Chicken Invaders 4 Guide

A proper guide to chicken invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette for Chicken Invaders 4

A proper guide to chicken invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette

Overview

A simple guide on steam because this game lacks a good steam guide

Beginning (Controls and HUD)

Might wanna start on the easiest difficulty, but you can start on any difficulty (excluding the higher one which is locked till you unlock it in the unlockable menu) too I guess

Here’s your controls:

Keyboard Controls:

Arrow keys – Move
Space bar – Shoot
M – Secondary Weapons
Enter – Missile

Mouse Controls:

Move Mouse – Move (at literally any speed, might take a while to get used to, but you’ll be much faster than with Keyboard controls)
Left Mouse Button – Shoot
Right Mouse Button – Secondary Weapons
Middle Mouse – Missile

If you use both controls at the same time you’ll find your ship teleporting across time and space and not responding to inputs at times, so please only use one at a time.

How to read the HUD:

1 You: Get hit and you lose a life, try and keep your ship safe

2 Lives: Increases by 1 every 1,000,000 points

3 Missiles: Funny rocket go boom

4 Power Level: Pick up those funny neuron looking things to Increase, get it to the highest level for amazing and mind blowing results, you lose 3 power levels when losing a life.

5 Food: If food reaches 100 gain 1 Missile, enemies drop food regularly, so don’t worry.

6 Score and Heat meter: If score reaches 1 Million you’ll hear a cool jingle and get an extra life, if your heat meter reaches max you go in overheat and are unable to shoot for a short period of time, so don’t shoot too much, you’ll hear a sound play as a warning when your heat goes too high.

7 Boss Health: goes up instead of down, if it reaches 100% Boss goes boom, it’s that simple

that covers the basics, get playing!

Weapons and Satellites

In Chicken Invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette, you need powerful weapons, as you saw in the HUD section of this Guide, you power level can increase, and your weapon can change.

(every weapon gains damage when your power level increases or when you grab the weapon you’re already wielding)

Basic Weapons:

Ion Blaster (Get from a red gift box, increases projectiles and speed in higher power levels, poor speed at first, good spread when leveling)

Neutron Gun (Get from a green gift box, Increases projectiles and speed in higher power levels, however it doesn’t spread like Ion Blaster, decent power, little range)

Laser Cannon (Get from an orange gift box, Increase width over power levels, strong but slow)

Vulcan Chaingun (Unlockable with Keys, gotten from a dark blue gift, functions similar to the standard weapon but stronger and cooler because its blue and blue is objectively much cooler then yellow)

Lightning Fryer (bzaaaaapppppppppp, gotten from very light blue gifts, my personal favorite because it looks cool and is good at high power levels, all weapons are good at high power levels tho…)

Plasma Rifle (Lightning Fryer but purple, and only one beam instead of two, easily confused with Positron Stream, you might need to unlock it with keys, purple box)

Utensil Poker ( fork :), grey box )

Boron Railgun (Standard Weapon, ew, yellow even.. *pukes*)

Photon Swarm (is weak at first, gets pretty good later, pretty mid, blue gifts)

Positron Stream (Like the plasma rifle but worse????, pink box)

Pick these up to increase your power level:

Satellites:

they all have a way of indicating their remaining ammo, you get them from floating vaults in space.
these things are strong and epic.

Microgun: what is it with people calling big weapons small? Bullet string indicates ammo.
Takes a while to start up but releases some serious firepower, the bullets are small so usage on bigger targets is recommend.

Barbequer: It’s a flamethrower, limited range, has a start up time like the Microgun, but it has the ability to destroy projectiles and it’s very good up close. The little meter on the side of it indicates its remaining ammo.

Bird-flu gun: Shoots goop, very epic, you can see inside it for remaining ammo, projectiles are slow and it has a bad rate of fire, damage is nice tho, has about 15-ish shots.

ICBM: Kaboom :D, slow but amazing, works like normal missile and deletes everything including projectiles, only 3 ammo 🙁

Special Secret Weapon:
Mines: Replacement for missile, goes kaboom but harder, requires lots of keys to unlock, disables certain achievements/rewards

Keys, Collectibles and Achievements

Keys are the main, and only ‘real’ collectible in the game.
If an enemy glows yellow it means they hold a key, destroy them, pick it up and you got a key…
What does a key do???

1 It can change the colour of your ship a little
2 it can give you some spicy new stuff… wont tell much yet…

^thats where you find the shop menu!!^
And use your keys 😀

Achievements:

Pretty straightforward, they’re explained on the achievement page themselves, here are some tips for them:

Medal of Annihilation.
Awarded for performing a multikill of 30 or more enemies.

Tip: Git Gud, or just use very strong weapons, but for real, this achievement you get by just playing the game enough and getting better over time, no real need for a tip or something here.

Medal of Great Appetite Achievement.
Awarded for 90% food collection in a single wave.

Tip: Chase falling foods, use mouse controls for fastest food collection.

Chicken Hunter Medal of Excellence.
Awarded for 90% kill ratio in a single star system.

Tip: Missiles 🙂

Recognition Medal of Self-Restraint.
Awarded for not using any missiles in a single star system.

Tip: No Missiles 🙁

Hard-Boiled Certificate of Merit.
Awarded for no deaths in a single star system.

Tip: Missiles 🙂 and also gotten overtime as you replay the game.

Distinguished Green Greed Cross.
Awarded for 90% coin collection in a single wave.

Tip: Same as Medal of Great Appetite Achievement.

Meritorious Marksmanship Award.
Awarded for 90% shot accuracy in a single wave.

Tip: use more precise weapons and single click firing rather than continuous firing.

Conspicuous “No Help” Commendation.
Awarded for not using satellites in a single star system.

Tip: Satellites are your secondary weapons, don’t use them for a single star system, there’s also a single star system that doesn’t give you a satellite until you beat the boss, that’s how I got it.

Rookie Hero Campaign Trophy.
Awarded for completing a mission on the rookie difficulty level.

Tip: beat game

Veteran Chicken Hunter Campaign Trophy.
Awarded for completing a mission on the veteran difficulty level.

Tip: beat game but harder

Superior Budget Thriftiness Commendation Medal
Awarded for completing an entire mission without using any missiles

Tip: Learn restraint, I understand its hard to play without funny boom for the entire game. 🙁

Outstanding “One Man Army” Medal.
Awarded for completing an entire mission without using satellites.

Tip: cry, cry and cry, can’t have anything in this game anymore.

Honourable “Either Brave or Stupid” Achievement Award.
Awarded for not using any power-ups in a single star system.

Tip: avoid funny neuron balls.

“I Eat Chickens for Breakfast” Campaign Trophy.
Awarded for completing a mission on the superstar hero difficulty level.

Tip: stock up on satellites and one weapon of choice, build that weapon and try to never lose a life to make sure you reach max power, buying a certain weapon with keys is advised here (Utensil Poker), you can also use keys to unlock extra docks and hold up to 6 satellites (Holy whack!), comes at a price tho.

Greatest Chicken Hunter of All Time Award.
Awarded for completing an entire mission without dying once.

Tip: Play on Rookie, and use the tips for the achievement above.

Thank you!!

Thanks for reading, first steam guide I ever made, played this game when I was a little kid, still love it after getting it again in modern day, here’s a link to the fandom page where I got some information from: [link]

Again, thank you so much for reading, I don’t know why I really made this guide? but thanks for reading.

if you were wondering, both screenshots were mine, and the picture of the powerup I got from the fandom page, most weapon and weakness info I also got from there, other info/random extra stuff typed is most likely from what I found.
