Overview
there are manny biomes in meadow, in this guid i will be explaining each one. like what animals are suited to live there, ( roleplay grove),what is the best den site there (roleplay grove), and other things. plus pictures! even though this guide is mostly for roleplayers anyone can use it. i hope it helps you!
all the biomes
here is a list of all the biomes in meadow.
taiga, taiga lake, taiga mountains
winter biome, winter forest, snowy hills, snowstorm biome.
autumn forest, autumn lake, autumn hills.
archipelago. lakes. swamp biome. dead tree biome. pride rock biome. mountains. forest. plains, (big tree biome)
taiga
i would say this is the best place to settle for a pack. there is plenty of shelter, and prey. there is a lake near hear, so you can have water and fish. plus it is not too cold or hot.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
this den is located at the base of a mountain on the edge of the taiga. it has plenty of space, good for a big pack of animals. two entrances. there is another den next to it closer to the winter biome.
taiga lake
only the lake its self and a small portion of land around it is considered to be part of this biome, the rest of the teritory with taiga trees is normal taiga. not many animals live in this biome (unless you are a frog) but animals do come by to drink or catch fish.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
(no dens)
taiga mountains
this biome includes any elevated land with taiga trees. there is a large lake near here, but it might be far for cubs to walk.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
a short tunnel going through a tall rock. normal size. good protection from wind.
winter biome
there are not many trees here, and the trees that are here are dead, but there are enough bushes to support herbivores, and omnivores. there is a river you can drink from, but it is too cold to swim in.
lynxes, wolves, foxes, goats, rabbits, lynx cubs, and bear cubs can live here
a normal amount of food.
recommended den:
this den is like most other dens in meadow, but it is still efficient, and will offer good protection for your animal. and it is easy to defend. also there is a bigger den to the left above this den, i would recommend that one if you have a big family.
winter forest
it is a very small biome with big snow covered trees. but the den is probably big enough to live in by its self.
lynxes, wolves, foxes, goats, rabbits, pheasants, lynx cubs, and bear cubs can live here
a normal amount of prey.
recommended den:
this is the biggest of all the dens. to get to the main chamber of the den you have to go through a long tunnel. in the den there is a lot of vegetation, a lake in the middle of the cave, and mud puddles!
(the den is suited for any animal to live in) also i call this den the summer den.
winter hills
this biome starts at the edge of the winter biome and stretches to the pride rock biome. the cliffs block the wind so it is not as cold as the other snowy biomes.
lynxes, wolves, foxes, goats, rabbits, pheasants, lynx cubs, and bear cubs can live here.
a normal amount of prey.
recommended den:
an indent in the side of the mountain by the monolith and the even closer to the snowy passage. a good amount of space.
snow storm biome
this is the coldest of all the biomes because it snows very heavily. there are many rocks and dead trees scattered around the biome, and there is a mountain in the back of the biome.
wolves, lynxes, foxes, goats, rabbits, and pheasants. ( may be too cold for cubs )
low amount of prey
recommended den:
a large cave with a well sheltered back section, but there is water in front of the cave, so it might be dangerous to enter.
autumn forest
a giant forest filled with orange leafed trees that provide good protection. also a good place for a pack, and more than one den to chose from.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended dens:
both dens are located by the border of the swamp biome. the left one you have to climb a little to get to, and is hard to defend because you can go through the top, but it is still a nice den with plenty of space. the next one is below the first one closer to the river. it is a normal den, and easy to defend.
for both dens you have to travel down the river to get clean water.
autumn lake
a lake with a large tree in the middle. the land around is the lake is also included in the biome. the tree can be used as a den, but it might be hard to get your cubs across the water. and there is plenty of fish for food.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
a medium sized den with ferns in side for extra comfort. you also get a good view.
autumn hills
this biome is located just above the autumn forest, it is a steep mountain with a few trees. fall leaves cover the ground, which effects hunting. even though it is steep you cubs should be able to climb it.
any animal can live here. ( if it can get up the mountain )
plenty of prey
recommended den:
even though this den is like most others, just a little bigger, but there are manny benefits, for example there is a fruit tree right out side.
archipelago
this is the newest of all the biomes, it is a series of islands filled with vegetation. it is very far from the main tree. the biggest island is located at the corner of the world, you may have to swim to get there.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
a tree that has fallen on to a pile of rocks. you could sleep on the soft ferns under the tree, and use the top a look out, or just a place to sit.
lakes
there many lakes in meadow, but i have put the two biggest ones in this guid. the first is located above the summer den, it has one big island in the middle, and the water runs down in to the winter biome. the second one has manny small islands in the middle, and it is the source for the main river that runs through the plains biome. both lakes have clean water with a normal temperature.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended dens:
the first den is a long tunnel that leads to the summer den. large rocks outline the entrance so it is well protected. the second one is a small simple den, surrounded by trees. and there is a small clearing in front of the den, a perfect place to train your cubs.
swamp biome
the swamp biome is filled with murky water, so i would not live in this biome. the closest drinkable water is in the autumn forest. also it is foggy so your cubs could get lost easily.
frogs can live here
prey is scarce
recommended den:
most animals do not live here because of the water, but some chose to because there is a low risk an animal would try to take over that territory, or they simply like the swamp. so that animal, or pack, is going to need a den, ( well its a tree but i am calling it a den ), this den may not protect you much from the wind, but it is comfortable inside, and it is surrounded by water so it would hard for enemy to get in without being spotted.
dead tree biome
this is one of the worst biomes to live in because there is no water, and lots of fog, which your cubs can get lost in. there is also no vegetation. so I would suggest this place to live if you are looking for a challenge.
prey is scarce
no animals should live here
recommended den:
a large den which provides good protection from the fog.
pride rock biome
it rains constantly in this biome, which is why not much prey lives here. the most common prey is fish and frogs. lynxes usually do not live here because of the rain. also you get achievement for climbing to the top of pride rock.
wolves, foxes, badgers (maybe), goats, frogs, bear cubs, and badger cubs (maybe).
normal amount of prey.
recommended den:
a medium sized cave which offers good shelter from the rain. the floor of the cave is curved which makes it comfortable to sleep in. also the cave is easy to climb so you can use the top as a look out.
mountains
there are manny mountains in meadow, the one in this picture is located above the plains biome. a lot of animals could survive in the mountains, but it’s really a matter of can they climb them. there is almost always a river or a lake in the mountains, so you can fish and drink.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
I am not going to recommend a den because I don’t want to search every mountain in meadow for one.
forest
there are many patches of forest, but this is the one closest to the big tree. this one is called the birch forest, because the trees here are birch trees. there is plenty of food, and in the den is a water puddle to drink from.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
this is one of the most used dens in meadow, it is located on the border of the plains biome. it is normal sized, and in front is a pile of rocks you can use as a look out. there are no trees in front of the den to block your view, so you can see other animals coming from a long way.
plains (big tree biome)
the plains biome is located in the middle of meadow. the big tree is in this biome. it is also one of the largest biome in meadow. there are few trees, but lots of bushes. a long river runs through this biome, which you can fish and drink from.
any animal can live here
plenty of prey
recommended den:
this is also one of the most used dens in meadow, because it is located on the big tree. in front of the den is a large grassy clearing, perfect for your cubs to play in.
