Overview
A guide for Storm/Necro/Lock build for the mage. Its updated for 3.0 content. As of right now, its highest ST dps even if you are a fresh Level 65.

Ok, so I’m going to try to post this so everyone can see the build.
Your 3 souls are Necromancer, Stormcaller, and Warlock.
This is what it should look like.

Abilities/Ability Bar
Now for abilities.
Buffs. You only have one
Here is a preview of what My ability bar looks like. (with added abilities that are usefull.
You have a pre-pull macro, Storm Locus, Essence Link and Living storm as your Starting rotation.
Then you have Exsume, Summon Shadow Revenant, Desummon Pet, Mana regen, and Arcane Manipulation.
Dark Touch, Raging Storm, Soul Stream (which heals your pet), Break free. (2nd Spam macro is for my mouse button pressing.)
Spam Macro, Plague Bolt Macro, An AOE Pull, AOE Knockback, a Run buff/CC breaker, Ascended Rez, and Bhami Run buff.
This is honestly all you need.

Rotation/Tips
Use the prepull macro just before the tank rushes in.
Cast your 3 Starting Dots. (Storm Locus, Essence Link, Living Storm)
Then you tap your spam macro till you cast Icicle, which then you will cast Raging Storm, and press your Spam macro till you cast Icicle again. From there I cast dark touch, press the spam macro till I get a free cast of Plague Bolt, which I will cast just after casting Icicle or Forked Lightning. Storm Locus/Essence Link will stay active on the enemy for 1 Minute so you don’t have to interrupt your casting to often. (Which is a DPS loss, that Storm/Lock used to have issues with)
Keep in mind that about 40% of your DPS comes from your Shadow Revenant’s Abilities. Even more so if you are doing AOE. So, always have your pet out, its agro on Guard and all 4 of its abilities on Active (it will be a rotating highlight on the ability if its active, just right click if its not.)
If you wish to cast Storm Locus before a tank pulls as part of a pre pull you can, however know that your Pet if on Guard will start attacking the mob you cast it on. So you would have to put your pet on Passive till your tank pulls. It IS a slight DPS loss having to put the 3 dots down then switch tank pet to Guard or having to use the spam macro that has petattack in it.
