Strategy on capturing Fusion Towers efficiently for Robocraft

Strategy on capturing Fusion Towers efficiently

Overview

Having trouble capturing fusion towers?Does the enemy team always recapture your tower?Do you want to get an advantage against the enemy team? Then you’ve come to the right guide

(BASIC)Protonitivity

Protonitivity is the amount of damage a certain type of weapon is able to do to a protonium crystal. This could be seen on the weapon stats.Hovering your cursor over that item in either your inventory or cube depot would show weapon stats). The more protonitivity percentage there is,the more damage it causes.

Here are the protonitivity values of each weapon:

  • SMG:100%

Recommended for destroying crystals accurately(Robots who uses mega smgs for all their weapons can annihilate these towers in seconds)

  • Plasma Launcher:184%

Recommended for high damage

  • Rail Cannon:280%

Has the highest protonitivity percentage but not recommended for destroying fusion towers.
But it could do massive damage on mid-end game(at overclock level 13)
-Cubey Cube

How to destroy Fusion Towers(without reloading)
Shoot at the bottom of the connection points of the tower to spread the damage to the top
-HeKis4

  • NanoTech Disruptor:180%

Even more recommended that SMGs

  • Tesla Blade:10%

NEVER USE TO DESTROY FUSION TOWERS

(BASIC)Capturing Fusion Towers towers fast

Fusion Towers and the Protonium Reactor just like robots have connection points. These connection points are attached to certain parts of the object.(ex.Robot Chassis cubes,Protonium Crystals).

Therefore, shooting at these connection points would destroy objects connected to it.

If all crystals connected to both of the connection points are destroyed then every single protonium crystal in that fusion tower will get destroyed otherwise, they would be floating in mid air.

If you’re having troubles seeing the connection points, the lines on at the glass shield points toward the connection points:

(Advanced)Destroying the Protonium Reactor

Just the like Fusion Towers, the Protonium Reactor also has connection points.Although unlike Fusion Towers,The Protonium Reactor has 4 connection points.

The strategy here is to draw a line(yes literaly draw) in the 4 connection points.Keep in mind that you have to leave some sections of the line undamaged(preferably the top or bottom),this way the enemy team has no idea what you’re planning to do.When ready, just shoot those undamage sections and the whole thing pops out from the reactor’s base and the enemy doesn’t even get a chance to counter attack.

(Advanced)Pushing Fusion Towers

A strategy I created for pushing Fusion Towers:
So you captured a tower(You:”Yay!,I contributed to my team!”),but then the whole enemy team rekt you and recaptured your team’s last tower. How do you fix this problem?

First your team needs to heavily damage all 3 towers(captured by the enemy) about 1/4 to 1/6 left.Try to avoid some parts of the connection points to save some crystals undamaged.

Since these towers are captured by the enemy, they can’t recapture it.When your team’s ready, blast the remaining crystals and capture all fusion towers at once. This way,you get the advantage and the enemy’s fusion shield would be down.TIME TO DESTROY THE REACTOR

Enemy captured a tower?Do it again >:)

Note:Someone needs to guard the base(if your fusion tower’s deactive) while the rest of the team is damaging fusion towers otherwise ,your reactor would be open to attacks.

Another Note:This wouldn’t work 100% of the time,if the enemy team is just too good and captures all towers again, then you’re screwed.

(Advanced)Stealing Fusion Towers

This strategy is used at the beginning of a round.
First, watch closely as the enemy team shoots at their nearest tower. If the enemy team knows how to capture towers properly, then you’ll know they’ll shoot the connection points first. Then, after letting them destroy some parts of the tower, shoot the rest of the crystals.By doing this, your enemy team just gave you a free tower(plus some overclock levels)

I highly recommended being a flyer or a fast drone.

(Advanced)Splitting your teamates to capture Fusion Towers

In a tier 10 match for example(Now called MK10), your team has 8 team mates. This strategy teaches you how to divide your team to capture the towers.First, two members of your team would go capture the nearest fusion tower. Then the rest of the team(6 players) would go capture the middle tower.Yes,you need 6 players since there’s a high chance that the enemy team would go capture the middle fusion tower, but since you have 6 players your group has a higher advantage.

Take Note that there’s a chance that the enemy team could suddenly rush to your nearest tower so I recommend that the strongest player and a healer would go capture the nearest tower.

New update on fusion towers

With the aeroflak and missile launcher update,a new detail was added in the fusion towers:
A line in sides of the tower connecting towards the connection points. This could help ground vehicles easily spot where the connection points are located. On the other hand, flying robots could use the lines on top of the fusion tower.
