Overview
This guide goes over all achievements, song and gallery unlocks, plate unlocks, music videos, and will be updated after each new DLC release.
Introduction
Hi, I’m mdcurtis99, also known as Curtis. Some of you may know me from playing this game, since I have almost 9000 hours logged in both PC and PS4.
I’ve seen a lot of unlock guides and achievement guides, but there isn’t one BIG guide that puts all of it together. I realized, “Well, why don’t I just make my own guide? I know almost everything about the game anyways.” And that’s exactly what I did. I tried to include everything from the basics, how everything works, every unlock in the game, and every achievement. I know it is really big and can be really confusing, but everything is sorted by DLC Pack!
All of the Base Game Sections are a bit confusing since there’s a lot of unlocks and tutorials and whatnot I tried to include for new players. If you aren’t a new player and don’t need tutorials feel free to skip right past them. They are there only if you need them. I spent a lot of time writing everything and gathering info so everyone could understand certain terms more clearly. You can click all the pictures to zoom in for a better view (I am aware some font is very small).
Also, I’m a gamer, not an English major, so please tell me if you see typos and I will fix them. Please let me know if anything you see in this guide is wrong or missing (which is bound to happen), and I will add it. Thanks!
You can find me at mdcurtis99 on Twitch and YouTube. I like to stream a lot, mostly DJMAX!
What is DJMAX RESPECT V?
- DJMAX RESPECT V is a continuation in the DJMAX series since its latest release of DJMAX Technika Q in 2013. DJMAX RESPECT was released in 2017 for the PS4. DJMAX RESPECT V is a PC port version of the PS4 game. It is a rhythm game that features notes scrolling down a screen with the player hitting them to the beat. It’s simple to learn, yet hard to master.
Pressing F1 in-game will bring up the tutorial menu where you can learn about the different types of notes and how to play.
Pressing Shift in the tutorial menu will bring you to the Help screen. Depending on which of the 6 modes you’re on it will teach you a little about each one. I recommend it if you have never played any DJMAX game before.
- All Normal, Hard, and Maximum charts were designed specifically for use by a PS4 controller, but all can be played with a keyboard. SC patterns are designed specifically for keyboard.
Air Mode
Air Mode is DJMAX’s way of connecting the community together through DJMAX songs.
- Air Mode consists of 3 different pretend radio stations that are separated by the stages “Beginner Stage”, “Standard Stage”, and “Master Stage”. At the bottom you will see a few settings options.
- Pressing Tab will switch your button mode.
- Pressing F4 will turn AUTO PLAY on. AUTO PLAY lets the music play without you having to hit the notes.
- By scrolling down to the Difficulty section, you can use the Left or Right arrow keys to move the range of difficulty. Yellow ✦s on the left are easy, orange ✦s in the middle are harder, and red ✦s on the right are the hardest difficulty.
________________________________________________________________
- Once you select a stage the game will load the song that is currently playing.
- If AUTO PLAY is on the game will play for you, and you will not get any points. You can turn AUTO PLAY off by hitting a note or pressing F4.
- Pressing F3 will send a heart in the space to the right.
- Pressing Enter will open the chat box where you can leave a comment for others to see.
When the song ends, a new one will automatically be played. You can back out at any time by hitting Esc.
Free Style
Free Style is a free play option that lets you play whatever you want however you want. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to pick a track and Left and Right arrow keys to select a difficulty. Press Enter or F5 to start.
There are 4 button modes in DJMAX RESPECT V:
- 4 Button Tunes
- 5 Button Tunes
- 6 Button Tunes
- 8 Button Tunes
Each of these will be referred to as 4B, 5B, 6B, and 8B from here onwards.
- 4B features 4 different lanes where notes may come down. The default controls for the 4 lanes from left to right are A, S, ;, and ‘. Side Tracks are hit with Left Shift and Right Shift.
- 5B features 5 different lanes where notes may come down. The middle lane is shared by 2 keys simultaneously. The default controls for the 5 lanes from left to right are A, S, D, L, ;, and ‘. Side Tracks are hit with Left Shift and Right Shift.
- 6B features 6 different lanes where notes may come down. The default controls for the 6 lanes from left to right are A, S, D, L, ;, and ‘. Side Tracks are hit with Left Shift and Right Shift.
- 8B features 8 different lanes where notes may come down. There are 2 FX note lanes that look like thin pink bars. The default controls for the 6 lanes from left to right are A, S, D, L, ;, and ‘. FX Notes are hit with C and ,. Side Tracks are hit with Left Shift and Right Shift.
Tip: You can quickly switch button modes by pressing “4”, “5”, “6”, or “8” instead of hitting Tab.
________________________________________________________________
- Song Pack Tabs separate songs into which DJMAX game they are from. You can switch between them using the Left and Right Shift buttons. There are 15 different tabs:
*To add a song to your Favorites Tab, press F9 on any song. It’s a way of selecting your favorite tracks so you can find them more easily.
**The 3 songs from Guilty Gear (Break a Spell, Holy Orders (Be Just Or Be Dead), and Marionette) are free, and the rest of the songs in the Collaboration tab are paid DLC.
Tip: You can quickly switch song titles by pressing any letter and it will automatically scroll to the song that is first in alphabetical order for that letter (If I press the “F” Key it will scroll to the song “Fallen Angel”).
________________________________________________________________
- Songs with a yellow marking in the top left corner are in your Favorites tab.
- This is what the Favorites tab looks like.
________________________________________________________________
- There are 4 different song difficulty levels: Normal (NM), Hard (HD), Maximum (MX), and SC (there is no official acronym in this game for what SC stands for but it is widely assumed that SC stands for Super Crazy, referring back to DJMAX Online). Every song has a Normal chart, and can have 2, 3, or 4 song difficulty levels. Normal is the easiest in difficulty, while SC is specifically meant for keyboard usage and it the hardest in difficulty.
- There are 15 different “✦” Difficulty Levels ranging from 1-15 and are colored by yellow, orange, and red. 1✦ difficulty is the easiest, and 15✦ difficulty is the hardest.
________________________________________________________________
- Pressing F4 will bring up the Sort Menu.
You can choose to sort all of the songs…
- Alphabetically by Title
- Reverse Alphabetically by Title
- BPM Slowest to Fastest
- BPM Fastest to Slowest
- Difficulty Lowest to Highest
- Difficulty Highest to Lowest
- Release Date Newest to Oldest
- Release Date Oldest to Newest
________________________________________________________________
One last important feature to mention is the Equipment Tab.
Your speed mod determines how fast the notes scroll down the screen on a scale of 1.0 to 9.0 in increments of .1, with 9.0 being the fastest scroll speed.
- Your FEVER is a score and combo multiplier.
When this setting is OFF, you will not get any extra score or FEVER.
When this setting is on X5, you can activate your FEVER bar manually mid-song.
When this setting is on AUTO X5, the game will automatically activate your fever for you.
See Section Glossary for more info about FEVER.
Free Style (continued)
- Your Fader is an added on modifier that alters the way your notes appear drastically. The different types of faders are:
Fade In – Notes will be invisible at the top of the screen and will slowly fade into view as they scroll down
Fade In 2 – Same as Fade In but more extreme
Fade Out – Notes will be visible at the top of the screen and will slowly fade out as they scroll down
Fade Out 2 – Same as Fade Out but more extreme
Blink – Makes notes fade in and out of view
Blink 2 – Same as Blink but more extreme
Fog – Creates a cloud of fog on the judgment line to hinder your vision
Pixel – Makes the entire screen progressively more pixelated and changes back to normal after a BREAK
Pixel 2 – Same as Pixel but more extreme
Blind – Makes notes completely invisible
________________________________________________________________
- The Chaos option is an added on modifier that alters the way your gear / speed appear drastically. The different types of chaos modifiers are:
Random – All lanes are randomized (every note in Lane 1 can either stay in Lane 1 or switch with the other lanes)
Half Random – The Gear is split down the middle and lanes are randomized on each half (Lane 1 can only be switched with Lanes 2 and 3 in 6B, not Lanes 4, 5, and 6)
Max Random – All notes and lanes are randomized (stairs may turn into jacks in different lanes)
Mirror – Mirrors all lanes (Lanes 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 become 4 – 3 – 2 – 1)
Chaos W – Makes the scroll speed of the notes speed up and slow down drastically mid-song
Slide Up – Scroll speed is slow at first then gradually speeds up tremendously and will slow down back to normal after a BREAK
Slide Down – Scroll speed is fast at first then gradually slows down tremendously and will speed up back to normal after a BREAK
Reverse – Turns the Gear upside down so notes scroll from the bottom-up
4D – Makes the speed of each lane completely random
________________________________________________________________
- The Gear Transparency determines how transparent the center of the gear is from a scale of 0% to 100%. Setting it to 0% will make it completely opaque while setting it to 100% will make it completely see-through.
- The Gear Position determines where your gear is located on the screen and can be moved to the left, center, or right.
- The Display Rate option can be toggled on or off to display your accuracy rate mid-song.
- In the Gear options you can switch between the different gears you have unlocked.
- In the Note options you can switch between the different note skins you have unlocked.
- Pressing F8 on a song will bring up the leaderboards for that specific pattern and shows the top 100 scores. Pressing Space shows what your rank is if you have completed that pattern.
Online – Ladder Match
There are 2 Online modes: Ladder Match and Open Match. We’ll start with Ladder Match first.
- Ladder Match is a competitive head-to-head online mode where you select what button modes you want to play, and get matched with another player based on your tier level. Higher tiers will match you with harder players and vice versa.
- There are 9 tiers and 4 divisions for most tiers in Ladder Mode. Winning matches will earn you LP (Ladder Points) and after earning enough LP you can reach the next tier. Here is a table showing the best tier at the top and lowest tier on the bottom.
- There is only one division in the Master tier, and Grand Masters are the 5 people that have the highest LP in the Master tier. There is no infinite cap to how much LP you can earn in the Master tier.
- Divisions in tiers are sorted by Roman numerals I through IV with I being the best and IV being the worst.
- Based on a new update, LP points will decay daily after 10 days. If you do not play Ladder Mode in 10 days, you will lose 30 LP in the Platinum tiers, 50 LP Diamond, 70 LP in Master, and 100 LP in Grand Master.
________________________________________________________________
- The history tab will tell you every match you’ve played and how many points each person got on the songs played.
- The leaderboard tab will show the top 100 players and all of their stats, including wins and losses, accuracy, and their rank and LP.
________________________________________________________________
- You will be met with this screen when trying to start a Ladder Match. You must select which button modes you would prefer to play and you will be matched with someone else who selects those button modes.
From the unranked tier to Gold 1 you only need to activate at least one button mode to start the match. From Platinum 4 to Diamond 2 you need to activate at least 2 button modes to play. And from Diamond 1 to Grand Master you have to activate all button modes to play.
- Only activating one button mode means you will only play that button mode. If I’m in Gold 3 and pick 4B I will only be matched with someone else that picks 4B, and we will play 4B songs.
- Activating 2 button modes does not mean you will get to play them both. If I’m in Platinum 3 and choose to play 4B and 6B, my opponent may be someone who picks 4B and 5B. We will only play 4B songs. If we both chose to play 4B and 6B songs, then we will play 4B and 6B songs.
