PRAWN Suit Anti-Glitch 3,000 for Subnautica

PRAWN Suit Anti-Glitch 3,000

Overview

A detailed guide on how to fix or combat 3 annoying PRAWN Suit glitches:-Falling through the ground-Getting the suit 100% stuck-Grappling hook issues

PRAWN Suit falling through the world

The PRAWN suit is powerful, able to work at crushing depths and in 0 gravity, however, despite all this, it is prone to… FALLING THROUGH THE WORLD.

Every once in a while, you’ll be walking in your PRAWN suit, having a good day in Subnautica, and the suit just no-clips straight through the ground and begins falling into the world. You run out of jet boost, and you feel like you’re screwed.

Not all is lost, however. In fact, if you perform this correctly, nothing will be lost except a mere few minutes. So, here we go!

You have two methods to carry this through:

1. The Lazy Method

Or

2. The Slightly More Complex Method

So, here we go:

THE LAZY METHOD

The lazy method is a bit lazy and, very annoying, however, it works. This will, stupidly, end you up back in the Safe Shallows (near your life pod), however. I recommend the “Slightly More Complex Method”, but here you go, if you’d like to do it this way.
STAY IN THE PRAWN SUIT DURING THIS ENTIRE METHOD.
WARNING: This may accidentally land you in other deeper areas of the game. If you’re trying to avoid all possible spoilers, don’t use this method.

1. Activate your use of commands. If you’re on a Windows machine, press the F3 button. If you’re on a Mac machine, hold in FN and press F3.
This has activated your usage of commands and made an annoying black box appear. You can press the key(s) again, and make the box disappear, and your commands will still work.

2. Put yourself into Creative. Simply press the enter or return key, and then type in:
creative
And then press enter. You will now be in creative mode, your PRAWN suit will not get damaged below crush depth (or get damaged at all) or run out of power, and you will not lose hunger, thirst, health or oxygen.

3. FALL. Once your PRAWN suit has reached the well-below-crush-depth of 8,000 meters down, you and your suit will be teleported back into the Safe Shallows as if nothing ever happened. WARNING: This may accidentally land you in other deeper areas of the game. If you’re trying to avoid all possible spoilers, don’t use this method. Once you pass below 3,000 meters, you’ve passed all biomes you can land in. Green light, so to speak.
Once you’re back in the Safe Shallows, press enter, then type this command:
survival
Then hit enter. This will put you back into survival, or type “hardcore” instead, if you were in hardcore mode.

THE SLIGHTLY MORE COMPLEX METHOD

More complex than the alternative, however does not land you back in the Safe Shallows, and instead, puts you where you choose, most likely somewhere in the surrounding area or directly above you.

3. Freeze your PRAWN suit. While inside your PRAWN, press enter, then type this command:
warpforward 3000
And then press enter. You’d think this would teleport the PRAWN forward 3,000 meters due to the command, but because Subnautica is still quite buggy, this instead freezes the PRAWN in place. If the PRAWN gets hit by something (excluding you, the player), it will begin to fall again, so be careful.

4. Wait. Wait for your jet boost to refill entirely, the purple bar on the bottom right of the PRAWN suit GUI.

5. Exit the PRAWN. Simply exit the PRAWN, the key to getting out is E by default.

6. Enter the PRAWN and jump up. Reenter your PRAWN. As soon as you do, the PRAWN will begin falling again. Due to your refilled jet boost, use your boost (space key by default) to boost yourself back up. Once you’re out of boost again, press ENTER, then UP, then ENTER. This will reload and reuse the last command you did, hopefully the command in step 3.

Repeat steps 3-6 until you’re back into the world. You will always no-clip back THROUGH the ground (back into the world), however make sure you don’t collide with any coral or entities, they WILL prevent you from moving back up.
Once you’re back where you need to be, press enter, then type this command:
survival
Then hit enter. This will put you back into survival, or type “hardcore” instead, if you were in hardcore mode.

GLITCH “VACCINES”

In real life, vaccines are a way to prevent diseases before they happen (or, cause autism, apparently…), so I’ll be giving you a few glitch vaccines, ways to stop glitches before they happen.

