This guide helps with getting all achievements in Subnautica. It explains how to get each achievement and what is recommended to make getting the achievement easier. By the time your done with this guide, you should be done or get farther to getting 100%.

Getting Your Feet Wet

To earn this achievement, you need to go out of your lifepod through either hatch, and go in the water…

Ancient Technologies

This Achievement requires you going to the island left of the front of the Aurora…
This island can be found by looking left of Aurora and seeing a constant cloud/mist/foggy area…

Follow the Lost River

This Achievement is a little bit harder… First you have to find the Lost River through one of it’s entrances. Then, you will need to find an Alien facility located inside…

Optimal Health

As the Achievements aren’t in order, this is more of an endgame achievement… To get this you have to open the portal in Primary Containment and hatch the eggs… These hatchlings will give out the cure along with the achievement…

Seaside Living with an Ocean View

This Achievement is based on going to the other island to the right/behind the Aurora… This island holds 3 bases to scan new items…

Seamonsters

If you can go deep enough, you can get this achievement right after Seaside Living with an Ocean View… there is a place where if you go to the ocean floor below the floating island, there will be holes into a semi-large cave… In this cave you will find a base which continues in “Man’s Best Friend“…

Personal Propulsion

This achievement, along with Ordered the Prawn and 40 foot Sub For One require you finding blueprints and eventually gathering materials to make the vehicles… Because of this, these will show what is needed to craft and explain the general locations of the blueprints…
Where To Find:
Usually found by bigger wrecks and inside the Aurora…

Ordered the Prawn

Where To Find:
Your best bet is to scan the Prawn Bay inside the Aurora, otherwise it is a challenge getting them from wrecks…

“Man’s Best Friend”

A continuation of Seamonsters; when you explore the base in the Deep Grand Reef, you will find lots of scannable items and some you can even pick up. One of these items is a creature egg, this creature is the only known creature(The Cuddlefish) you can befriend and keep as a pet… By hatching this egg, you will earn both the achievement, and a new friend. (I believe you DO need to pick it up and let it out of containment in order for it to work…)

Extinction Event Avoided

This Achievement needs you to get into the Aurora and reach the reactor.. Then you repair it using the repair tool through several different Breaches…

Thermal Activity

The Thermal Plant
The Thermal Plant can be found the same way as you get the Fourteen Thousand Leagues Under the Sea achievement except in the way that you stop at the Inactive Lava Zone to find it, this one may be tricky however, because this facility is located in what is called the Lava Castle and the entrance may be hard to find… Also, I think there is a Sea Dragon guarding it, this is a Leviathan Class Creature..

Fourteen Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

The Primary Containment facility
The primary containment facility is known as the final facility that is visited to shut down the Quarantine Enforcement Platform AKA the Gun.. Like in its name, the facility is located at a depth greater than 14,000m under the sea.. This Facility can be accessed by first entering the Lost River, continuing down to the Inactive Lava Zone, and finally going into the Active Lava Zone.. This facility is located just farther down than the Thermal Plant which has its own achievement called Thermal Activity…
Side Note: There is a Leviathan Class Creature that can shoot fire circling the facility, I would be careful if I were you..

Leave Only Time Capsules

Leave Only Time Capsules
While there are time capsules that you can find throughout the map, you can get the achievement after building and completing the rocket. There is a time capsule you can fill out with up to six items, a message, and even a picture; after doing this, you can launch and get the achievement..

Follow the Degasi

The Jellyshroom Caves
Though the Jellyshroom caves may be hard to find, once you do, this achievement is easy… In these caves is the first of the underwater Degasi Bases which you can find interesting items that may help you.. I believe all you need to do is go in the base, take what you need, and the achievement should be given to you.

Settling in For the Long Haul

This simple achievement requires you to make the Habitat Builder and create any main structure (Ex. building a Multipurpose Room.)

40 foot Sub For One

Where To Find:
Mostly found in the Mushroom Tree area, by the Aurora, and by Quarantine Enforcement Platform(Gun)…

1x Advanced Wiring Kit

Go Among the Stars

With the final achievement being Go Among the Stars, you will finish the game. This has pretty simple and straightforward steps:

1. Get the blueprint for the Rocket in the Captain’s Quarters located by the Prawn Bay in the Aurora.
2. Build the Neptune Launch Platform on the Mobile Vehicle Bay.

4. Turn all systems on and, before you leave, complete another achievement by filling out the Time Capsule for Leave Only Time Capsules(more info. in Leave Only Time Capsules.)