- Activating every button mode means there is a chance that all 4 button modes will come into play.
________________________________________________________________
- You will first be asked to eliminate a song from the match so that you will not have to play it, and your opponent gets this option as well. Eliminating a song means it is banned from the match and you will not have to play it.
- Here you can see your opponent, their current rank and pre-season rank (the faded picture behind the platinum logo means he was a Diamond tier in pre-season, and the X logo behind my platinum logo means I was a Master tier in pre-season), and the song and pattern you will play.
- Here is what the interface looks like in the middle of a song.
- Here is what the interface looks like after a song.
- The +399 means I won by 399 points and the -399 on his side means he lost by 399 points. These will change in real time mid-song. White means you are in the lead and red means you are losing.
- You can also see your opponents accuracy and how many breaks they had, if any.
- The 0-0 near the middle shows the amount of points we have, and since that was the first song we did not have any points yet. The big red and blue meter in the middle is another add-on that shows score in real time.
________________________________________________________________
- You will play two songs, and whoever has the highest score after each song gets a point. A draw will result in both players getting a point. If you or your opponent has more points after 2 songs, the match is over and that person is declared the winner. If you and your opponent have the same amount of points after 2 songs, the match will move on to a third song.
- The third song will have harder judgement making the timing windows for 100% more difficult. Whoever has a higher score at the end of this song will be declared the winner. If you are somehow still tied after the third song, you will have to play another song on hard judgement to break the tie. Every ladder match must have a winner.
- The first person to earn 2 points and has more points than their opponent wins the match. Think of it like tennis. You can tie on the first song and win the second song and be the winner. You will only go to a third round if the score is 1-1 or 2-2.
- I gained +24 LP for winning the match, and you can see that since the score was 1-1 after 2 songs, we went to a hard judgment third song.
Online – Open Match
Open Match is a more casual online type where you can play whatever you want with up to 6 other friends.
- Here you can see all the lobbies available. Gray lobbies mean the lobby is full or already playing a song. Rainbow lobbies are ones you can join, and lobbies that have a lock on them require a password.
Press F4 to create your own room:
- You can set the name, password (leave it blank if you don’t want a password), mode (you can force everyone to play one button mode. “Free” means you can choose any button mode), and the max number of players.
________________________________________________________________
- This is a full lobby with 7 players. The host chooses the song, and everyone must ready up to play it. The host cannot start a song without everyone ready.
________________________________________________________________
- You can press Enter to open up the chat box and type to other players.
- You may be asking “Why 7 players? That’s such a weird number”. This is what the interface looks like in the middle of a song:
- As you can see, a 7 player layout is pretty much the best way to fit everyone on screen and keep your gear normal-sized. You can see every other player’s accuracy and breaks as well as what pattern they’re playing.
________________________________________________________________
- Observe mode is an option players can choose by hitting Tab enough times. It will make you be a spectator for that song, and you can watch everyone else without having to play anything.
- If the host chooses a DLC song you do not own, you will be forced into Observe mode. However, if you have purchased the Season Pass then you are able to play any DLC song the host owns. But if you are the host, you cannot choose songs you have not purchased.
- You can send emoticons, which are a type of reaction in the lobby menu or mid-game:
Mission Mode
Mission Mode is a series of challenges with specific requirements when playing songs.
- There are 60 missions in the base game, with each getting progressively more difficult than the last. After clearing a mission, most of them will give you a gallery or plate reward.
- The mission shows what songs you must play and the difficulty, the requirements for clearing the mission, and it will sometimes change your equipment.
- The most songs a mission can have is 6, but they can be any Button Mode or difficulty. Some songs say 4B Maximum RANDOM, for example. The mission will randomly select a 4B Maximum pattern from the base game.
- There are some exceptions when it comes to the song difficulties. In certain DLC packs you must play missions that have 4B FX or 5B FX. These are just standard 4B and 5B but add the pink FX notes from 8B into it. All three Technika DLCs include TB missions which play just like their original Technika games.
________________________________________________________________
To clear the mission, you must meet all of the requirements:
- Score – Get a higher score than the number shown to pass the requirement.
- FEVER – You must manually activate your FEVER up to the specified amount at least once.
- Combo – Get a higher combo than the number shown to pass the requirement.
- Rate – Get a higher accuracy rate than the number shown to pass the requirement.
- BREAK – Get fewer BREAKS than the number shown to pass the requirement.
- You may practice a specific song in a mission. You cannot practice a pattern you have not seen yet. For example, if I pass Heavenly and move on to Chrono Breakers and fail, I can practice Heavenly or Chrono Breakers. It will not let me practice KILLER BEE unless I have reached it. You can practice any song from a mission you have already cleared.
Collection
Collection Mode shows your stats collectibles, and play info. Press Shift to switch between tabs.
________________________________________________________________
- Your Profile page will show your name, Level, how many collectibles you have unlocked, Play Data, and Total Play Count. You can also see your inventory at the bottom of the screen by hitting F11.
________________________________________________________________
- Your Play Info page will give you a breakdown of your Rank Percentages per Button Mode, your best combo, total points and Master Score, hardest song clear and Max Combo, and your top 10 most played tracks.
Hitting the Right arrow key will bring you to the Music Data page:
- It will tell you your Play Count, highest score, best rate, and best combo on each individual song or pattern. Press Space to switch between pack tabs.
________________________________________________________________
- The Achievement page is an in-game achievement system that will give you rewards like plates or gears if you complete specific challenges. I will go over how to unlock everything from this menu in the section All Collection Achievements.
________________________________________________________________
- The Gallery page is a collage of background art images for songs. These can be viewed and zoomed in by pressing Enter on any of them. I will go over how to unlock every Gallery image in the section Base Game Gallery.
________________________________________________________________
- The Music Video page is a compilation of all Music Videos you have unlocked. You can sort them into 9 different playlists with as many songs as you want in them. When watching a Music Video, info about the song can be found at the bottom left. You can skip the current song, choose to repeat a song, choose to repeat all songs, or pause the video. I will go over how to unlock every Music Video in the section All Music Videos (BGAs).
Ranking
Ranking Mode shows where you place among other players.
- The Master Ranking lists the top 100 players determined by total points.
- The crown next to your name means that is your profile.
- There are 4 Master Ranking leaderboards, each separated by Button Modes. Press Tab to switch between them.
- Press Space to see where you rank on the leaderboards.
________________________________________________________________
Press Shift to see the Music Ranking:
- This just lists every song by alphabetical order and song pack.
Settings and Inventory
Press F10 in any menu to bring up the settings:
- Most of the options are basic settings on any computer game.
- Turning “Play Opening Move” ON will play the Music Video for Boom! with staff credits every time you launch the game.
- Turning “Display Background Animation” off will disable all in-game background art and be replaced with a turquoise image.
- “Adjust Note Output Time” will cause the notes to appear earlier or after. Setting it to +ms will make notes appear later and setting is to -ms will make notes appear earlier.
- Audio output will be faster if the “Audio Buffer Size” is set to small.
________________________________________________________________
- Scrolling all the way to the bottom and pressing Space on “Input Setting” will allow you to remap your keys to whatever you wish (except for Enter).
- Make sure to save your changes once finished.
________________________________________________________________
Press F11 in any menu to bring up the Inventory:
- You can change your DJ Icon, Plate, Comment, Gear, Note Skin, Combo Skin, Judgement Skin, Emoticons, and User Interface Theme (depends if you own DLC or not).
Clear Pass
- The Clear Pass is DJMAX’s version of the popular “Battle Pass” implemented in lots of other games.
- It is divided into 30 tiers, with one row being a free pass for everyone and the other being a Steam purchase. The goal is to clear songs and earn XP to level up your Clear Pass to unlock more cosmetics.
- Season 1 has already ended after 90 days and there is still no word on whether or not you can unlock those specific cosmetics now that the season has ended.
- Season 2 will end around August 2nd.
- You can purchase the Season 2 Clear Pass in the Steam store here.
________________________________________________________________
- To level up in the clear pass, you can clear songs, missions, and play matches in both online modes. The only thing you can’t do is level up by playing in Air Mode.
- I am not 100% certain (based on what I have seen so far) exactly how much XP you get from doing what. I usually earn 200 points from clearing a song in Free Style, and get a daily bonus worth 1000 points when it’s the first song I cleared on that day. The daily bonus resets at 00:00 GMT daily. Missions will give you a few hundred points. Open Match will give 200 points for clearing a song + 50 for an “Open Match bonus”. Ladder Match seems to give the most at around 200 points per song + 500 points for a win or 400 points for a loss. With the premium pass, these point amounts are greatly increased, earning you around 400 for each song cleared.
If you have any information about the points per mode that would be greatly appreciated!
________________________________________________________________
- As mentioned before, there are 30 tiers, with each tier progressively requiring more XP to reach the next step. Every user will be able to unlock the bottom row, which unlocks one cosmetic about every 2 tiers. The premium pass users will be able to unlock the bottom row as well as the entire top row.
There are a total of 9 types of cosmetics items you can unlock. Here is a table of what you can unlock with each type of pass:
Here is how many points you need for each tier in the Clear Pass:
Here is a video of the new Summer Theme (Video Credit to ValenBoA):
Unlocking Songs
- There are currently 172 (not including Guilty Gear; more may be added) songs that are available in the base game, separated by the game categories of Respect, Portable 1, and Portable 2. When you first buy the game, lots of songs will be unavailable for you to play. There are multiple methods of unlocking songs:
________________________________________________________________
- Purchasing this will automatically unlock every song in the base game. I highly advise you DO NOT buy this. It is a waste of money since you will unlock everything through natural progression.
________________________________________________________________
- Completing any song from start to finish will reward you with XP to level up, with the max level being 999. You will unlock a new song for every new level up to level 99. Here is a table posted by the developers listing the song unlocks for each level (songs not included are either available from the start or require DLC):
Note: There are 8 songs in the Respect section that are part of DLC packs, so you must buy DLC to unlock them:

