This guide will use xPadder.

Setting up the 360 Controller

Launch xPadder, you will end up with something like this:

Click the controller in the top left and start a New… controller layout. A screen will appear:

Click the corresponding parts of the controller on the left, check the Enable box and repeat the instructions onscreen on your 360 controller. Make sure to click in both analogue sticks and hit the back and startbutton when entering buttons. Click OK when you’re done to be taken back to the main Xpadder window with your new layout. Click the controller icon in the top left again, and Save As… 360controller.xpaddercontroller

Now it’s a simple case of assigning the right keyboard buttons to the right buttons. If you have left the default controls alone, you can copy the layout below. It plays the same as a playstation controller would have, except the Back button pulls flares out. Save this layout as tombraider3.xpadderprofile with the top right controller icon.

Leave xPadder running, ensure your controller is plugged in and start Tomb Raider!
