Overview
A guide to help you find all the elephant calf statues. (Available in March 2021)
Intro
This guide contains coordinates and a picture of each statue.
You can use the coordinates as a guide as to where to go next. They might be a bit confusing though. Usually, you see an XYZ format, or latitude and longitude, but the format in Meadow is (Y, Z, -X). That would be (latitude, altitude, -longitude). So, if the coordinates are (-50, 50, 50) and you’re at (0,0,0), then you need to go southwest and climb up.
If you’re unsure about your location, you can press LSHIFT+G to copy your current coordinates and then you can paste them somewhere else by pressing CTRL+V.
Oh, and here’s a map overview with the statues marked:
Thanks to the original authors of the map, Nemo and c42, by the way. You can find it here: Interactive Meadow Map[meadowmap.org]
This is likely the last guide for now because the rotation is over. Who knows what awaits us in the Meadow world in the future. Let’s hope for the best.
Elephant Calf #1
Coordinates: (723.9, 159.5, -514.4)
From the big tree, head northeast towards the mountains, then through the gap in the mountains. Carry on until you stumble upon the statue. Use the pictures and map for navigation.
Elephant Calf #2
Coordinates: (774.8, 175.7, -508.2)
Not too far away from the previous statue, there is the next one. They’re facing each other. This statue, however, is standing on an elevated spot on some rocks just north.
Here’s a hint from the position of the first statue:
Elephant Calf #3
Coordinates: (-661.6, 101.1, -770.2)
Go back. Or respawn at the tree. Your choice. Head southeast this time. You’re aiming for the mountainous corner of the map. So you’ll need to do some climbing. The statue is quite close to the edge of the map. It’s also close to a weird dead tree.
Elephant Calf #4
Coordinates: (-491.0, 1.7, 383.6)
You can either respawn at the tree again or carry on from the previous statue. If you chose the former, then head southwest for this one. However, I found a little easier to continue from the previous statue. That way, you mainly head west, down the rocky area, following the edge of the map. Once you cross a waterfall, you should be getting ready. Mountains should be on your right, the edge of the map on your left. Keep your eyes peeled for a den and a red bush. It’s very close to the transition to the autumn area. The calf is standing right in front of the den.
Elephant Calf #5
Coordinates: (-608.4, -12.2, 777.2)
From the previous statue, you can head more or less west (slightly, but just slightly south too). If you cross a narrow river a few times, then that’s a good sign. Eventually, you should come across a lake with a big hollow tree. The elephant calf is sitting close to the water, staring at the tree.
Elephant Calf #6
Coordinates: (346.8, 5.0, 601.1)
Let’s go north this time. You might deviate a bit from that course, though, because there are quite a few obstacles, which is fine. For example, there’s this big gap in the map. I went right and kept it on my left, but it’s up to you. Once I got past that, there’s a mountain. I went right and kept it to my left again. But you can choose left again. If you went like me, you should be moving through a swamp. You can either go straight through or go around it. Up to you again. Once you reach its other end, however, keep your eyes peeled. The statue isn’t very far.
Elephant Calf #7
Coordinates: (1007.9, 6.6, 492.7)
Let’s go north again. You should reach the winter area and the edge of the map after that. Just follow the edge until you run into a corner, then turn right. Keep your eyes peeled on the right side. The statue is standing on an elevated area, not too far from the edge of the map. If you hit the inverted corner of the map without finding the statue, then you went too far east.
Elephant Calf #8
Coordinates: (1647.4, -1.4, -283.9)
What I did now was to head east until I reached a river. You can do so too. You can’t miss it. Once you reach the river, turn left (north, just in case) and follow it until its end in the rainy and rocky area. You should see a big weird rock formation with a gap. The elephant calf is down by the gap.
Below is a photo taken at the transition to the rainy rocky area with a view of the rock formation.
Elephant Calf #9
Coordinates: (1877.0, 1.2, -489.3)
Next statue is to the northeast, on an island by the corner of the map.
Elephant Calf #10
Coordinates: (2219.3, 80.3, -1353.4)
Let’s go to the tropical area. Follow the beach to the northern edge of the map and go upwards to the east. If you do so, you will run into the statue that way.
