Overview
This guide of some strategies I’ve found for Baldi’s Basics Plus is still very much a work in progress, and will be updated as I find new strategies. Also, keep in mind some strategies work better than others, depending on what randomly generated level you get. This is my first time making a guide, so sorry if its not that good. Anyways, lets get started!
Strategy #1: BSODA And Zesty Bars
This strategy involves collecting bsodas and zesty bars, as they are some of the most useful items in the game. They can help you get away from baldi quickly or shoot him down a long hallway, buying you some time to collect notebooks or escape if you’ve collected all the notebooks.
Play on Hide-And Seek Mode and get started on Floor 1. As you play through the floor and explore the school, collect as many bsodas and zesty bars as you can. Use quarters to buy bsodas and zesty bars at vending machines if your having trouble finding the items. I recommend a zesty bar in one slot and bsodas in the other four slots, if you can get that many on one floor. To make collecting the items easier, get all your bsodas and zesty bars before collecting the first notebook. Since Baldi is the slowest at 0 notebooks, it makes it easier to collect the items without baldi catching you, as long as Gotta Sweep doesn’t push Baldi into you. After collecting enough zesty bars and bsodas, get all the notebooks and complete Floor 1. For Floors 2 and 3, repeat these steps although with adjustments (like completing the math machines before collecting notebooks) depending on what you have and the environment in the level.
Strategy #2: Camping Field Trip
This strategy is a good one I found for beating the camping field trip, either when finding it while playing on the Hide-And-Seek mode, or when choosing camping on the Field Trips mode.
As soon as you are in camping, start heading out to collect logs. Go for the closest logs first. After you have collected 2 logs, head back to the campfire and wait until its about to go out. When its about to go out, click on the fire to refuel it with your logs. Then go back into the woods and collect 2 logs again. Keep repeating this until the timer is up and you should be able to complete camping without baldi spawning and catching you. However, also keep an eye out for Cloudy Copter and It’s A Bully. When Cloudy is near the fire, run to it so he goes away. For It’s A Bully, once you’ve found him hiding behind a tree in the forest, keep track of where he is and look at him so he doesn’t come up behind you and take your sticks. Remember this, and you should be good!
Strategy #3: Avoiding The Test
In this strategy, I’ll show you how you can avoid The Test if he spawns on the level your playing.
After you’ve spotted The Test in a hallway, the way you avoid him is by constantly looking at him while he’s in your sight. During this time, he’ll make the lights flicker. If you look away for even a split second after he activates, he will move at you so fast that he will get a lot closer to you or will be able to touch you and cause everything to get dark. Also, if its your first time spotting him, he has a 5 second activation delay, which means if you can get out of his sight within 5 seconds, he won’t have a chance to fully activate and start moving at a very high speed when not being looked at. After you’ve gotten out of The Test’s sight by going into a room or around a corner, the lights should return to normal, but remember where you last saw him. Because next time you go to that hallway, he will still be there.