*Guilty Gear is added in for free, but I decided to leave it as a separate category for the sake of keeping everything non-DLC as its own category.
**GEAR PACK DLC are purchasable items that give you cosmetics like plates or gears.
- Much of what you unlock will either be by clearing songs or clearing the in-game achievements in the collection menu, described in “Collection”
- I have tried my best to organize the tables as clear as possible so that if you are only missing one specific plate you can easily find it.
- All missions will be labeled as {#-#} with the first number being one of the 10 tabs in the mission select screen and the second number being one of the 6 missions in that tab.

All Music Videos (BGAs)
- Music Videos are unlocked by getting a Max Combo or a Perfect Play on a song for the first time on any button mode or difficulty. There are 417 Music Videos (one for every song), 10 hidden Music Videos (BGAs), and 5 bonus Music Videos, making for a grand total of 432.
________________________________________________________________
There are 6 hidden BGAs in the base game, 1 in the TRILOGY PACK, 1 in the CLAZZIQUAI PACK, 1 in the TECHNIKA PACK, and 1 in the ESTIMATE PACK. They are:
- [Portable 1] Enemy Storm / Enemy Storm (Old Ver.)
- [Portable 2] A Lie / A Lie (Unused Ver.)
- [Portable 1] Out Law / Out Law (Old Ver.)
- [Portable 1] Never Say / Never Say (Old Ver.)
- [Portable 2] Whiteblue / WhiteBlue (Old Ver.)
- [Respect] NB Ranger – Virgin Force / NB Ranger – Virgin Force (Storyboard Ver.)
- [Trilogy] STOP / STOP (TECHNIKA1 Ver.)
- [Clazziquai] First Kiss / First Kiss (Unused Ver.)
- [Technika] Thor / Thor (TECHNIKA Tune Ver.)
- [ESTIMATE] U-NIVUS / U-NIVUS (Storyboard Ver.)
There is a 10% chance of a hidden BGA appearing when loading the song from Music Select. With that being said, you cannot hit Restart and expect the video to change. You must go back to Music Select and load the song to try again. You must get a Max Combo or Perfect Play if you would like to unlock it in collection. You may restart as many times as you want to get a Max Combo. For the achievements related to hidden BGAs you only have to see the hidden BGA for it to unlock. You do not need a Max Combo for the achievements.
________________________________________________________________
You can mostly tell whether or not you loaded the hidden BGA from the first few seconds. Here is what the hidden BGAs look like:
(Video Credit to CROIX)
(The left half is regular BGA, right half is hidden BGA.)
- [Portable 1] Enemy Storm / Enemy Storm (Old Ver.)

Glossary
Here are some terms you may find confusing or have no idea what they mean. Think of it as a mini-dictionary. If anything else should be added here, let me know.
Here is a comparison of X2 FEVER (blue) and X5 FEVER (orange):
The left screen is the FEVER build and the right screen is on AUTO X5. As you can see at 1:38 there is a large section of no notes. The screen on the left builds FEVER to continue the X5 stream while on AUTO X5 it runs out.
My friend Sir_Kneegis is working on a complete FEVER build spreadsheet for every song and every Button Mode that gives an increase in score. You can find it here.[docs.google.com]
Achievements Info
- Estimated time to earn all base game achievements without DLC: 80-500 hours (highly skill dependent)
- Estimated difficulty to earn all base game achievements without DLC: 9/10 (highly skill dependent)
- Estimated time to earn all base game achievements with DLC: 50-500 hours (highly skill dependent)
- Estimated difficulty to earn all base game achievements with DLC: 6.5/10 (highly skill dependent)
If you have little to no experience in other rhythm games obviously it will take longer and be much harder to earn every achievement.
Here is a table of how many achievements come with each DLC:
RESPECT V
Collected all DJMAX RESPECT V Achievement.
This is awarded for unlocking all base game Steam achievements, not in-game Collection achievements. You do not need DLC to get this.
Hidden Achievements
Struggling to find where that one hidden achievement is in this huge guide? Don’t know which hidden achievements you still need?
Look no further, I’ve got you covered. Here is a table of every hidden achievement and where they are located in this guide so you can see how to unlock them:
Base Game Achievements – Air Mode
ON AIR
Played AIR for the first time.
Choose Air Mode on the main menu and then select any difficulty.
Airborne
Commented in AIR.
In Air Mode press Enter to bring up the chat box and type anything you want then hit Enter again.
Too Much Talker
Commented in 10 tracks in AIR.
In Air Mode send 10 comments on 10 different tracks.
Heart Singal
Used Heart Sticker in AIR.
Press F3 in Air Mode to send a heart.
DJ Alpha Live
Played your favorite track in AIR.
Slightly misleading. You have to play your #1 most played song in Air Mode, not a song in your favorites tab.
My most played song is Miles, so I have to play Miles in Air Mode from start to finish. See this guide for more information on how this achievement works. It is slightly outdated but you will get the general idea. The songs are listed by DLC PACK in Alphabetical Order.
You must select the song from the Air Mode Menu and then let it finish. You cannot leave Air Mode on overnight and get this achievement.
Base Game Achievements – Free Style
Hopefully This Achievement Will Help You Keep Calm
Failed a stage for the first time.
Choose any song on any difficulty and when the song starts do nothing. You’ll get a game over screen with some nice music.
Maybe Next Time..
Cleared with a single BREAK.
Choose any song on any difficulty (preferably an easy one). Miss the first note completely, then hit every note after that. Accuracy does not matter, just do not miss any more notes. You should end with one break if done correctly.
I Will Rule This Game
Cleared all songs.
To clear a song just play it from start to finish without getting a game over. You need to clear all base game songs, including Respect, Portable 1, Portable 2, and Guilty Gear.
JUST 100%
Cleared a pattern with PERFECT PLAY.
One of the hardest achievements for beginners. You achieve a Perfect Play by getting 100% accuracy on a song. My word of advice would be to definitely choose a 1✦ difficulty song on 4B since these are the easiest in the game. Don’t spend too much time going for a perfect right at the start! It takes a while to get used to the timing windows and when you need to hit the key to get 100%.
It would also help to increase your speed and see when the notes are close to the judgment line. Playing on a slow speed will affect your accuracy immensely. If you are still struggling to get good accuracy, play around with your frame rate settings and music sync settings in the settings menu by hitting F10.

Archaeologist

Save in My Heart
Found all hidden BGA (Hidden)
There are 6 hidden BGAs in the base game, and you must find all of them. Thankfully, they do not require any skill to get. See Section Music Videos (BGAs) for details about every Music Video and hidden BGA.

Jaw Dropping Performance
Cleared with 5000 or more combos.
That Achievement
Cleared with 10000 or more combos. (Hidden)
You must clear a single song finishing with over 10,000 combo. There are 8 patterns in the base game that reward over 10,000 combo.
Ghost Voices 6B Hard is the easiest out of this list to get a max combo on. It is still a 10✦ difficulty, so this is not what you want to play at the start of the game. Focus more on hitting notes rather than accuracy. Accuracy does not affect combo. You can get as many 1% notes as you want and still finish with 10,000 combo. Here is a video of me playing the pattern (sorry for the bad quality, I’m not great at editing):

Combo Meister
Accomplished 100000 combos.
THE LORD OF COMBO
Accomplished 999999 combos.
To accumulate combo in Free Style make sure the Freestyle Combo Chain is turned ON in the F10 settings menu:
This will unlock combo accumulation and allows you to add combo playing multiple patterns. Here is what it will look like when it is ON:
Turning it OFF will lock your combo in place and you cannot lose it even after breaking. Here is what it looks like when it is OFF:
These 2 achievements will require a lot of grinding. You must earn 999,999 combo in free style without getting a single break. It may sound insane, but here’s why it is relatively easy…
1. Make sure your fever is on AUTO X5. This makes it so you can get 5 times as much combo for one note.
2. As long as you get a Max Combo on the pattern, your combo chain will never drop.
These will be game-spanning achievements. However, you do need to pay attention if you get a break in a song. Once that songs ends, your combo chain will be gone.
3. Have a 700,000 combo chain that you don’t want to lose? Are you worried that you will lose your combo on a very hard pattern? Don’t worry! As long as you hit Restart before Music Select, you will keep your combo! DO NOT EVER HIT MUSIC SELECT FIRST. You will be presented with this image:
DO NOT HIT YES. If you do, your entire combo chain will be gone. Hit Restart, THEN Music Select and your combo will be fine. This allows you to play whatever songs you want without fear of losing your combo.
Easy songs to quickly gain combo:
5✦ difficulty and below:
Always 4B Normal
Ghost Voices 4B Normal
Hello Pinky 4B Normal
comet 5B Normal
Ghost Voices 5B Normal
Kingdom 5B Normal
Always 6B Normal
Lost n’ found 6B Normal
Tok! Tok! Tok! 6B Normal
“Always” is a good song to grind combo since it features lots of long notes to keep the combo going.
Base Game Achievements – Free Style (continued)
Happy Lucky Day
Cleared with 777 combos. (Hidden)
This requires you to achieve exactly 777 combo in your combo chain. This can be over multiple songs or strategically using your fever on one song. I have found the easiest method of reaching 777 combo:
- Make sure to turn your Free Style Combo Chain ON, your combo is at 0, and your FEVER is OFF!
1. Play 바람에게부탁해 (Ask to Wind) on 4B Normal
- BREAK the first 5 notes, then hit everything else.
2. Play The Lost Story on 4B Normal
- Hit every note, and you should end up with 777 combo.
Here is a video of me doing it to see more clearly (sorry for the bad quality, I’m not great at editing):
- Accuracy does not affect combo! You will still get 777 combo even with 60% accuracy.
- There are other methods that take only one song to complete, but this was the easiest method so that anyone could do it.
Here is a video of how to do this as quickly as possible (video credit to Untold Extacy):
________________________________________________________________
S Rank Master
Acquired S Rank for 100 times.
Getting an S Rank on a song requires at least 97% accuracy on a song. To see your rate mid-song turn DISPLAY RATE on in the Equipment tab by pressing Space. This should come naturally as you progress through the game and get better. Get an S Rank 100 times to get the achievement. (I can confirm you can get an S Rank on the same song 100 times. They do not all need to be on different patterns.)
________________________________________________________________
Each Single Point Counts
Accumulated 100,000,000 points.
Diligence will pay off one day
Accumulated 200,000,000 points.
Perfect Perfectionist
Accumulated 300,000,000 points.
While these three achievements are not particularly hard, they will require a lot of grinding. You cannot play one song over and over for more points, you must accumulate points on different patterns. With FEVER on, you will most likely get around 300,000 to 360,000 points per pattern. That means you will have to play around 800-1000 different patterns. With each song being around 2 minutes in length, you’re looking to spend around 30 hours total just playing different patterns without stopping. This is cumulative across all button modes, and you can play any button mode you want, but you will most likely get this through natural progression of the game.
An easy way to see how many points you have is to view it in the collection’s Play Info or in the in-game achievements menu under “Total Score”.

