This guide contains all the missable objects from the story mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. It does not include all the objects available, only the missable ones. This means objects that once you pass a certain point of the game you are no longer able to go back and obtain. • Home Robbery with Javier — Must be completed by Chapter III
• Debt Owed by Mr Wrobel — Must be completed by Chapter III
• Debt Owed by Chick Matthews — Must be completed by Chapter III
• Debt Owed by Lilly Millet — Must be completed by Chapter III
• Hunting with Charles — Must be completed by Chapter III
• Pouring Forth Oil Part II — Must be completed upon starting or you can miss part of the mission
• Good, Honest, Snake Oil — Must be completed by Chapter V
• Fundraiser — Must be completed by Chapter VI
• We loved, once and true — Must be completed by Chapter VI
• Jack’s drawing — Reward for finding Jack a thimble
• Letter from St. Luke’s Academy — Looted from one of two mauled up corpses at Appleseed Timber Co. This is an event where you have to kill some wolves that are attacking the lumberjacks or kill and loot one of the lumberjacks before they pack up and move out of the area. It’s random who has it
• Letter from Ms. Hobbs — Hunting Request in Van Horn. Received via post if you complete the first four series of missions. Available up to Chapter VI
• Letter from Miss Marjorie — Stranger mission “The Smell of the Grease Paint” after you complete go and see the show and talk to ticket taker after the show
• Letter to Edmund from Mother — “American Dreams”. Found in the basement of Lucky’s Cabin. Available up to Epilogue.
• Letter to the Editor — “American Dreams”. Found in the basement of Lucky’s Cabin. Available up to Epilogue.
• Watson’s scrapbook page — Found on the kitchen table during the 3rd and final possible stage of the Watson’s Cabin home robbery. It’s very important that you wait until the 2nd stage of this robbery, when the mother is yelling at her 4 sons, and then kill only her 4 sons and incapacitate the mother in order to get this document later in the 3rd stage.
• Dutch’s Speech Notes — Picked up in Horseshoe Overlook camp
• Zoological Compendium — Available at Arthur’s tent until Chapter VI
• Rambles through Woods and Plains — Available at Arthur’s tent until Chapter VI
• Charity Handbill — On the table of Thomas Downes’ charity in Valentine
• Lemoyne Raiders Letter — Looted from a lone LR member near Rhodes. This is a random event. (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Wedding certificate — Found in the loot box on a crashed wagon at the base of the Monto’s Rest cliff, just northeast of Strawberry (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Bride photograph — Found on the corpse of Jim, close to the crashed wagon at the base of the Monto’s Rest cliff, just northeast of Strawberry (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Wild man’s journal — Follow the Wild Man from his chance encounter on three different occasions (There is a glitch that can cause this document to be missed, Save before entering the cave!)
• Note from the sculptor — Found on the corpse of the sculptor who hung himself at the Face in Cliff site; shoot the rope to make the body fall (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Lost letter to Bonnie — Looted from the corpse in a chance encounter (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Murfree brood prisoner’s note — Looted from the hanging corpse of a Murfree’s victim (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Murfree brood ransom note — Looted from the corpse of a Murfree’s victim (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Night folk victim’s note — Looted from the hanging corpse of a Night Folk’s victim (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Night folk wagerer’s note — Looted from the corpse of a Night Folk’s victim (Can be missed if you don’t loot him right then and there.)
• Son’s drawing — Looted from the Rhodes gunsmith, (I’ve added this in Chapter II and III as it’s been mentioned that it can be found this early in the game) (Some people have problems finding this as John)
• Bag hat — Worn by one of the poachers during Charles companion mission
• Bucket Hat — From a worker at the Lumberyard near Strawberry before it gets deserted
• Classic Raccoon Mountain Hat — Mountain man inside Valentine’s saloon, appears mostly at night, has many but limited encounters during later chapters. Better play it safe and collect it early
• Liberty Hat — “An American Pastoral Scene” and stranger’s mission “A Fine Night For it” during the second wave, may take a few retries before it spawns
• Newsboy Flat Cap — “The Sheep and the Goats”, worn by Cornwall’s men
• Scout Jacket — Pearson’s rabbit request reward
• Vaquero Rider Spurs — Dutch’s pipe request reward
• Ravens Claw Talisman — If you don’t get into Sinclair’s cabin immediately after “Geology for Beginners II” and get the Old Brass Compass (an item used to craft it), you’ll miss the opportunity to collect it.
• Rare Shotgun — Hermit’s shack, northeast of the map
• Granger’s Revolver — During his respective mission, missed if you don’t pick it up
• Flaco’s Revolver — During his respective mission, missed if you don’t pick it up
• Midnight’s Pistol — During his respective mission, missed if you don’t pick it up
• Ornate Dagger — When you’re done with “The Vampire of Saint Denis”, missed if you don’t pick it up
• Key Chain – Jail cell key — Obtained during the mission “Blessed are the Meek”. You must kill the sheriff and loot his body
• Native American ring — Looted from a drunk man at a campfire in a random event
• Jimmy’s Pen — “Polite Society, Valentine Style”, only if you spare him
• Antique Watch — “Money Lending and Other Sins II”, from the Polish guy named Wrobel, you have to open the drawer with the watch, take other things until debt is paid, then run away a bit to the point where Wrobel is despawned, then come back and get it

• Letter to Mr Compson from Col Nixon — Found at Compton’s Stead during “The Iniquities of History-II”
• Note from Rance — Found at Compton’s Stead during “The Iniquities of History-II”
• Note to Jeremiah from Bill — Found at Compton’s Stead during “The Iniquities of History-II”
• Letter to Angelo Bronte — Found on a desk in the same room as the Golden Shield during “Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern”
• Son’s drawing — Looted from the Rhodes gunsmith (Some people have problems finding this as John)
• Fisherman’s Hat — Legendary fish mission strand, can be obtained before the Epilogue by blowing up the fisherman with a stick of dynamite before starting his strand or during the Epilogue in the final mission when he gets pulled into the water and leaves the hat
• Lion’s Paw Trinket — Stranger mission “He’s British, of Course IV”. Make sure to collect the trophy (paw) once you kill the lion
• Rare Rolling Block Rifle — “Magicians for Sport”, the sniper shooting at you has it
• Golden Shield — Mission “Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern” inside the manor on the fireplace
• Braithwaite Brooch — Catherine Braithwaite’s brooch. Loot her body in “Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern”

• Owl Feather Trinket — “Archeology for Beginners”. Do not kill anyone at the camp. Doing it from the replay will get you the trinket in the compendium, but you don’t get the special perks from it
• Buell — Unique coated Cremello Gold Dutch Warmblood. It will be gone if you complete “The Veteran – IV” before the epilogue
• Giant Boar Tusk — Missed if you don’t take the trophy from the giant boar after “The Veteran – IV”. Can be completed in the Epilogue
EPILOGUE I
• Worn Flat Cap — John spawns with that hat, he simply has to drop it and pick it up again for it to be saved
• John’s Gambler Hat — John spawns with that hat, he simply has to drop it and pick it up again for it to be saved
EPILOGUE II
• Drifter’s hat — Given by Uncle after completing his request
