Overview
An easy, but no so quick way to get your GTA to run.To noobs, from a noob.
Everything you need to do is relatively simple.
You need to download Games For Windows Live.
GTA IV runs on this, its unnecessary for a dev to require this, but Rockstar decided to require it. You can find the program at this link; [link]
Once downloaded, simply run the “gfwl installer” and once prompted, sign into an existing Windows LIVE login, or create one using your email.
After initial set up simply run the GTA IV launcher from Steam, and sign into Rockstar Social Club.
Once signed in, the game shouldn’t close immediately like it did before, but it should prompt you to enter the game’s CD key (either found in a Steam pop-up or in the Game Info tab on your Library)
Enter the CD key, and enjoy your poorly optimized trash.
