A list and description of each monster card and where to find them.

Introduction

There are 50 monster card types to collect in Shantae and the Seven Sirens, each requiring a different number to activate. Some only require 1, others require more.

Cards DO NOT COUNT towards 100%ing the game.

There’s a video version of this guide and a text version. The text version is probably better worded. All maths in both video and text guides are APPROXIMATE and for GUIDANCE, not hard fact.

Top Row

#1. Bat.

Effect: Reduces the cost of Boomerang magic by approximately 33%.

Found: Island West, Laboratory, Mining Site, Mossy Biome, Sunken Shipyard, Tour Route, Labyrinths 1, 4, 5 and 6.

#2. Crab.

Effect: Doubles Shantae’s crawling speed.

Found: Island West, Laboratory, Mining Site, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Sunken Shipyard, Tour Route, Labyrinths 1 and 5.

#3. Slime

Effect: Converts green gems into magic with hair whip.

Found: Laboratory, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Tour Route, Labyrinth 5.

Notes: Hit slimes to change their colour. Use the appropriate coloured Dance on the slime to make them explode. Do all four colours for an achievement.

#4. Tree Troll

Effect: Adds +4 to all Super Ball magic damage.

Found: Island East, Island West.

#5. Slime Wiz

Effect: Doubles the projectile speed of Super Ball magic.

Found: Island West, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Tour Route.

#6. Siren Man

Effect: Doubles the movement speed of Sea Frog.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Tour Route, Labyrinth 6.

Notes: Only found in Chapter 6.

#7. Archer

Effect: Reduces the cost of Rocket magic by approximately 33%.

Found: Island East, Laboratory.

#8. Crystal Crab

Effect: Break pots by walking through them.

Found: Laboratory, Mossy Biome, Labyrinth 2.

Notes: Use a Dance to make them vulnerable (and get some free gems).

#9. Dragon Head

Effect: Doubles the damage of the Tortoise Stomp from 10 to 20.

Found: Labyrinths 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6.

#10. Orc

Effect: Converts red gems to heart pickups with hair whip.

Found: Island West.

#11. Snake

Effect: Doubles vine climbing speed.

Found: Island East, Island West, Laboratory, Mossy Biome, Tour Route. Labyrinths 3, 4, 5 and 6

Notes: The white “Deep Sea Snakes” in dungeons can drop this too.

#12. Eagle Man Bomber

Effect: Doubles the damage of Boomerang magic.

Found: Island West, Labyrinth 6.

#13. Froglips

Effect: Doubles the damage of Fireball magic.

Found: Island East, Mossy Biome.

#14. Pincher

Effect: Increases the drop rate of food pickups.

Found: Island East, Sunken Shipyard.

Notes: You need Jellyfish card equipped to be able to hurt them.

#15. Naga

Effect: Reduces the cost of Fireball magic by approximately 33%.

Found: Island East, Service Area, Labyrinth 5.

#16. Cactus

Effect: Take no hearts damage when destroyed by spikes.
Found: Island East, Mossy Biome, Labyrinths 1 and 5.

#17. Scorpgal

Effect: Reduces the cost of Pike Ball magic by approximate 30/33/40% (rank).

Found: Island East, Labyrinth 5.

Notes: Zone in and out of the cave in Island East to force her to respawn.

#18. Scorpman

Effect: Increases the damage of Quake Dance from 25 to 37.

Found: Island East.

#19. Bone Fish

Effect: Doubles the travel speed of Boomerang magic.

Found: Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinth 3.

Notes: Undead.

#20. Wetman

Effect: Take no hearts damage when destroyed by pits.

Found: Laboratory, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinths 1, 5 and 6.

#21. Wetgal

Effect: Increases the drop rate of magic pickups.

Found: Labyrinths 3 and 5.

Notes: Leftmost vertical room of Labyrinth 3 – the first real room – at the bottom, if you’re struggling to find one.

#22. Mermaid

Effect: Doubles Shantae’s swim speed (not in Sea Frog form).

Found: Island West, Laboratory, Mining Site, Mossy Biome, Sunken Shipyard, Tour Route

#23. Jumping Frog

Effect: Reduces the cost of Shield magics by approximately 33/40/50% (rank).

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Island West

#24. Jellyfish

Effect: Allows Shantae to damage Pincher enemies.

Found: Labyrinth 3.

Notes: Does not affect enemies with PINCERS, just the Pincher enemy.

