A thorough Gide to absolutely everything you need to know about the map, Night Of The Living Dead (NOTLD).

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my No more room in hell survival guide on Night Of The Living Dead (NOTLD). I plan on creating a guide on every survival map in NMRIH if this one is well recived. I created this guide (and possibly others in the future) because i feel that there are plenty of guides on techniques, general survival or even a few about maps. But even if there is a guide about a map it only goes into breif detail (like how to unlock a certian door). I bacically wanted to compile all info about one map in one easy, accesable package. With that said lets get into the map!

This map, (NOTLD), centers around (for the most part) a carbon copy of the farm house from George Romero’s 1968 classic, Night of the living dead.

This is by far the easiest and most played survival map in NMRIH. Even though this is one of the most played maps i feel like there is a lot about the map people dont know about (includeing myself). With these factors combined i figured this would be the perfect map to start with!

Locations

Starting with the front of the house the first room you enter is the living room.

Going forward and a little to the left brings you to the basement stairs.

If you go left of the living room we have the fireplace room.

Going forward we have the upstairs.

Up next we have the winchester room (Named after the winchester located here).

Then afterwards we have the kitchen.

Going up the stairs the first room you will see is the bathroom.

Left of the bathroom is the safe room.

And to the right of the bathroom is tv room.

Turning right and walking down the hall paralell to the stairs we have the ammo nest.

And to the right we have sniper’s nest.

Going through the door that leads outside in the kichen on the right we have the shed.

And to the left we have the barn.

Running forward through the cornfeild and going right until you hit a fence gets you to cache.

I will be reffering to these named locations to describe where items are.

Points and Point management

The only point is point A which is the whole house and the fema bags are located at cache.

Guns and Ammo

Starting off in the living room there is a Ruger Riffle with some ammo.

In the fireplace room there is a double barreled shotgun mounted above the firplace along with some shotgun shells.

In the winchester room there is, of course a winchester mounted on the wall, some shotgun shells next to the bust on the shelf, and a box of magnum ammo in the cabnet.

In the safe room you will find an Assault Rifle, a M1911, and a Bretta on the ground.

In the tv room you will find two Bretta’s each with a box of ammo nearby.

In the sniper’s nest you will find, of course, a sniper with a bunch of ammo.

And in the ammo nest you will find even more ammo and some molotovs on a metal shelf, and some secret 9mm ammo in a cabnet (Open it as if you would any other door)

And In the barn, on a box, there is a M1911.

Lastly, if you are determend enough to look, you can find a few ammo boxes on the ground in the cornfeild. Keep in mind there are others you can find not pictured, these just serve as examples.

Melee and Boards/Hammers

In the basement there is an assortment of melee weapons on a tool table.

By the red key there is a bat.

There is a Knife in the bathroom sink.

There is a bat by the tv in the tv room.

A bat can be found on the table in the fireplace room.

Knife on the kitchen table along with a hammer.

Shovel and hammer in the left room of the kitchen.

Crowbar on the side of the barn.

Shovel on the dirt truck in the barn.

Boards and pills on the table in the barn.

Bat on the chair in the safe room.

Boards and a hammer in the basement.

Boards under the stairs.

Boards at the front door.

Boards by the window in the living room.

Two boards in the fireplace room.

Some boards in winchester

Some boards by the health box in the kitchen.

Four boards by the sink in the kitchen.

A lone hamer in sinper’s nest.

A few boards in the uptstairs hall.

And finally a board in the safe room.

Health

Your main health source is going to be the bathroom. There is a cabnet choc full of meds, and a row of bandages along with a knife at the sink.

The next best place for meds is the kitchen. Here you will find two pills and two bandages on the trap sink.

there are also a few pill locations throught the map includeing by the red key, In the barn, in the tv room, and by the bust in the safe room.

Lastly there is a chance that a medi crate will spawn in the barn. The other possible crate spawn is in the shed. It is guarenteed that a crate will spawn in the cache gate. and the two crate drop off areas are in the kitchen and at the top of the stairs.

Traps

There are two traps on this map. One is located in the kitchen above the sink. This trap will electrocute the two fences at the two enterences to the house. This trap can only be used once

The other trap is located in the basement. If used it will spit fire out at the stairs like a flamethrower. This trap can be used as far as i can tell infinitely.

Also as a side note, i dont think the devs intended the flame trap to be infinite use. During testing i found the propane tanks would fall of when spent. But more would randomly spawn on the back without me having to do anything. I also found other propane tanks around the map that i belive were intended to be used. Let me know in the comments if you have expirienced this bug or if it is just me.

Supply Caches

The first supply cache is located in the safe room and is of course the safe. The safe’s code is 1968 (Hint: I used the code somewhere in this guide. just so you know the code is not referenced anywhere on the map). Once opened you will be greeted to some explosives, anywhere from 1 to 3 boxes of magnum ammo, and a revolver!

The seccond supply cache is located at, well, cache. To open the gate you need to find either a blowtourch or a key with a blue glowstick on it. The key can spawn in many locations. The loot in this area can randomize Completely. I’ve seen fire extinguishers, blowtourches, even mac 10’s. The only guarenteed thing in there is the medical crate.

The last cache is in the shed. To open it you need a blowtourch. There are a few spawn points for blowtourches i have found on the map. One is in the tv room. One is in the cache gate. And one is in the barn. Inside the shed there are plenty of boards, feul, shotgun shells, and a chainsaw. A medical crate also has a chance to spawn here.

Also, this isnt really a “cache” per say, but you can find a red key to unlock a feul tank to the side of the barn. Im not sure what purpose it has if any. So if you guys know, please, tell me in the comments.

Other Secrets

You can destroy part of the map and create an aditional doorway into the basement and a tunnel from winchester to the basement stairwell.

I want to thank every last one of you for reading my guide. I hope this guide can sort of bring some life into this comunity, and teach everyone, old and new some helpfull tricks to use on this map.
