Overview
This guide shows the codes and descriptions for the secret characters you can play as.
How to insert codes.
Before I show you the characters, you need to learn how to insert codes. You don’t need a cheat engine, or a console, or something from a shady website, you just need one different character unlocked.
Now, go into a chapter, and when you enter a level, this will pop up:
So, once you have that screen, DON’T enter the level! First, you need to type the code into your keyboard while on this screen. If done correctly, you will here a voice say “Push the buttons!” Once you hear that, hit enter when hovering over the original Meat Boy. Now that you know that here are the codes:
Tofu Boy + Secret Achievement
So, lets start with Tofu Boy.
You also unlock a secret achievement when you enter the code correctly.
So, Tofu Boy’s code is “petaphile.”
Tofu Boy is a joke character added by Team Meat. He is essentially useless because he is REALLY heavy and can’t beat many levels. Hell, he can’t even cross over the tiny jump in 1-1.
Brownie
Now playing as Brownie is a little more difficult. You must be playing the game Xbox or have a Xbox controller connected in order to enter his code. Additionally, you must have beaten The Salt Factory Light World boss level before the code works.
If you manage to have the equipment, requirements, and want to play as Brownie, his code is RB, RB, RB, B, B, B, X.
Brownie works the exact same as Meat Boy. The only difference is that his assets use Brownie’s design from The Salt Factory boss level. Not much needing to be said.
GooBall
GooBall is my personal favorite.
GooBall’s code is “ballgoo”
GooBall works pretty much like Head Crab, or EXACTLY like Gish from the 360 version of the game, as they can stick to walls. The only difference between Head Crab and Gish is that GooBall can jump higher.
Tim
Ok, now I greatly apoligize for this one. Tim is a character that people know about but his code is really glitchy. I have been unable to input it myself and capture a screenshot; I can’t really give a good description about him.
Tim’s code is “outtatime”
Like I said, Tim’s code is a bit broken. People had held down shift while typing outtatime and it worked. Alternatively, people also did outatime, entering only one t. Also, users have held shift and found success.
