Overview
This is a point-based challenge for The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth. If certain criteria is met, the player will earn or lose points. Obviously, the player with the most points wins. This challenge can be played with any number of players, but no baby players! Once you die, you can’t earn more points.
Starting the challenge
Okay, first let’s go through characters, difficulty ect.
- -10 points if you play on Normal (wuss)
- -10 points if you pick Eden
- -5 points if you pick Azazel or Lazarus
- +5 points if you pick Isaac (if he doesn’t start with the D6)
- +20 points if you pick The Keeper
- +5 points if the screen that flashes before starting is Guppy-related. (For those who don’t know, Guppy is Isaac’s cat.)
Items
Now, onto item related points.
- +5 points if you don’t take an item from the free item room
- +5 points if you don’t take the boss-drop item
- +10 points if you make a devil deal
- +5 points if you complete a set
- +10 points if that set is Guppy
- -5 points if that set is Yes, Mother?
- +5 points if you get Mom’s Knife
- +5 points if you find a baby
- +5 points if the baby is Mongo Baby
- +5 points if you find an item by killing a sin/horseman
- +10 points if you find an item in a hidden room
- +5 points if you complete Meat Boy (Cube of Meat) or Bandage Girl (Ball of Bandages)
- +15 points if you have a Cube of Meat and Ball of Bandages
- -5 points if you get Bad Trip/Gas from a pill
- -5 points if you don’t find a pill in the room you’re on
- +5 points if you find a soul heart
- +10 points if you find a sin heart
- +15 points if you find an eternal heart
- +5 points if you find an item referencing another game
Rooms
Yup, like the subtitle says, we’re looking at rooms now.
- +5 points if you get an angel/devil room
- +5 points if the devil room has an enemy
- +10 points if you find a sacrifice room
- +10 points if you find a hidden room
- -5 points if you tried to find the hidden room
Timing
The time you take matters in this challenge!
- +10 points if you finish a floor in less than 2 minutes
- +5 points if you kill a normal boss in less than a minute
- +10 points if you kill Mom before you’ve played the run for 15 minutes
- +15 points if you beat Mom’s Heart or It Lives! before you’ve played the run for 30 minutes
- +30 points if you beat the run in less than 45 minutes
Bosses
Time to get BEEFY!
- +5 points if you kill a boss with more than 500 HP
- +10 points if you get an item related to the last boss you killed (e.g. If you killed Monstro last floor, and find Monstro’s Tooth this floor, you get +10 points)
- +5 points if you find and kill a posthumous version of a boss you already fought in the run
- +5 points if that boss is Monstro II
- +30 points if you beat Hush
- +10 points if you have more than half your maximum health when you beat Hush
- +15 points if you kill Satan/Mega Satan
- +10 points if you kill Isaac (the boss, not the character)
- +25 points if you kill ??? (the boss, not the character)