Up-Side-Down!
Cleared 10 patterns with difficulty level 10 or higher in MAX COMBO.
Testing Your Skills
Cleared 30 patterns with difficulty level 10 or higher in MAX COMBO.
Fingers Outspace Notes
Cleared 50 patterns with difficulty level 10 or higher in MAX COMBO.
- There are a total of about 700 patterns in the base game across all button modes that are a 10✦ difficulty or above. You must get a Max Combo on 50 of them.
- 10✦ patterns will be the easiest for you to Max Combo. You cannot play one chart repeatedly, it has to be 50 different patterns. Accuracy does not matter, just be sure to hit every note. This will come through natural progression as you get better at the game. Buying more song DLCs will make this easier since there will be more 10✦ patterns to Max Combo.
________________________________________________________________
Hidden Talent
Cleared 100 patterns in MAX COMBO.
Combos First!
Cleared 300 patterns in MAX COMBO.
Break the Limit
Cleared 500 patterns in MAX COMBO.
- There are a total of around 1,800 patterns in the base game across all button modes. You must get a Max Combo on 500 of them.
- You cannot play one chart repeatedly, you must Max Combo 500 different patterns. Accuracy does not matter, just be sure to hit every note. This will come through natural progression as you get better at the game. Buying more song DLCs will make this easier since there will be more easy patterns to Max Combo.
Base Game Achievements – Missions
If you are planning on getting these achievements without buying any DLC, it will be MUCH HARDER. There are 60 missions in the base game and you will have to clear 50. However, the last 20 or so missions are extremely difficult, and will require a LOT of skill to be able to pass. The TRILOGY, CLAZZIQUAI, BLACK SQUARE, V EXTENSION, TECHNIKA 1, TECHNIKA 2, TECHNIKA 3 , and PORTABLE 3 DLC all have an extra 12 missions that will count towards these achievements. The first 3 or 4 in each of those are moderately easy, so if you see yourself at 41/50 missions completed and cannot pass the rest, DLC missions are very easy to complete.

A Smooth Ride
Cleared 10 Missions
You Must Be a Pro
Cleared 30 Missions
BEAT MAESTRO
Cleared 50 Missions
Self-explanatory. Clear 10, 30, and 50 missions in Mission Mode. DLC missions count for these trophies.

DJ Alpha Resigns
Won against an A.I in Mission. (Hidden)
A.I missions look like this:
There is only ONE A.I mission in the base game, and it is very difficult to beat. All you have to do is have a higher score than the A.I at the end of all the songs. If you’re looking to do this without paying for any DLC, good luck.
In the TRILOGY DLC, the A.I is much easier to beat, and the songs you have to play are much easier.
I would recommend beating the A.I here as it will cause you much less stress in the long run.
There are also five other A.I missions in different DLC packs:
V EXTENSION
CLAZZIQUAI
BLACK SQUARE
These are also very difficult, but as long as you beat one A.I mission, you will get the achievement.
Base Game Achievements – Online Mode
Succeeding You Father
Give Host to other user in Open Match.
Create a public lobby in Open Match. Once someone joins, press F9 to go into player options and select HOST on any other player.
No One likes to Lose
Recorded 1st in a Open Match.
You need a FULL LOBBY (7 players) for this. Play a song in Open Match and either perform well and get the highest score or just tell the other players to let you win.
It’s Party Time
All players cleared a track with MAX COMBO in Open Match.
Slightly misleading. You need a FULL LOBBY (7 players) to get a max combo on the same song. This might require some coordination so either ask all of your friends or tell everyone in the lobby to choose the easiest difficulty and get a Max Combo. To make this easier pick a song that has a 1✦ difficulty on 4B, like Only for you, Can We Talk, or Save My Dream.
Try try
Played Open Match 100 times.
This will require a little bit of grinding. You just have to play 100 songs in Open Match, which will take a long time, but is not difficult at all.
________________________________________________________________
Time To Show Up
Played a Ladder Match for the first time.
Start Ladder Match in the online menu, choose 4B since it is the easiest button mode, and you will be matched with a bot. It does not matter if you win, just play the match from start to finish.
Rift Rivals
Scored draw in Ladder Match.
There are 3 different methods of drawing in Ladder Match:
1. Both players get a Perfect Play
2. Getting the same Max Combo % (for example, 98.70% – 98.70%)
3. Both players hit one note and fail.
- Option 3 is highly recommended for this achievement as it is easy to match up with a friend in the same ladder tier as you and to just both hit one 100% note and then miss everything else. Try getting to the same tier as a friend and match up in a less-popular button mode like 5B when there are the least amount of people playing (Around 5 PM EST according to Steam Charts). You cannot draw with a score of 0 or it will not count!
________________________________________________________________
Can’t Believe I am Bronze
Promoted to BRONZE in Ladder Match.
The Dark Dragon Awakens
Promoted to SILVER in Ladder Match.
Golden Ladder
Promoted to GOLD in Ladder Match.
Self-explanatory. Bronze tier is below silver, silver tier is below gold. Gold is slightly harder to get into if you don’t understand most of the basic game mechanics. I would recommend coming back to this once you get a good grasp of how you play the game.
Base Game Achievements – Miscellaneous

You have reached Level 50.
DJMAX GRAND MASTER
You have reached Level 99.

You’re So Into This
Reached 40% of Master Score with any button.
Started DJMAX Online
Reached 80% of Master Score with any button.
“Master Score” refers to the total percent of patterns in a button mode that you have a Max Combo or S Rank on.
Buying DLC makes this much easier! Master Score goes up to 100% in the base game. That means you have to get a Max Combo or S Rank on 80% of the patterns in one button mode. Each DLC adds 5-20% on top of the 100% from the base game. That is why my Master Score is 290.0%. Buying more DLC adds more easy charts that you can Max Combo or get an S Rank on.
V EXTENSION PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V EXTENSION PACK is a DLC Pack filled with brand new, original songs. They are the newest songs out of any other DLC Pack. This DLC Pack will give you 20 songs for $24.99, a Dream it Gear and Note Skin, 26 new plates, 26 gallery images, 9 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a Dream it UI Theme.

V EXTENSION PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all V EXTENSION achievements: 3-50 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all V EXTENSION achievements: 8/10
DJMAX ACADEMY
Cleared all V EXTENSION tracks with S rank.
This achievement requires you to clear all 20 V EXTENSION songs with 97% accuracy or better for an S rank. Most of the 4B Normal patterns are pretty easy to achieve this on, but namely three (Kensei, Remember Me, and Vile Requiem) might give you some trouble as they are all a 7✦ difficulty. If you are good at any of the other Button Modes, Vile Requiem is only a 5✦ difficulty on the 6B Normal and Remember Me is a 6✦ difficulty on the 5B Normal.
Battle Against Self
Cleared 50 V EXTENSION patterns with MAX COMBO. (Hidden)
This achievement requires you to get a Max Combo on 50 V EXTENSION patterns. The easiest way to do this would be to play the Normal difficulty on every Button Mode. Most of the songs are 5✦ difficulty or lower, making for an easy Max Combo. However, if you struggle with other Button Modes and can only play 4B, I recommend sorting the patterns by easiest to hardest and working your way up. Remember that accuracy does not matter when going for a Max Combo, you just can’t miss a note.
Not Expected
Cleared Starlight Guitar mission.
Starlight Guitar is mission {1-6} in V EXTENSION:
This is one of the harder V EXTENSION achievements. To reach a score of 1,350,000 points for 3 songs you will need an average of 345,000 points per song. Getting 7,000 combo is not too much of a problem as the songs will give you well over 15,000. With that being said, if you are heading into the final song with only 300 or so combo, you should restart the mission. Dream it 6B Maximum only gives you around 6,600 combo. 98% accuracy will also be a big factor in whether you can clear this mission or not. If you are struggling at all to clear the mission as a whole, come back to it later once you’ve gotten a little bit better at the game.
Babe, Ima die
Cleared Icy Blonde mission. (Hidden)
Icy Blonde is mission {2-1} in V EXTENSION:
This mission is much easier than Starlight Guitar. You need an average of 300,000 points per song, and 3,000 combo. The catch is that the fog fader is on, which puts a big cloud of fog at the bottom near your judgment line making it impossible to see where to hit the notes. You will definitely want to practice this one, as it takes time to get used to not being able to see the notes hit the line. It’s more about feeling the music and knowing which notes are on the beat and which notes are off the beat. It also helps to look at the very top of the screen so you know what lanes the notes will be in, as well as speed it up.
Dream it
Cleared Dream it in MAX COMBO with Dream it Gear&Note. (Hidden)
This achievement requires you to switch your Gear and Note Skin to Dream it and get a Max Combo on the song of the same name. The 4B Normal is only a 4✦ difficulty, which should not be too hard. Here is what the Gear and Note Skin look like:
Collect Collect
Earned 10 V EXTENSION Images.
There are 26 V EXTENSION Gallery Images. You only need to earn 10. See Section V EXTENSION PACK Gallery Images on how to unlock them all.
Collecting Desire Never Ends
Earned 3 V EXTENSION Plates.
There are 26 V EXTENSION Plates. You only need to earn 3. See Section V EXTENSION PACK Plates on how to unlock them all.
New Track Review
Commented in V EXTENSION track in AIR.
In Air Mode, wait for a V EXTENSION song to show up (the stages mostly scroll alphabetically down each song pack) and type a comment on it.
Can’t stop SC
Cleared V EXTENSION track’s SC pattern with MAX COMBO.
This is the hardest achievement in the V EXTENSION PACK in my opinion. You must pass a V EXTENSION SC pattern with a Max Combo. The easiest patterns to do this on are Maharajah 4B SC and 5B SC, and Do it 6B SC. Do it 6B is kind of a stretch because while it is a 13✦ difficulty it is harder than the other 2 Maharajah patterns. I would recommend trying this on 4B since it is easier than 5B. My only tip of advice would be not to stress out too much and focus more on hitting the notes than getting 100% accuracy. If you are still struggling with this one, come back to it once you get better at the game.
Note: As part of a new update, new SC patterns for Fancy Night and Lost Temple have been added to the game. Fancy Night is arguably easier than Maharajah. This has been confirmed to work to get the achievement!
Here is a video of both Maharajah and Fancy Night if you would like to see the patterns:

