How to activate the DLC.

Overview

This guide is to help anyone who has bought or is thinking of buying the map pack dlcs, only to find that they can’t verify the dlc due to Games for Windows – Live being dead.

Activating the Overdrive Map Pack.

1. Find the folder “C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonSection 8 Prejudices9gameCookedPCFinalDLCDLC2” on your computer.
2. Search for the “DLC2__S9Game.ini” file.
3. Open the ini file in wordpad or notepad or what ever text editor you have.
4. Find every instance of the line “RequiredDLCId=3” and delete that line of code.
5. Save the file and launch the game.
6. The maps should now be usable in games, enjoy your new maps.

Activating the Frontier Colonies Map Pack.

1. Find the folder “C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonSection 8 Prejudices9gameCookedPCFinalDLCDLC3” on your computer.
2. Search for the “DLC3__S9Game.ini” file.
3. Open the ini file in wordpad or notepad or what ever text editor you have.
4. Find every instance of the line “RequiredDLCId=4” and delete that line of code.
5. Save the file and launch the game.
6. The maps should now be usable in games, enjoy your new maps.

If the Maps Still Aren’t Showing Up.

1. Find the folder “C:UsersDocumentsMy GamesSection 8 Prejudice – PCS9GameConfig” on your computer.
2. Search for the “S9Game.ini” file.
3. Open the ini file in wordpad or notepad or what ever text editor you have.
4. Find every instance of the line “RequiredDLCId=3” and “RequiredDLCId=4” and delete that line of code.
5. Save the file and launch the game.
6. The maps should now be usable in games, enjoy your new maps.
