Overview
Hey there guys. This guides just gonna show you how to play ascend again. Sure it was only in beta when it closed down, but still, some ncie nostalgia never hurt anyone, and you can play the beta all the way through (almost entirely) bug free with this new revival project. So, ye.
Step 1. Download the Game files
Easy peasy here. Just copy+paste this into your web browser, and the game will install on steam.

Step 2. Join the discord
Now that your game is downloaded, youll need to join the ascender discord server, which can be found at [link]
From here, youll download the server emulator from the #install channel in the server. Youll simply run the exe, it will install the required files, and then launch ascend for you. Enjoy!
Step 3. Help the developer!
Permanull, the person working on this, deserves alot of thanks for bringing back mine, and I assume your, childhood game. So anyone who knows a bit about coding, please read this and assist him in making the game functional 100% again:

The server is currently written in PHP and will most likely be refactored once a lot more work is put into things to make it stable, the main thing though is knowing how to reverse engineer. If you’re familiar with IDA Pro and have reverse engineered on x86 please reach out to me and I’ll get you started on analyzing the game code and determining how we can improve on current server code.”
