Overview

Hello. In this guide, I will explain how to host a proper public session and some examples of what can you do.Hola. En esta guía, explicaré cómo hacer una sesión pública correctamente y algunos ejemplos de qué hacer.

Setting up the session properly. / Configurar la sesión adecuadamente.

So, by now, everyone should be able to do a basic session (you know, ”New Game”, then ”Custom Game”, then choose scenario then make it public and then start it up, right?).

However, I’m gonna say some guidelines:

–DO NOT and I mean DO NOT use any ”Easy Start”, ”Lone Survivor”, etc. Why? Because it consumes Sim Speed (how smooth is the session) and your FPS. Use ”Empty World” only. / No uses el ”Easy Start” ni el ”Lone Survivor”, etc. ¿Por qué? Porque consume el Sim Speed (cómo de rápido va el servidor) y tus FPS. Utiliza sólo ”Empty World”.

-Make sure to use the Alt+F10 and Shift+F10 combinations! Hell, even the HELP section mentions them (on the sections of Open Spawn Screen((Spawn Menu in this guide)) and Open Admin Screen((Admin Menu in this guide)))! / ¡Acuérdate de usar las combinaciones de Alt+F10 y Mayúsculas+F10! De hecho, ¡la sección de AYUDA menciona esas combinaciones! Se llamarán Menú de Hacer y Menú de Administración en esta guía.

-To spawn a planet, use the Spawn Menu and click on the Asteroid section and click on Planets.
Then choose which one do you want(In the image you will see EarthLike, though, you can select any other you desire). / Para hacer un planeta, utiliza el Menú de Hacer y haz click en la sección de ”Asteroid” y haz click en ”Planetas”. Utiliza el que te apetezca(en la imagen se utiliza EarthLike, pero, como mencioné, puedes utilizar el que quieras).

Make the planet accesible by everyone. / Haz que el planeta sea accesible por todos.

-Make a medical room. Doesn’t matter how it looks, just make it atleast with the blocks to support it, the antenna (to know where is it), the medical room (the block) and the battery (to power it). In the next image, you can see a basic one that I did. / Haz una sala médica. No importa cómo salga, sólo tiene que tener como mínimo los bloques para sostenerla, la antena (para saber dónde está), la sála médica (el bloque) y la batería (para que funcione). En la imagen que pongo a continuación, puedes ver una básica que hice.

-Make it public. Go to the battery’s control panel (or make a control panel) and select Medical Room on it. Then select the ”Share with my faction” section and switch it to ”Share with all”. The image will show what should it look like. / Hazla pública. Vete al panel de control de la batería (o haz uno) y selecciona Sála Médica. Selecciona la sección de ”Share with my faction” y cámbiala a ”Share with all”. La imagen mostrada es un ejemplo de cómo debería de quedar.

Mantaining the session. / Mantener la sesión.

– Ask the players often if they’re having lag. If they do, ask if the ”Low Sim Speed” message appears. If it does, remove the biggest ship using the Entity List(see image). If it doesn’t, tell them to rejoin. The problem should be fixed. / Pregunta a los jugadores a menudo si tienen lag. Si tienen, pregúntales si el mensaje de ”Low Sim Speed” aparece. Si les aparece, elimina la nave más grande del servidor utilizando la ”Entity List”(ver imagen). Si no, diles que se vuelvan a unir.

-Don’t hesitate to invite your friends! You know the saying, more players, more fun! / ¡No dudes en invitar a tus amigos! Ya lo dicen, ¡más jugadores, más diversión!

-You can put a block limit for ships if you want to. I recommend this to make the server last more. I usually put around 1500 blocks, though you can put more if you want. / Puedes poner un límite de bloques si quieres para las naves. Recomiendo esto para que el servidor dure más. Suelo poner sobre 1500 bloques, pero puedes poner más si quieres.

Simply because you, as the host, can’t see those messages. / Simplemente porque tú, como eres el anfitrión, no puedes ver esos mensajes.

No, they aren’t, unless you want to do PvP or limit the access of your buildings.
/ No, no lo son, a menos que quieras hacer JcJ o restringir el acceso de tus construcciones.

-Okay, the best for last! Here are… THE EXAMPLES.

-PvP:

You only need blueprints, unless you want to also use land vehicles, in which case, spawn the planet you want. / Sólo necesitas planos del Workshop, a menos que quieras utilizar vehículos de tierra, en este caso, haz el planeta que quieras.

-Building/Construcción:

-No need for anything special, just use your imagination! Just make sure to mantain the session properly. / No necesitas algo especial, ¡sólo usa tu imaginación! Sólo ten en cuenta de mantener la sesión correctamente.