#25. Lobster Jogger

Effect: Increases the distance loot is drawn to Shantae.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Labyrinths 1 and 3.

Notes: These infinitely spawn in the first room of Labyrinth 1.

#26. Ceiling Bug

Effect: Doubles the travel speed of Rocket magic.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Service Area, Tour Route, Labyrinth 6.

#27. Wall Dasher

Effect: Increases the contact damage you deal while using Newt Dash (from 4 to 7 damage).

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Mossy Biome, Tour Route.

Notes: 7 dmg is enough to kill a lot of early zone enemies.

#28. Circus Squid

Effect: Reduces the cost of Spark Dance by approximately 40%.

Found: Labyrinth 5.

Notes: Use Spark Dance on them for a lot of gems and an achievement or Quake Dance for a quick kill.

#29. Rag and Bones

Effect: Refresh Dance heals double hearts (four rather than two).

Found: Laboratory, Labyrinths 4, 5, and 6.

Note: Undead.

#30. Golem

Effect: Increases the drop rate of gems.

Found: Laboratory, Mining Site, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinth 2.

#31. Siren Soldier

Effect: Reduces the cost of Quake Dance by approximately 40%.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Tour Route, Labyrinth 6.

Notes: Chapter 6 only.

#32. Rocket Archer

Effect: Doubles the damage of Rocket magic.

Found: Island West, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinths 3 and 5.

#33. Metal Slag

Effect: Reduces the cost of Super Ball magic by approximately 33%.

Found: Island East, Labyrinth 2.

Notes: Use the cave in Island East to farm these as you can exit and re-enter to force respawns.

#34. Muckgal

Effect: Increases the drop rate of hearts.

Found: Laboratory, Mining Site, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinth 6.

#35. Muckman

Effect: Food heals an extra 50% hp.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Island East, Island West, Laboratory, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinths 3, 4, and 6.

Notes: These infinitely spawn in the first room of Island East when leaving Arena Town.

#36. Phase Wall Dasher

Effect: Increases Newt Dash distance by approximately 66%.

Found: Laboratory, Mining Site, Labyrinth 3.

#37. Spider

Effect: Doubles climbing speed in Dash Newt form.

Found: Island West, Mining Site, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Sunken Shipyard, Tour Route, Labyrinth 5.

#38. Dirt Crawler

Effect: 150% drilling speed with Gastro Drill.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Laboratory, Mining Site, Mossy Biome, Sunken Shipyard, Labyrinths 2 and 6.

#39. Ghost Eye

Effect: Lowers Seer Dance cost by approximately 40%.

Found: Deep Sea Domain, Mossy Biome, Service Area, Labyrinth 6.

#40. Spectre

Effect: Refresh Dance now deals 4x damage to undead foes.

Found: Mining Site, Labyrinths 4 and 5.

Notes: undead.

#41. Skeleton Knight

Effect: Doubles Tortoise Bash charge speed.

Found: Mining Site, Labyrinths 4 and 6.

Notes: These spawn infinitely in the first room of Labyrinth 4.

#42. Sickly Silverfish

Effect: Lowers Refresh Dance cost by approx 40%.

Found: Labyrinths 3 and 5.

Notes: use Refresh Dance on them.

#43. Batgal

Effect: Increases Spark Dance damage (from 15 to 22).

Found: Laboratory, Mining Site, Labyrinths 4, 5, and 6.

#44. Water Lily Siren

Effect: +1 to hair whip damage.

Cost: 5 golden nuggets.

From: Card Collector in Arena Town.

#45. Coral Siren

Effect: Regenerate 1% mp per second.

Cost: 5 golden nuggets.

From: Card Collector in Tree Town (with the pet lizard).

#46. Tubeworm Siren

Effect: Doubles Tortoise Bash damage (from 10 to 20).

Cost: 6 golden nuggets.

From: Card Collector in Armor Town.

#47. Angler Fish Siren

Effect: Doubles Newt Dash speed.

Cost: 7 golden nuggets.

From: Zombie girl in Arena Town.

#48. Octo Siren

Effect: Doubles the damage of Pike Ball magic. (From 2 to 4 per hit).

Cost: 8 golden nuggets.

From: Bath House gal in Tree Town.

#49. Empress

Effect: Reduces damage taken (-1hp per hit).

Cost: 9 golden nuggets.

From: Armor Baron in Armor Town.
