The art of flak – Steam Solo

Overview

Hello and welcome to my first guide ever on steam, today I will talk about how to deal with plasma bombers in tier 4-5

Intro

I found that the fine art of flaking is rarely understood, or mastered in the lower levels. This makes planes at T4-5 WAY too OP, often unkillable. I have been in both the sending and receiving end of this, and I know it’s not fun for the receiving end. Time to rectify this with this guide

Types of planes you need to watch out for

Types:

Interceptors: For shooting down plasma bombers and rail fliers-Good vs planes.Plasma Bomber: Ground atack bombers- Very Good against ground.Rail Flier: Terrible. Full stop.

Aim for plasma bombers first, then interceptors and finally rails.
Plasma bombers are DANGEROUS. USE EXTREME CAUTION. No, I’m not kidding. USE EXTREME CAUTION. THEY CAN AND OFTEN WILL ONE-SHOT YOU. And when you still aren’t cautions, don’t rage at the pilot; it’s your fault.

But all planes HATE SMGs and Rail Snipers. They are more than capable of killing them, IF they aim right. And here I’ll help people know how to kill planes

What I use: The SdKfz. 15 88mm Pak 43

Here’s my Flak/AT gun. It’s a cross between a flak gun and a tank destroyer. I play it as a tank destroyer- shoot, duck back into cover, reload, peek out, shoot and repeat. But it flaks really well too, often one-shotting planes. Play it aggressively IF there’s no planes. Else, use it as flak. I average 2 kills and 600 credits per game using it.
P.S. The release version MAY look and perform different from picture.
P.P.S. There is a MASSIVE reference to the 88mm flak gun (or more precisely the 88mm Pak43)

Tips

If using SMGs, inundate the area around the plane with shots. One of them will (hopefully) hit and damage something important.

If using rail, preempt the shot, and let it aim. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE OR TWO SHOTS!! Even one hit will cripple the plane in most cases
