Overview
In this guide I cover nodes, equipment, and structures you can build as an engineer. I will also show examples in the footage and where are the best used.

In case you don’t want to watch the video, here is the text used in it. But I highly recommend watching it, because it has critical images and footage related to this guide.
I made this video because many people are afraid of complex classes but engineer it is not complex at all, and here is why you should try it too
I will also address some stuff that other content creators or guides miss, the important secrets and tips that are very critical in the game and many people don’t know or bother with them
This is the agenda I will be talking about
1. Short Description
I think it’s the most fun class in the game because you have the ability to literally change the gameplay in some perspective, provide resources to your team and you also have some nice aces in your loadout which I will talk about in a second. Remember a team without engineers is a team that has lost the game.
Loadout US GER
In the United States your main weapon is m1 carbine semi-automatic weapon which has 15 bullets in the magazine, that’s 7 more bullets than a m1 garand.
This is a reason why you need to pick this class instead of rifleman
Then you have a bandage
Then you carry a vehicle mine, I will show you now how to place it and here is and a very very important tip:
USE THE RANGE to plant the mine, let’s say there is a tank coming this way
I will hide behind this destroyed half track and just look at this amazing range that i’m able place it
the tank wouldn’t know what would happen if he did not see me. Note that you can place it also in enemy territory for some sneaky tactics
Next up is anti personnel mine a very important explosive that usually you place it on choke points, like in doorways, behind sandbags where people usually jump over,
Also trenches this is very important, look by placing this here will have my back covered,
It is also good to protect the nodes or garrison or any other structure built by a player. You can place it in enemy territory too
And the wrench which is the tool to build structures which i will present on the next section
On the german side you have the k98 it has only 5 bullets and a slow loading speed, they should receive a gewehr to match the m1 carbine, but let’s hope we will get in the future. Rest of the loadout it’s the same as US
Fortifications
A very important power of engineers that almost no content creator talked about: is building fortifications, they can change the game and I will show you how to place them and where they are best used.
These structures consume supplies so be aware of that.
In this picture i will show you what each number means
-The maximum amount of this type you can build
– the cost of supplies, this number of supplies must be in your area! Very important!
Best locations where to place them are in small strongpoints for example jacob’s barn on hurtgen forest map (vid)
First up its the large barbed wire which is like 2 small barbed wire that you place at the same time, used on large gaps
-barbed wire will force enemy to jump over, where he will be completely exposed, unable to dodge, shoot or heal while he is doing the jump animation (snow vid)
-you can place anti personnel mine behind the barbed wire where it will be hard to be seen, the enemy will trigger the mine after jumping over it
Second type of fortification is small barbed wire which acts like the large one but smaller, place it in tight places
-Next one is the belgian gate,which is maybe the best structure you can place in the game at this moment because you can block roads against tanks, you can block bridges and pathways used in carentan and they can also provide some cover
-You can shoot through it, it will block some enemy shots, you can even go over and use it as a sniping nest. Be careful it can be also be used against you once the enemy captured it
Next one is the sandbags, it has no bullet penetration, you can set up an mg on it which is very important for your team, you can also prone behind it and use a kar98. Again a nice combo with anti personnel mines behind it.
Next up is the repair station. Guys please build at least a repair station on the battlefield they are super important for your tank support. This structure I think repairs the tank faster than you and will always be available for the tanks, you don’t have to waste your time running after tanks and repairing them, they can go at the station any time and repair. If they got the tracks destroyed you can repair it for a bit so they can run to the closest station.
Next up is the hedgehog you know from the omaha beach,it’s very good at blocking roads.
It can provide some cover, dont expect too much, one or two will be enough on the road for blocking
Remember most of the times a tank needs to move on the road else it will be stuck into something.

Nodes & Resources
First node will produce fuel,
you need fuel to have tanks available to your team, the tank is the most important war machine, if the enemy has tank support and you don’t, you have lost! I’ve seen it many times, believe me.
The range of fuel cost per tank is between 50 and 100,the armored car is 30 if im not wrong
Second node is manpower -this one will produce manpower
-this resource is very vital at the start of the game, when the team reaches 0 manpower it will be hard to produce and maintain manpower because when a person dies, the team will lose an amount of manpower.
-Commander has very important abilities that can use this type resource to spawn a garrison behind enemy lines name airhead which can be used for an short but critical amount of time, which can send the enemy back to HQ if used right

So place this node as soon as possible in the game so you can maintain this resources as long as possible,
Third node – ammunition node – this will produce ammo for artillery, anti tank gun, these weapons consume a lot of ammunition, also almost all common commander abilities will drain this resource, for example bomb run strafing run and other
Secrets and Strategies
1.Build nodes! No matter if you understand them, or what they do because this won’t be important for you as an engineer, but your team needs nodes in order to win else it will be 99% lost! I will show you a picture with resource details, press M for map or open the tab
2.your team can build 2 nodes of each type, correct me if im wrong, i will show you the best way to optimize nodes in the video about nodes & resource optimization which you will find it in the description when its done, subscribe the get notified
3.where you the place nodes, plant also the 2 anti personnel mines around to protect them
4. Try to place the nodes in enemy territory! The farther you go from HQ the more bonus you get. Also another thing other guides don’t tell you, if you want to place the nodes in enemy territory, you can place them only in the sectors where the strongpoint is unlocked and locked.
-So you don’t have to run to enemy HQ and try to place nodes there because it wont work. As you can see here i’m in locked territory, I cannot place the node ! (video)
5. at the start of the round go with a supplier and build nodes or ask the commander to drop supplies where you want
– I’m pretty sure he will help you because it’s a win win situation, you build nodes, you get points, the commander uses abilities, the team wins. Try to build them on opposite of the middle strongpoint on the map
-I hear that engineer will get a rework in the future so things might change
