Overview
I guess this’ll be my final update with this, this time it’ll have a DS4 fix
What you need
DS4 Windows for PS4 controllers

Controller Fix for DS4
For PS4 controller
1. open DS4 windows
2. when open and the app recognizes your PS4 (use a game to try it out) select Profiles
3. click on “New”
4. Profile name: DMC 3
5. only modify:
Cross: K
Circle: L
Triangle: J
Square: I
Options: Escape
Share: M
Up: 1
Down: 3
Left: 2
Right: 4
L1: N
R1: Numberpad 1
L2: Q
R2: E
L3: O (letter)
R3: P
LS UP: Right Y-Axis –
LS Down: Right Y-Axis +
LS Left: Right X-Axis –
LS Right: Right X-Axis +
RS Up: Left Y-Axis –
RS Down: Left Y-Axis +
RS Left: Left X-Axis –
RS Right: Left X-Axis +
7. return to Controllers tab
8. on the drop down menu (selected profile) click on DMC 3 only when you’re about to play it
9. some things will be different
Accept- Cross
Back- Triangle
make sure to also rebind your keys to what suites you best
use Sky’s guide for to make DS3 work (uses xpadder)

Widescreen Fix [UPDATED]
so the old fix doesn’t work

click on the blue link that says “Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition.7z”
once its done downloading, replace the .exe from the games directory with whats provided
MUST be your native resolution or else it’ll be stretched out and look very ugly
DO NOT configure the resolution ingame as it’ll revert back
Alternatively you can modify the .ini file (DMC3SE.ini) for resolution but it sometimes does not work (for me it didn’t work at least)

all you have to do is extract it to Data2 folder and your done, make sure to make a backup just incase it messes up the file
(haven’t used this mod since i know the controls by memory but some icons won’t be the same button)

You WILL experience slow downs, regardless of your PC (i have a 980 and a 4790k)
this is caused by the songs during some boss battles
Remove or move the files that have names that start with battle , boss, stage , t_boss for the framerate issue to disappear, but at the loss of the soundtrack in battle.
and before you say “♥♥♥♥ crapcom for doing this port”, it’s actually ubisoft who did this port and the infamous RE4 port.