1. Do not let the PRAWN collide with walls, ceilings, or floors at high speeds. The PRAWN tends to no-clip more the faster it’s going, so if you’re speeding towards the ocean floor at many meters per second, use some of your jet boost to slow it down a little before it lands.

2. Do not let the PRAWN land on slanted surfaces. The PRAWN tends to no-clip a little easier if it lands on slanted surfaces. I tried this, and it’s much easier to make the PRAWN no-clip if you hit the base/side of a pillar in the Grassy Plateaus than if you hit the plateau’s ocean floor.

An extra tip, Tree Mushrooms tend to be a very sturdy thing for the PRAWN suit to land on. I’ve never had the PRAWN no-clip through one of them!

PRAWN Suit completely stuck; can’t move at all

This is a more rare glitch with the PRAWN, but still quite an annoying one indeed. Occasionally, you’ll accidentally (or purposefully, if you’re like me) slam the PRAWN into something, maybe a specific structure of some kind? (I’m trying to avoid spoilers, but if you’ve played the game for more than about 3 hours you should know what I’m talking about) And the PRAWN suit will just completely freeze, and you can try everything, but it just won’t budge. Here’s how to fix that.
WARNING: This will destroy the suit in the process. Follow the instructions and recommendations, and you should be fine.

Step 1: Disarm your PRAWN suit. Take everything off your PRAWN suit of value to you, all upgrades, arm upgrades, and stored items. Anything left in the PRAWN will get destroyed.

-If you’re lucky, your PRAWN suit will already be past its maximum crush depth (900 meters with no upgrades) and will begin to take damage. Let it be destroyed, if so.

Step 2: Activate your use of commands. If you’re on a Windows machine, press the F3 button. If you’re on a Mac machine, hold in FN and press F3.
This has activated your usage of commands and made an annoying black box appear. You can press the key(s) again, and make the box disappear, and your commands will still work.

Step 3: Spawn a Boneshark. Bonesharks are rather large fish with low defenses and high attack values. Look where you want to spawn your Boneshark, then hit enter, then type this command:
spawn boneshark
Then hit enter. This will spawn a singular Boneshark. Make sure you’re in survival or hardcore mode, and get in your PRAWN. The Boneshark will realize you’re in your glitched suit and begin attacking it repeatedly. It’ll take a while, but after a few minutes the Boneshark will completely destroy your PRAWN suit.

-<CLEANUP>-

As you can tell, this method does require a bit of a cleanup. If you’re like me and don’t want to have a Boneshark wandering around in the Safe Shallows or any other area where it should not be, you can use your Survival Knife and Stasis Rifle to kill it.
You can teleport back to your base easily. Put yourself in creative by hitting enter, then typing this command:
creative
Then enter again. Hit enter once more, then type:
kill
Then hit enter again. This will kill your player and respawn them at the seabase or Cyclops, which ever one of those you last entered. Because you were in creative mode, you will not lose your items.
In creative mode, it doesn’t cost materials to build things. Since the game cheated you by desperately glitching the PRAWN Suit, cheat it back and build yourself a new one, free. So long as you’re in creative.
Once you’re done with everything, press enter, then type this command:

1. Move your PRAWN slowly and carefully around said “structures”.
This is what I mean by “structures”:
The alien bases dummy. The big green/gray buildings?
Don’t go flying rapidly around in the PRAWN or rocketing towards the sea floor while in your PRAWN. It likes to get stuck as your punishment.

Grappling Hook Glitches

Catchy title!

Unfortunately, unlike the other sections to this guide, there is no definite, 100% way to completely stop grappling hook glitches. However, there are lots of ways to reduce the chances of them happening!

1. Make the grappling hook hit the surface parallel to the surface. As much as you can. This just tends to work more, strangely.

2. Grappling hooks work much better on anything but the rocks. Your grappling hook will work much better if you latch onto a fish or coral. When going around, latch onto Tree Mushrooms for a lot higher chance for the grappling hook to actually work.