Where Did You Come From…?
Cleared all TRILOGY songs in S Rank.
This achievement requires you to clear all 20 TRILOGY songs with 97% accuracy or better for an S rank. Most of the 4B Normal patterns are pretty easy to achieve this on, but namely three or four might give you some trouble as they are all a 7✦ or higher difficulty. I would definitely come back to this if you are still struggling with getting a 97% on 8✦ or 9✦s.
That’s Gotta be My Girlfriend!
All players cleared “Someday” with MAX COMBO in Open Match.
This requires a full room (7 players) to get a Max Combo on Someday in Open Match. I would coordinate this with other people because you are not likely to get this with random people since they will not really care and play the hardest difficulty anyway. Once all 7 players get a Max Combo (you can all play the 4B Normal too) you will get the achievement.
Do You Believe?
Cleared “My Jealousy” with MAX COMBO in Open Match.
Create a lobby in Open Match, wait for someone to join, choose “My Jealousy” on 4B Normal (it’s the easiest), and get a Max Combo.
Here Comes a New Skin…!
Used TRILOGY UI Skin
Press F11, go to “Theme”, and equip TRILOGY.
Don’t Miss Out On Upcoming Events!
Cleared “DJMAX RESPECT U” Mission
DJMAX RESPECT U is Mission {1-6} in Trilogy:
The good news is that all the songs are on 4B and there are only 2 mission requirements. The bad news is that these are not exactly the easiest of requirements to fulfill. KILLER BEE is much harder than the other patterns, so I would recommend getting the most amount of BREAKS there. If you can manage to get 5 BREAKS or less on the first 4 songs, go all out on KILLER BEE and make sure you don’t break more than 20 times. Yo! Max! is an easy 8✦ pattern and shouldn’t give you much trouble after KILLER BEE. You also need an average of 333,333 points per song with Manual Fever. I would use fever on Spacebar since it’s the biggest button on my keyboard and I can slap it when I need to.
Give you a USB Instead
Put one of TRILOGY track to My Favorite Songs.
You must put a song from Trilogy into your top 10 most played songs, not your Favorites tab.
You can see your top 10 most played songs in Collection, and getting a Trilogy track onto that list will get you the achievement. You can also press the Right arrow key on this screen to view the Play Info tab and see exactly how many times you’ve played each song, which could be very helpful.
Pikaboo!
Found a Hidden BGA from a TRILOGY Song. (Hidden)
The Hidden BGA is in STOP. See Section All Music Videos (BGAs) for how to unlock it.
GROOVE COASTER PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V GROOVE COASTER PACK is a Collaboration DLC Pack filled with songs from the hit iOS and arcade game of the same name. This DLC Pack will give you 10 songs for $14.99, plus a GROOVE COASTER Gear and Note Skin, 17 new plates, 3 Steam achievements, and a Groove Coaster UI Theme.
GROOVE COASTER PACK Songlist
These are the 10 songs that are included in the GROOVE COASTER PACK:
*The reason there are no visualizers is because the Music Video for each song was made from the gameplay of that specific song from Groove Coaster.
GROOVE COASTER PACK Plates
- You will be able to unlock all 17 plates by clearing songs.
ALL GROOVE COASTER PLATES
GROOVE COASTER PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all GROOVE COASTER achievements: 2-20 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all GROOVE COASTER achievements: 4/10
AD-LIB
Cleared all Groove Coaster tracks with S rank.
Just clear all Groove Coaster songs with 97% accuracy or higher. As usual, 4B will be the easiest to do this on. Warrior has easier difficulties on other button modes than 4B. Ouroboros will be the most challenging, but I would recommend coming back to this later once you’ve improved at the game.
Got more plate?
Earned all plates where Pixel DJMAX characters. (Hidden)
The three plates you need to unlock are CLEAR (PIXEL Ver.), FAIL (PIXEL Ver.), and SUI (PIXEL Ver.). To unlock them you need to clear Good Night, Bad Luck. 10 times, clear Marry me, Nightmare 10 times, and clear ouroboros -twin stroke of the end- 10 times, respectively.
Clairvoyance
Cleared “Groove Prayer” 5B HD pattern with BLIND effect. (Hidden)
You need to clear Groove Player with the Blind effect on. If you don’t know what that is, press Space in Free Style and go to the Fader option and scroll through to find Blind. The blind effect turns every note invisible. The only reason this is an achievement is because the 5B HD pattern is literally a copy of the Groove Coaster gameplay in the Music Video. Here is a video of the actual 5B HD chart with all of the notes (video credit to BROKENPASTEL):
You can play this video on a second screen like your phone and look at that while playing to make this a bit of an exploit. You can also play in Open Match and view your opponents’ patterns instead! Or if you want to do it legit, turn your gear transparency to 0% and move the gear position to the left or right to help you immensely. That will put your gear right over where the notes are. Here is a video of the pattern being performed blind (video credit to Nira Prunus):
Not every note will come down the center lane, there are some side tracks and notes that appear on lanes 1 and 5. However, you do not need to hit every single note, you just need to clear the pattern. It will definitely take a few tries but as soon as you clear it you will get the achievement.
Guilty Gear PACK Songlist and Plates
The Guilty Gear PACK was originally going to be released as a $5 Steam DLC, but was instead given to users for free in an update one week before the CLAZZIQUAI EDITION and BLACK SQUARE PACKS. The Guilty Gear PACK contains 3 songs from various games in the hit fighting series Guilty Gear. It also comes with 6 plates you can unlock just by clearing the songs, and a new Guilty Gear and Note Skin.
These are the 3 songs that are included in the Guilty Gear PACK:
ALL GUILTY GEAR PLATES
CLAZZIQUAI EDITION PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V CLAZZIQUAI EDITION PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from DJMAX CLAZZIQUAI EDITION. This DLC Pack will give you 23 songs for $19.99, plus an exclusive new Respect track, a First Kiss Gear and Note Skin, 10 new plates, 48 gallery images, 9 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a CLAZZIQUAI EDITION UI Theme.
CLAZZIQUAI EDITION PACK Songlist

Let Me Be “Clear” On These
Cleared all Clazziquai Edition songs in S Rank.
You must clear all CLAZZIQUAI EDITION songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This should be relatively easy to get. This is known as one of the easiest DLC packs the game has to offer, and DARK ENVY is the only song that is over 5✦ in difficulty, and it is only 6✦. You should get this achievement fairly easily.
Welcome to the CLUB TOUR
Cleared “Electronic City”.
Electronic City is the first tab of Clazziquai missions. You must clear all 6. The missions themselves are not too difficult, but what may trip you up is the FX patterns and the 4D modifiers. FX requires you to hit FX notes (pink bars) in 4B and 5B. If you aren’t already decent at 8B, now is the time to start practicing. 4D randomizes the speed of every lane. For 4D I would first play or watch the actual charts in the mission so you can memorize when most of the notes are coming down. That way you’ll have a better feeling of what you need to hit when it’s time to play it in 4D.
Get Down
Saw “Dana” 10 times with First Kiss Gear.
Dana has the shortest hair and has a finger in her mouth. The achievement icon is a picture of Dana. This is what she looks like with the gear (Dana is on the right):
Each girl has a 25% chance of appearing on either side of the gear (it can be 2 images of the same girl). You need to see Dana on either side 10 times. Restarting a song will not make a new image appear, so if Dana is not there you have to go back to Music Select and load the song again.
What Makes A Professional Rhythm Gamer
Cleared all patterns of a track of Clazziquai Edition with MAX COMBO.
You must clear all patterns of one song with a MAX COMBO. That means all the 4B patterns, 5B patterns, and so on. The easiest songs to do this on would be Closer or Tell Me. There are only 8 patterns in Closer, but Tell Me has overall easier patterns. If you are struggling with one of these songs, try the other.
DJMAX ARTIST TEAM
Cleared “DJMAX TOURNAMENT LIVE” Mission. (Hidden)
DJMAX TOURNAMENT LIVE is Mission {2-6}. The only requirement is that you clear all 5 songs with less than 7 BREAKS. This is easier said than done, but it could be a lot worse. The songs aren’t particularly hard, and averaging one or two BREAKS per song will get you past it. It is definitely more worthwhile for you to come back and play it once you have a feel for how to play the other button modes.
DJ Clazzi
Cleared all tracks of “Clazziquai” with MAX COMBO. (Hidden)
You don’t have to clear every song with a MAX COMBO, just the songs with CLAZZIQUAI as the artist. These are Color, Come to me, Creator, Electronics, Flea, Freedom, Love Mode, and The Night Stage. None of these will be particularly difficult to MAX COMBO, all you need to do is hit every note, not get incredible accuracy. You should do this while working your way towards “Let Me Be “Clear” On These”.
Go Back From the Top
Found a Hidden BGA from a Clazziquai Edition Song. (Hidden)
First Kiss has the hidden BGA. See Section All Music Videos (BGAs) for how to unlock it.
CE Style
Cleared Lover(CE Style) and Y(CE Style) with MAX COMBO.
Neither of these songs are particularly difficult to MAX COMBO, and they are relatively short too. You should do this while working your way towards “Let Me Be “Clear” On These”.
Metro Project
Cleared a Clazziquai Edition track in OPEN MATCH with all different patterns.
Create an Online lobby and have one other person join. Play any CLAZZIQUAI song on any pattern and have the other person go into observe mode or a different pattern than you. Clear the song, and you’ll get the achievement.
BLACK SQUARE PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V BLACK SQUARE PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from DJMAX BLACK SQUARE. This DLC Pack will give you 20 songs for $19.99, plus an exclusive new Respect track, a Fermion Gear and Note Skin, 12 new plates, 28 gallery images, 8 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a BLACK SQUARE UI Theme.
BLACK SQUARE PACK Songlist
These are the 21 songs that are included in the BLACK SQUARE PACK:
- ANALYS is an added on song that comes with the BLACK SQUARE PACK but is sorted in the Respect category.
BLACK SQUARE PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything either by clearing songs or clearing specific missions.
- All missions will be labeled as {#-#} with the first number being one of the 2 tabs in the mission select screen and the second number being one of the 6 missions in that tab.

