone additions should this be necessary. Standalone languages will have a star next to the language in the game’s options and only one can be installed at any time.
In order to install a standalone language pack copy the downloaded bsp.mpkg file into the Bismarck Mission Pack installation folder and replace the file when prompted. Restart the game after installing the new bsp.mpkg to make the new language available.
KNOWN ISSUES
• If you exit or restart a mission while a cutscene, dialogue or on screen notification is playing the game will crash.
• The ship failure audio notifications (engine, fire, magazine, water) do not play.
