How to deal with Zone 4 Enemies as Aria

Overview

I’ll show you how to safely kill zone 4 enemies with only a dagger.

Enemies

Harpy:
Flee. It’ll catch up if you run. Just stab it when it’s adjacent to you.

Bomber:
Keep your distance. If it lands adjacent to you, either stab or move towards it and stab. If you want, you can collect the gold as long as you either have a blast helmet or run two spaces away immediately after collecting.

Blademaster:
Move back and forth until it’s beside you. Attack and backstep/sidestep, then stab.
For the orange variant, do the same but repeat twice.

Sentry:
Just run up and stab.
If it’s confused, it’ll chase you like those zone 1 Wraiths. Be careful when they’re near confusion traps.

Lich:
These guys will ruin your day. Try to shuffle around until you’re one space away diagonally. Then step away, line up with it, and stab. The red and black variant aren’t worth the risk unless you have a bonus to damage output. Try not to get confused, but if you are, moving towards it twice should finish it off.

Warlock:
Use the same shuffling strategy as with the Blademaster, but be careful of the teleporting.
For the Neon variant, shuffle back and forth until both you and the enemy approach each other simultaneously, then hit it twice.

Armadillo:
Avoid if at all possible, but if you’re stuck trying to kill it, dodge and chase. Unless you have a bonus to damage, you’ll usually have to dodge/chase at least twice. Be wary of its diagonal attack.

Minibosses

Ogre:
Move yourself directly beside him and stab until he raises his club. Sidestep the attack, move back into position, and repeat until dead.

Nightmare:
By far the most straightforward of the zone 4 miniboss battles.
Kite it by moving back and forth until it’s adjacent, then stab and repeat. It’s essentially a Green Dragon with slightly more health.

Blue Dragon:
Speaking of dragons, here’s how to deal with the Blue ones.
Align yourself vertically with the dragon and attack the same way as if it was a Nightmare.
If you’re against a wall, move one step to the right or left. The Dragon will charge its frost breath.
Move one step either up or down, then left or right. You should be realigned vertically with the dragon. Repeat the Nightmare strategy until it’s defeated.

The Mommy:
One of the most difficult miniboss battles to deal with as Aria. Try to position yourself under the Mommy, and move down when it’s about to attack. Its child should spawn to your left. Kill it, hit the Mommy, and repeat. Alternatively, get above the Mommy and attack/dodge upwards for an easy kill.

Banshee:
Move around so it’s either 1 or 2 tiles away. If it’s one, stab. If it’s two, run to a wall and dig it, then stab. Repeat running to walls, digging, and attacking with the dagger until the Banshee is defeated.

Boss Tips

Coral Riff:
Throw your dagger at the main body. It should teleport to either the bottom-right or bottom-left corner. Move towards it, plant a bomb, and flee horizontally for a near-instant kill.

Deep Blues:
Move two spaces to the left and then move upwards repeatedly. The Knight and Queen should be below you and to your right, respectively. Stab the Queen and end the Knight, then continue the battle as normal. I usually move downwards, but depending on the starting position, different moves may be better.

Death Metal:
Keep up with the beat! Eliminate the ghosts at the earliest opportunity. Good luck with this one.

King Conga:
Go up and down to try to align yourself between the two lines. Alternate between attacking the right and left lines, then defeat the King to win.