BLACK SQUARE PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all BLACK SQUARE achievements: 6-100 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all BLACK SQUARE achievements: 8/10
Let Me Be “Fail” On These
Cleared all BLACK SQUARE songs in S Rank.
You must clear all BLACK SQUARE songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This is known as one of the harder DLC packs, and this may not come easy for you. The three hardest songs to get an S Rank on will be Beat U Down, Fermion, and Heart of Witch.
Do you want to try BLACK SQUARE?
Cleared a 100 pattern BLACK SQUARE song with MAX COMBO.
This is a very badly worded achievement. You do NOT need to get a MAX COMBO on 100 different BLACK SQUARE patterns, just clear them. This has been confirmed by corcaroli, who cleared 100 BLACK SQUARE patterns, but only got 80 MAX COMBOs. This will still be very grindy and is what you will spend most of your time doing. The second half of songs starting with “J” to “Y” are much easier than the rest of the BLACK SQUARE songs, so I would recommend those songs first. You can also combine this achievement with the achievements “Play it NOW!” and “BS Style” as you will be playing 100 patterns anyways.
I’ll go with Fermion
Cleared Fermion’s pattern with less than 20% HP gauge.
This is a very awkward achievement if you don’t know what you’re doing. Your HP gauge is subtracted every time you get a BREAK and once it hits 0 you get a game over. The general idea is that you intentionally get BREAKS on the ending of Fermion so you finish with 20% HP or less. Here is a video of me doing it to give you a good idea of what you should do:
Play the 4B Normal pattern, because it is the easiest, and intentionally BREAK on the last 12 notes of the pattern. It takes 13 BREAKS to fail a song, and you can see on the left my light-blue HP gauge finishes with 1% HP left. This will most likely require multiple tries to figure out where exactly you need to stop hitting notes.
REDESIGN?!
Cleared “RD Colosseum” Mission.
RD Colosseum is Mission {2-2}:
There are only 2 songs, and the mission requires you to reach 1,000 combo and activate up to X3 FEVER for each song. The “Redesign” means they took the keysounds for each song and remixed them, so beware of a lot of burping in Taekwonburi. It’s basically a meme mission, and is pretty simple if you can play 5B and 8B. To clear the mission, immediately start racking up combo by activating your FEVER up to X5 and keeping it there until you hit 1,000 combo. Taekwonburi is not insanely difficult and 1,000 combo should be earned in no time. After reaching 1,000 all you need to do is clear the song then. Don’t even worry about FEVER anymore.
Once you pass Taekwonburi, you’ll play Cypher Gate, a much harder 8B Redesign. Immediately get your FEVER up to X3 and then don’t even worry about it anymore. That way you clear the mission requirement and all you have to focus on left is clearing the song. Once you clear the mission you will get this achievement and the “glory day (MUCA Live Ver.)” Music Video.
The toughest difficulty in the DJMAX series
Played difficulty 15 SC patterns of BLACK SQUARE. (Hidden)
“Play” does not mean the same thing as “Clear”. Load up Cypher Gate 5B SC or any other SC pattern that is a 15✦ difficulty and you will get the achievement.
Are you sure you want a BLACK SQUARE song?
Cleared the same BLACK SQUARE pattern with MAX COMBO in OPEN MATCH.
Create a lobby in Open Match and once someone else that has the BLACK SQUARE PACK joins, choose any BLACK SQUARE song on the same pattern as them. Both players need a MAX COMBO, and you will both get the achievement.
Play it NOW!
Cleared the same BLACK SQUARE track 10 times in a row. (Hidden)
Self explanatory. I would combine this with the achievements “BS Style” and “Do you want to try BLACK SQUARE?” because you will need MAX COMBOs on different patterns anyways.
BS Style
Cleared Lover(BS Style) and Y(BS Style) with MAX COMBO.
Self explanatory. These songs are easy and pretty short, so you shouldn’t have much trouble with this. You can try to get a MAX COMBO on all of the patterns for both songs if you want to go for the achievements “Play it NOW!” or “Do you want to try BLACK SQUARE?”, but if you aren’t that good yet then don’t worry about it.
CYTUS PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V CYTUS PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from the popular Taiwanese rhythm games Cytus and Cytus II. This DLC Pack will give you 12 songs for $14.99, plus a new Cytus Gear and Note Skin, 8 new plates, 5 Steam achievements, and a CYTUS UI Theme.
CYTUS PACK Songlist
These are the 12 songs that are included in the CYTUS PACK:
- The reason there are no visualizers listed is because the developers took videos from the Cytus promotional trailers and used those as music videos for the 12 songs.
CYTUS PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything by clearing most of the songs 3 times.
ALL CYTUS PLATES
CYTUS PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all CYTUS achievements: 1-30 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all CYTUS achievements: 6/10
Million Master
Cleared 3 patterns of CYTUS tracks with PERFECT PLAY.
Easily the hardest achievement in the DLC. Getting a Perfect Play is no easy feat and what makes this more difficult is that there are only 2 patterns that are a 3✦ difficulty, L 4B Normal and Shoot out 4B Normal. You should focus on trying to Perfect these, as well as either AXION 4B Normal or Ververg 4B Normal because those are both 4✦. I would recommend AXION because it is in 4/4 time and has easier rhythms than Ververg but it’s up to you. Getting a Perfect on L will also earn you the “Aesir” achievement.
We’re going for accuracy here, so increase your speed to the fastest you can read the notes and still accurately hit them to make it easier to time. I would also recommend not to waste hours of your time specifically going for this if you’ve never gotten a perfect on ANYTHING before. You will only be met with frustration. The only tip I can really give is to play the entirety of the pattern a few times to understand the general rhythm so that you can make less mistakes in the future.
The Mastermind
Cleared Entrance with MAX COMBO.
Entrance is 7✦ on 4B Normal and 6✦ on 8B Normal. The rhythm is mostly triplets and is not exactly hard to time. Make sure you just try to hit all the notes instead of going for perfect accuracy.
Aesir
Cleared L with MAX COMBO.
L is only 3✦ on 4B Normal, and is a very easy rhythm to hit. This should be easy to MAX COMBO and you will also earn this if you get a Perfect while going for “Million Master”.
CAPSO!
Earned 5 CYTUS Plates.
There are 8 plates to unlock from Cytus. You only need to earn 5. See Section CYTUS PACK Plates for info on how to unlock them all.
Can you hear me?
Used CYTUS UI Skin.
Press F11, go down to Theme, and equip CYTUS.
DEEMO PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V DEEMO PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from the popular Taiwanese rhythm game of the same name. This DLC Pack will give you 10 songs for $14.99, plus a new DEEMO Gear and Note Skin, 10 new plates, 4 Steam achievements, and a DEEMO UI Theme.
DEEMO PACK Songlist
These are the 10 songs that are included in the DEEMO PACK:
*There reason there are no visualizers is because the developers took pictures from each song and animated them a little bit to make a Music Video.
DEEMO PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything by clearing every song 3 times.
ALL DEEMO PLATES
DEEMO PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all DEEMO achievements: 2-10 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all DEEMO achievements: 2/10
Deemo
Cleared 42 DEEMO patterns.
You need to clear 42 different patterns, not the same one over and over. You will have to play more than one button mode for this. If you are able to play other button modes, focus on clearing the Normal difficulty first, then work your way up to the harder difficulties. ANiMA and Magnolia are the 2 hardest songs, so try clearing the other 8 first.
Masked Lady
Acquired 10 DEEMO plates.
There are a total of 10 Plates in the DEEMO PACK. See Section DEEMO PACK Plates for information on how to unlock them all.
Alice
Failed to clear DEEMO track for the first time.
Start any DEEMO song and let all the notes go by. Pretty easy.
ANiMA
Cleared ANiMA with DEEMO Gear and Note.
Press Space in Free Style and make sure “DEEMO” is equipped as your Gear and Note Skin then clear ANiMA 4B Normal (it is the easiest). This shouldn’t give you too much trouble, even if it is a 6✦ difficulty.
TECHNIKA PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V TECHNIKA PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from DJMAX TECHNIKA 1. This DLC Pack will give you 20 songs for $19.99, plus an exclusive new Respect track, a SON OF SUN Gear and Note Skin, 10 new plates, 23 gallery images, 10 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a TECHNIKA 1 UI Theme.
TECHNIKA PACK Songlist
These are the 21 songs that are included in the TECHNIKA PACK:
- Do you want it is an added on song that comes with the TECHNIKA PACK but is sorted in the Respect category.
TECHNIKA PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything either by clearing songs or clearing specific missions.
- All missions will be labeled as {#-#} with the first number being one of the 2 tabs in the mission select screen and the second number being one of the 6 missions in that tab.

Gallery (1) is unlocked from 1 clear of the song.
Gallery (2) is unlocked from 3 clears of the song.
Gallery (3) is unlocked from 5 clears of the song.
Some Gallery Images have a specific mission requirement, which will be described in the Additional Notes.
The galleries are organized by the position that they appear in collection.
TECHNIKA PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all TECHNIKA achievements: 8-100 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all TECHNIKA achievements: 8/10
PLATINUM CREW
Cleared all TECHNIKA songs in S rank.
You must clear all TECHNIKA 1 songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This is known as one of the easier DLC packs, and will be pretty easy for you. The hardest songs to get an S Rank on will likely be SON OF SUN and Thor.
Rolling On the Screen
Played all the patterns you can play in Technical Mixing. (Hidden)
This is one of the hardest achievements in the game to get, and I will try my best to explain it. Technical Mixing refers to the second tab of TECHNIKA missions, so that includes all 6. If you hit F2 to go into practice mode on Mission {2-1} First Step you will notice four songs listed, with two songs listed in Stage 3. Basically, each mission in Technical Mixing has 2 TB patterns that can appear as the final song in the mission (except Mission {2-6} Conqueror which has 3).
Thankfully, these do not appear by random chance. It all depends on your combo after the second-to-last song. The top song in the final stage will always be an even combo number while the bottom song in the final stage will always be an odd combo number. Going back to that screenshot, I want You is an even combo number, while Only for you is an odd combo number.
For example, I play Dear my Lady, then move on to Honeymoon. After I hit the last note in Honeymoon, I check to see that my combo is at 500, an even number. The game will load in the TB pattern for I want You. If my combo was 499 at the end of Honeymoon, which is an odd number, I would play Only for you in Stage 3. Here is a table for which songs are odd combo numbers and even combo numbers for each mission:
The final mission has three different TB pattern choices: the normal Even/Odd, and RNG. Thor can appear randomly, regardless of your combo.
It should be noted that you do not have to actually clear the TB chart, all you need to do is wait for it to load and then you can pause and go back to Mission Select.
What makes this achievement so hard is the sheer difficulty of the final few missions. You will need to be clearing 15✦ difficulties with less than 20 BREAKS. This will probably be the last thing you earn once you become a master at the game.
Here are videos of each of these missions:
(All Video Credits to ValenBoA)
ONLY FOR ARCADE
Cleared the hidden pattern in MAX COMBO.
The “hidden pattern” is one of the TB charts in the second tab of TECHNIKA missions. The only way to get to it is first playing the mission to the final stage. See “Rolling On the Screen” for info on what TB patterns appear where, as well as videos for every mission. I would go for a MAX COMBO on one of the TB charts that show up in Mission {2-1} First Step, which are I want You or Only for you. These are very easy songs. If you are struggling to get a MAX COMBO, play the TB patterns using just the keys O, K, and M with both hands.
First Step Set Complete
Cleared all the songs in the “First Step” mission.
Self-explanatory. The mission is very easy, all you need to do is score 1,000,000 points across three songs. However, you have to play both TB patterns in the first mission. See the achievement “Rolling On the Screen” for info on how to play them both, as well as a video of the mission.
Now I see some teamwork
All players cleared TECHNIKA track with MAX COMBO in Open Match. (Hidden)
You must have a full 7-player lobby! You can either organize this with your friends or ask random people online and pick an easy song so that everyone can get a MAX COMBO on it.
Stylish eSper Shooting Sports
Watched SuperSonic’s music video in the COLLECTION mode.
You need to first get a MAX COMBO on SuperSonic (which shouldn’t be too difficult), then go into Collection, Music Videos, and scroll down to SuperSonic and watch it to the very end.
Mr.Perfect
Cleared “Mr.Perfect” mission.
Mr.Perfect is TECHNIKA Mission {1-4}. All you need to do is get a Perfect Play on Remember 4B Normal. However, as soon as you get less than 100% the mission fails. What I would recommend is going into Free Style, playing the pattern a few times learning the rhythm over and over and gradually increasing your speed so you can hit the notes more accurately. Once you start finishing the song in the 99.80% range, go ahead and try the mission. Don’t get too upset if you can’t do it right away, Perfect Plays require a lot of precision and focus and there is nothing wrong with coming back to it later.
Here is a video of the mission:
TECHNIKA PACK Achievements (continued)
You got a problem?
Acquired 5 plates for TECHNIKA.
There are 10 plates to unlock from TECHNIKA 1. You only need to earn 5. See Section TECHNIKA PACK Plates for info on how to unlock them all.
SON OF SUN
Cleared SON OF SUN in MAX COMBO with chief’s equipment. (Hidden)
Press Space in Free Style and make sure “SON OF SUN” is equipped as your Gear and Note Skin then clear SON OF SUN 4B Normal (it is the easiest). This shouldn’t give you too much trouble, even if it is a 7✦ difficulty, because the rhythms are very consistent, although fast.
Rare card anyways
Found a hidden BGA in TECHNIKA songs. (Hidden)
Thor has the hidden BGA. See Section All Music Videos (BGAs) to see how to unlock it.
TECHNIKA 2 PACK

I`ll be the POP MASTER
Cleared all TECHNIKA 2 songs in S rank.
You must clear all TECHNIKA 2 songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This is known as one of the harder DLC packs, and may be difficult for you. The hardest songs to get an S Rank on will likely be D2 and Rage Of Demon.
So you were talented in the end
Cleared “STAR MIXING”.
STAR MIXING is the entire first tab of 6 TECHNIKA 2 missions. Most of these missions are easy, however the last two missions “Dustball” and “Signature Collection” may give you some trouble if you aren’t familiar with other button modes. See “The TECHNIKA Boom is Coming” for tips on how to clear the last mission.
Here are the links to all of the missions for your reference:
(All Video Credits to ValenBoA)
CREW RACE
Used TECHNIKA 2 UI Skin.
Press F11, go down to Theme, and equip TECHNIKA 2.
DANCE OF THE DEAD
Cleared D2 twice with D2 Gear and D2 Note. (Hidden)
Press Space in Free Style and make sure “D2” is equipped as your Gear and Note Skin then clear D2 4B Normal (it is the easiest). This shouldn’t give you too much trouble, even if it is a 7✦ difficulty, because the rhythms are very consistent, although fast. Don’t forget you need to clear it twice for the achievement.
The TECHNIKA Boom is Coming
Watched a TECHNIKA 2 advertisement in Collection. (Hidden)
To get the actual advertisement Music Video, you need to clear Mission {1-6} Signature Collection:
This is a pretty difficult mission to clear. The rate should not be too much of a problem, but you will need an average of about 336,000 points per song plus a whopping 10,000 combo. Also, each lane is randomized in every song, so practicing them in Free Style or watching videos of the patterns will not be the same. If you are not an expert in every button mode by now I highly recommend waiting and coming back to this later.
As for the mission itself, focus on activating your FEVER for the first two songs to get a feel for it. Once you get to Thor ~Extended Mix~ start building your combo. The song isn’t too difficult compared to Out Law and D2 and it’s very long, so you can possibly get around 9,000 combo if you manage to get a MAX COMBO and keep your FEVER on X5 all the way through. If you still need a few hundred combo get to 10,000 as soon as you can on D2, because you can get around 2,000 before it starts getting really hard.
Once you actually clear the mission, you will unlock a Music Video titled “TECHNIKA 2 CHINA PV”. Go to Collection and watch the Music Video to the end for the achievement.
RAINBOW MAX
Cleared MAX COMBO with the new TB pattern. (Hidden)
You need a MAX COMBO on one of the TECHNIKA 2 TB patterns in Mission Mode. Start iDOL Set {2-1} and go for a MAX COMBO on Trip. Even if you’re not very good at playing TB, Trip is incredibly easy to MAX COMBO, so this shouldn’t be too much of a problem. If you managed to activate your FEVER at least 3 times you will earn “How long will you avoid using FEVER”. A video of the pattern is linked under that achievement to help you.
How long will you avoid using FEVER
Cleared the new TB Pattern activating fever 3 times. (Hidden)
You need to use your FEVER at least 3 times on one of the TECHNIKA 2 TB patterns in Mission Mode. Start iDOL Set {2-1} and play Trip. You can activate your FEVER by pressing Space after the bar in the middle fills up and tells you to activate your FEVER. All you need to do is activate it 3 times and clear the song, not get a MAX COMBO. If you do manage to get a MAX COMBO for the first time you will earn “RAINBOW MAX”.
Here is a video of the Trip TB pattern to help you:
YOU ARE INDIVIDUALISM
Recorded TOP SCORE, RATE, COMBO in Open Match with TECHNIKA 2 track.
Create a lobby in Open Match and wait for a friend or other random person to join. Select any TECHNIKA 2 song and have the other player intentionally fail for you to get the achievement.

This DLC Pack will give you 29 songs for $24.99, plus an exclusive new Respect track, an ALiCE Gear and Note Skin, 15 new plates, 39 gallery images, 8 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a TECHNIKA 3 UI Theme.
TECHNIKA 3 PACK Songlist
These are the 30 songs that are included in the TECHNIKA 3 PACK:
- ALiCE is an added on song that comes with the TECHNIKA 3 PACK but is sorted in the Respect category.
TECHNIKA 3 PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything either by clearing songs or clearing specific missions.
- All missions will be labeled as {#-#} with the first number being one of the 2 tabs in the mission select screen and the second number being one of the 6 missions in that tab.
ALL TECHNIKA 3 PLATES
TECHNIKA 3 PACK Gallery Images
All of the TECHNIKA 3 Gallery images are unlocked through clearing songs.
Gallery (1) is unlocked from 1 clear of the song.
Gallery (2) is unlocked from 3 clears of the song.
Gallery (3) is unlocked from 5 clears of the song.
Gallery (4) for Xeus has a specific amount of clears for the song, which will be described in the Additional Notes.
The galleries are organized by the position that they appear in collection.
TECHNIKA 3 PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all TECHNIKA 3 achievements: 3-10 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all TECHNIKA 3 achievements: 5/10
CREW CHALLENGE
Cleared all TECHNIKA 3 songs in S rank.
You must clear all TECHNIKA 3 songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This is known as one of the harder and longer DLC packs, and may be difficult for you. The hardest songs to get an S Rank on will likely be Bamboo on Bamboo, Emblem, and Feel Ma Beat.
1Day 1MAX
Cleared 10 patterns of TECHNIKA 3 with MAX COMBO.
There are plenty of songs you can get a MAX COMBO on. Out of the 29 songs in TECHNIKA 3 there are well over 10 that you can easily MAX COMBO on 4B Normal.
Wow! New Track!
Cleared ALiCE with MAX COMBO.
ALiCE is a 4✦ difficulty on 4B Normal. This shouldn’t give you much trouble at all.
PRETTY PIC BESIDE PRETTY PIC
Acquired 10 TECHNIKA 3 Song Images.
There are 39 Gallery Images in TECHNIKA 3. You only need to unlock 10. See Section TECHNIKA 3 PACK Gallery Images for info on how to unlock them all.
Fun Cool Sexy
Acquired 5 plates for TECHNIKA 3. (Hidden)
There are 15 Plates in TECHNIKA 3. You only need to unlock 5. See Section TECHNIKA 3 PACK Plates for info on how to unlock them all.
Visiting Hot Places
Cleared SC pattern of TECHNIKA 3 with MAX COMBO. (Hidden)
The easiest SC patterns are Fallin’ in LUV 4B SC and You & Me 4B SC. You & Me is easier in my opinion, but you do not have to stick to this. Get a feel for the pattern first, memorize how the song goes and only go for the notes and not accuracy. There are also lots of SIDE TRACKS present so be cautious of those too.
Here are two videos of both patterns if you would like to see them:
Absolutely, Do Missions
Played all missions in “POP MIXING”.
Notice how the description says “play” and not “clear”. POP MIXING is the first 6 TECHNIKA 3 missions. All you need to do is load each one and then back out to Mission Select. Do this for all 6 missions and you will get the achievement.
Sweep Up
Recorded TOP SCORE, RATE, COMBO in Open Match with TECHNIKA 3 track.
Create a lobby in Open Match and wait for a friend or other random person to join. Select any TECHNIKA 3 song and have the other player intentionally fail for you to get the achievement.
Link Disc
Estimated time to collect all LINK DISC achievements: 20-500 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all LINK DISC achievements: 9/10
Link Disc is not a purchasable DLC, yet requires multiple DLCs to unlock. Link Disc is basically just the 12 hardest missions in the game, and it comes with three songs and three achievements. How do you unlock those 3 songs? Buying DLC:
The three extended mixes are just longer versions of the existing songs already in each of those DLC PACKS. There is one achievement tied to these three songs:
Disc Defragmentation
Cleared all songs you can obtain through LINK DISC with MAX COMBO. (Hidden)
You just need to get a MAX COMBO on all 3 of the Extended Mixes. Here in the Moment will be no challenge, but the other two will be very tough for a beginner, especially Airwave. Airwave is a whopping 5 minutes long, plus it not an easy song either. SON OF SUN is the same way, but just a lot shorter. I would recommend coming back to these later anyways, because the rest of the DLC is much more fun than playing these long songs over and over again trying to get a MAX COMBO.
The other 2 Link Disc achievements are tied to the Link Disc missions:
LINK DISC
Opened LINK DISK Mission Pack. (Hidden)
I would call this the second-hardest achievement in the game by far. All you need to do is open the Mission Pack. Sounds pretty simple, right? Just go to the Link Disc mission tab and open it. Oh, wait. It’s not there. You need to clear every CLAZZIQUAI EDITION, BLACK SQUARE, and TECHNIKA 1 mission first. Yep. All 36 of them from start to finish. Just to unlock Link Disc. Make this the very last thing you do in this game, because you will need to be an absolute expert in every button mode and be able to clear every song in the game with at the bare minimum 99.00% accuracy. Once you clear all 36 of those missions, you will then see the Link Disc mission pack. Open it, and the achievement is yours. But that isn’t where the fun ends…
We’re in the endgame now
Cleared “The Others”. (Hidden)
The Others is Link Disc Mission {1-1}:
This is the hardest achievement in the game. Not because of the mission you need to pass, but because of the effort you have to put in to even get to the Link Disc mission pack. Compared to the 36 missions you had to clear to reach this far, this mission is not that difficult. All you need to do is clear the 4 songs and you will earn it. The only catch is that the judgement windows have been significantly decreased to a much more strict judgement making it more difficult to time each note. At this point, you should be able to clear this mission even with the hard judgement on.
Here is a video of the mission to help you:
Clear the last song and you will have earned the hardest achievement in the game. Congrats!
________________________________________________________________
What about the 11 other missions? Will I get something after clearing all of them? Yes, you do! Future Link Disc missions will be locked until you have cleared the previous one. That means if you are on Mission {1-3} you can only see Missions {1-1}, {1-2}, and {1-3} and nothing ahead. If you manage to beat 11 out of the brutal 12 Link Disc missions, the game will reward you with the Metro Project Plate. Sweet.
You’ve just cleared the final mission, all 6 songs complete. You start to celebrate seeing the results screen. You did it! The final and hardest mission has been completed. “Why didn’t I unlock anything though?” you may ask as you hit Enter. Because it still isn’t over. What lies ahead is SON OF SUN ~Extended Mix~ 8B SC. The true final song of the mission. All you need to do is clear it. Then, and only then will you have finally earned the PLATINUM CREW Plate. Now that’s something worth showing off to your friends.
I’m sorry I can’t give any tips about how to clear the Link Disc missions because I’m only on Mission {1-6} myself. It definitely takes lots and lots and lots of practice with playing the game on every button mode.
GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from the popular Chinese RPG game of the same name. This DLC Pack will give you 3 songs for $4.99, plus 2 new Frontline Gears and 2 Note Skins, 10 new plates, 5 Steam achievements, and a FRONTLINE UI Theme.
GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK Songlist
These are the 3 songs that are included in the GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK:
GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything by clearing every song multiple times.
ALL GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PLATES
GIRLS’ FRONTLINE PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all GIRLS’ FRONTLINE achievements: 2-4 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all GIRLS’ FRONTLINE achievements: 2/10
FRONTLINE
Cleared Frontline with MAX COMBO.
This should not give you much difficulty at all. Frontline is only a 4✦ difficulty on 4B Normal, plus the song is relatively short.
Return to Base
Saw all tactical dolls of both sides. (Hidden)
You can earn both this achievement and “SANGVIS FERRI” at the same time. These are the most confusing achievements in the game without a guide. What you need to do is see all 40 girls from the G&K Girls Gear and all 12 girls from the S.F Girls Gear.
When you use the G&K Girls Gear there will be two girls that appear on both sides of the Gear. Sometimes they will be normal-looking and sometimes they will have damaged clothes (I’m warning you now there will be slight nudity in some). These are their normal variants and damaged variants. There are 20 different girls, and all of them have a damaged variant image, making for a total of 40 images you must see.
In the S.F Girls Gear, there are no damaged variants, and there are a lot less images you have to see. When you use the S.F Girls Gear there will be two girls that appear on both sides of the Gear. They will come in pairs, and there are 6 different pairs, making for a total of 12 girls you must see.
The only way to switch what girls they are is to back out to Music Select and reload the song. You can’t restart a song to load in different girls. I would highly recommend keeping a checklist of which girls you have seen and which girls you have not to greatly reduce how much time you spend doing this. Once you are absolutely sure you have seen all of the girls’ images just clear any song with the Gear you have on and the achievement should unlock.
Here are all 40 G&K Girls’ images (all images and help taken from this website![gall.dcinside.com]):

CHUNITHM PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V CHUNITHM PACK is a DLC Pack filled with songs from the popular Japanese arcade rhythm game of the same name. This DLC Pack will give you 6 songs for $9.99, plus a CHUNITHM Gear and Note Skin, 7 new plates, 5 Steam achievements, and a CHUNITHM UI Theme.
CHUNITHM PACK Songlist
These are the 6 songs that are included in the CHUNITHM PACK:
*Songs that don’t have visualizers already had Music Videos from Chunithm, and songs that were visualized by the DJMAX Team either animated a still picture or created their own DJMAX Music Video like in Trrricksters!!
CHUNITHM PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything by clearing every song 3 times.
ALL CHUNITHM PLATES
CHUNITHM PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all CHUNITHM achievements: 1-35 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all CHUNITHM achievements: 7/10
CHUNITHM QUEST
Cleared all CHUNITHM tracks with MAX COMBO.
Most of the CHUNITHM tracks are pretty difficult. The one you will struggle getting a MAX COMBO on the most is Ikazuchi. If you can play 6B well the 6B Normal is only 6✦ compared to 8✦ on 4B.
WORLD`S END
Played CHUNITHM tracks 15 difficulty pattern.
“Play” does not mean the same thing as “Clear”. Load up Garakuta Doll Play 4B SC or any other pattern that is a 15✦ difficulty and you will get the achievement.
Skill Activated
Played CHUNITHM tracks earned 15,000 additional score with FEVER. (Hidden)
You’re gonna need some insane accuracy for this. FEVER is a score multiplier that gives you extra points when activated. 200 points are awarded for X2, 300 points for X3 and so on. What you need to do is get 15,000 extra points from FEVER activations. The more accurate you are, the more the FEVER bar will go up. The easiest songs to do this on is Ray Tuning 6B Hard. You also want to get a MAX COMBO here to make sure you get all the points you need. A video of the pattern is linked under the “Over Power” achievement below this one. I managed to get a Perfect Play with a score of 365,400. There is some leeway but not very much. This should also earn you the “Over Power” achievement if you get a MAX COMBO with good accuracy.
Over Power
Cleared CHUNITHM track with over 9,000 COMBO. (Hidden)
You need to earn 9,000 total combo on one CHUNITHM song. The easiest one to do this on would be Ray Tuning 6B Hard. I managed to get a Perfect Play with a combo of 9,029. Once you get to X5 FEVER focus more on hitting the notes because accuracy will not matter nearly as much.
Here is a video of the pattern to help you:
(Video Credit to Ez)
Chuni Penguin
Equipped CHUNITHM Plate.
To unlock the plate you first need to clear Ikazuchi once. Then, go to F11, Plate, then equip the Chuni Penguin Plate which is the penguin in front of a yellow background.

Gears and 1 Note Skin, 25 new plates, 21 gallery images, 8 Steam achievements, 12 missions, and a PORTABLE 3 UI Theme.
PORTABLE 3 PACK Songlist
These are the 22 songs that are included in the PORTABLE 3 PACK:
- The 2 glory day remixes are added on songs that come with the PORTABLE 3 PACK but are sorted in the Respect category.
PORTABLE 3 PACK Plates
- You will unlock everything either by clearing songs or clearing specific missions.

PORTABLE 3 PACK Achievements
Estimated time to collect all PORTABLE 3 achievements: 3-50 hours
Estimated difficulty to collect all PORTABLE 3 achievements: 7/10
MADE BY MUSICIANS
Cleared all PORTABLE 3 Tracks with S Rank.
You must clear all PORTABLE 3 songs with 97% accuracy or higher. This does not include the glory day remixes! This is one of the easier DLC packs, and will be pretty easy for you. The hardest songs to get an S Rank on will likely be Enemy Storm ~Dark Jungle Mix~ and Gone Astray.
REmixVOLUTION
Cleared all REMIX PORTABLE 3 Tracks.
This has a misleading description. You do not need to clear any missions at all for this. It is asking you to clear every song that is a remix of another DJMAX song.
These songs are:
If you just clear every song once, which you have to do anyways, you should get this.
Now or never
Cleared PORTABLE 3 track with MAX COMBO wearing PORTABLE 3 Gear.
You need to use x3 FEVER 270 times in order to actually unlock the Gear first. Press Space in Free Style and make sure “PORTABLE 3” is equipped as your Gear once you have it. Then choose Season (Warm Mix) 4B Normal because it is ridiculously easy and get a MAX COMBO.
Put Your Hanz Up!
Watched Hanz up! Making Video.
Clear PORTABLE 3 Mission {2-2}, “Put your hands up”. You will unlock a Music Video titled “Making of Hanz up!”. Watch it in Collection from start to finish.
Here is a video of the mission if you need help:
REMIX SYSTEM
Cleared new REMIX System Mode with MAX COMBO.
The “new REMIX System Mode” are the new RS charts in Mission Mode. You need to get a MAX COMBO on any of the RS charts. This is not easy to do! You need to be relatively familiar with 6B to have a chance of getting this achievement, as well of a little bit of practice using the Remix controls.
To switch to the remix lanes you need to hold Left Stick or Right Stick left or right. The red notes that appear in those lanes are hit just by moving the stick, like in the video. Notes on both remix lanes can be hit with square, triangle, and circle. To switch to the remix lanes on keyboard you need to hold your SIDE TRACK button input, which is default to Left Shift and Right Shift.
The easiest RS song to MAX COMBO is Become Myself. There aren’t too many remix buttons, and when there are remix buttons they are simple patterns compared to any other chart. Here is a video of me getting a MAX COMBO on Become Myself, including my button inputs:
It takes time to get used to this type of gameplay unless you are already familiar with Portable 3. You can hit F2 on the Mission Select screen to practice a specific song. Getting a Max Combo in practice mode will still count for the achievement! You should practice this song over and over to make progress on getting this achievement.
Make a comeback
Cleared Rewind Mission.
You need to play 3 RS songs and earn 1,000,000 points. This is easier said than done. Just because it is the first mission does not mean it is the easiest. You have to be already familiar with 6B as well as the RS controls. I failed this the first time I played it, even though I play 6B a lot.
If you are playing on controller, bind your FEVER buttons to the triggers or bumpers to make this a lot easier. You will need to be using FEVER a lot for the score requirement, so having that on separate fingers will make it more easy to hit.
Here is a video if you need help:
If you still aren’t able to clear it, just keep practicing RS mode, because the only way to get better at multitasking like that is to just keep trying.
Rollin’ Rollin
Earned 10 Portable 3 Images.
There are 21 Gallery Images in Portable 3. You only need to unlock 10. See Section PORTABLE 3 Gallery Images for info on how to unlock them all.
Among us
Recorded over 30,000 COMBO in a PORTABLE 3 track with other Open Match users.
The description for this achievement means you and other people in Open Match need to finish a PORTABLE 3 song with a combined 30,000 combo. NB Ranger : Nonstop Remix gives around 5,000 combo for a MAX COMBO on 4B Normal. 6 players can get a MAX COMBO and all earn the achievement. To make this even easier, you can have a full lobby of 7 players and play this song so if someone messes up, the other players can recover for them.
ESTIMATE PACK
The DJMAX RESPECT V ESTIMATE PACK is a DLC Pack featuring songs from the popular DJMAX composer ESTi. This DLC Pack will give you 5 songs for $9.99, plus a new Obelisque Gear and Note Skin, 10 new plates, 20 gallery images, 5 Steam achievements, and an ESTIMATE UI Theme.

Closing
I started making this guide and have been continuously editing it for a month. Even though it sounds like a very long time to write a guide it’s a guide for a game I love and I’d like to share my information with the rest of the community. I will try to update this guide anytime there is an update with new cosmetics or plates added! Please be patient, though, because I won’t always know how long it will take to get all that information ready to put in the guide. Also, I used the sources below a LOT! Big shoutouts to them, they were extremely helpful in writing this guide.

Edited Inventory info because we now have new Emoticons and stuff, and separated Online Mode into 2 different sections. I’m pretty certain this is the entirety of the base game, so I edited and cleaned up some broken tables and writing. From here on I will be working on DLC.

Added Emotional Sense PACK info and unlocks.

Added intro, information about different modes, all unlocks, base game achievement info, and sources. I left some glossary terms open in case I have new terms I want to fill in later. I also left the online mode empty because Ladder Mode is about to hit Season 1 so I will wait for that first.
