So I very much enjoy the game and decided to do my part by creating this guide about it. I do it to help u have a better understanding of the game mechanics, ence you should play a bit (at least tutorial) before reading it. You can read only what’s in Bold for the short version.

First, the game is composed of 7 martials arts or their branch that are: Shaolin Kung Fu, Shotokan Karate, Taekwondo, Wing Chun, Ninja, Muay Thai- Kickboxing and US Marine.

You can unlock these using two methods.
First if u want to help the developers and have badass pants u can unlock them with real money (often at rebate).
Second u just have to play and level your belt by playing to unlocks other martial arts than Shaolin respectively at levels 5-10-20-30-35-40, if i’m not mistaking.

Now there are 4 stats that u want to understand:

Adrenaline: In the middle of the card. Level of the techniques you can use. Each martial art start with a different level of adrenaline. Most of them receive a bonus per round. All of them arts receive a bonus per attack. Some cards give a malus, others a buff.

Attack Power: Bottom left of the card. The amount of damage u do per attack with this card.

Attack speed: Bottom right of the card. The most relevant stat at my opinion, in most case u should build your deck around it and some others that i will mention later.

Chi cost: Bottom mid of the card. Most of the Chi cards and Dim Mak cards will have a Chi cost attached to its execution.

A deck is composed of 30 cards, 20 attack mode and 10 defense mode. The composition of a deck will greatly vary depending on the martial art, the parts targeted and the card available, ence you should rush collecting new cards before anything else.

You can buy packs at store with in game money for the price of 500 gold each. 5 cards. You receive gold randomly depending on your actions (I think). Therefore, always check if u have the 100 gold bonus available. A great way to help developper and get gold at cheap price is to buy the bounty box that will increase over time. So don’t buy it right away.

You gain performance customization points by leveling your Challenges. Max is Grand Dragon Master at 50k points. I suggest you read each definitions points, since they can be of great help if used wisely. If you don’t know what to chose, go either for defensive points (reflex and counters) or attack speed (hand and foot).

Things You should know

Things that you should know:

For PVP you need some attack speed or you will get destroyed. I suggest you implement attack speed buffs, adrenaline buffs and chi boost cards in yours decks. Chi steal in counter cards is good too.

In Defend mode, to get a chance to counter u need to hit the green defense line from any side as close as you can, then hit the red one that will appear. Note: There will be no countering option if your adrenaline level is too low for the cards available in your deck.

There is no side on the cards. For example, if you aim to blind me, the Eye you will attack will be randomly pick at each draw. If the card is at the right of your screen, it will mean that you will attack with your right side.

The higher you break a body part, the les efficient it become. For example, if you break my right ankle, ill will still be able to attack with my right knee, but if you snapp my knee joint, then I will lose the ankle and the knee attacks

To collect cards easy complete the history and buy cards packs. If u go with differents martial arts it will help leveling up challenges faster. The AI doesn’t care of speed and buffs so i suggest u just throw away any chi cards and spam attacks since it doesn’t recognized patterns as a human would in PVP.

The fastest way to beat the AI is by head trauma or other more developed ways. To complete differents challenge fast. Do Auto-build decks as shown in tutorial with the wanted area targeted twice. For example, If they ask you to win by blinding the enemy. Just do → New deck → Autobuild → Eyes primary + Eyes secondary. Then u complete the history mode challenge with the custom deck. Easy peasy, though u need the appropriate cards.

Speed buffs stacks each others.

Double attacks works on Dim Maks.

You can Replace your cards once a round! it is top left of screen. The amount of cards you can replace vary depending on what martial art you have chosen. Red cards mean broken body parts, you should replace them first.

A fail attack still gives you the adrenaline boost per attack, but not the Chi one. NB Thanks to MOO and his friend, we now know that failed attack create very slow attacks and will give easy contering chance to the ennemy

At my opinion you should use your spirits points only to reroll wood chest.

You can win a fight by destroying a vital organ , causing a body trauma or by multiple injury thats grinds out opponent.. You should always target a specific area in your decks to win faster.

After 48 hours of inactivity in PVP you become Defenceless to your opponent.

Since Ninja and Wing Chun starts with High Adrenaline, don’t bother with low levels cards except if they are useful to you.

The only way to add someone in your friend list right now is to give him your numbered ID and he has to do the same. A good way i found to exchange ID is in Battle Chat (Taunt: top right of screen).

Each Martial Arts Review

Last but not the least, here is a review of every martial arts. Ill will add US Marine when i unlock it…

Shaolin Kung Fu

Attack time: 13.5 sec
Number of cards you can replace: 5
Start Adrenaline: 1.5
Adrenaline per attack: 0.2
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0.5
Start Chi: 20
Chi per attack: 5

Very basic. I suggest u use it mainly in PVE since the AI doesn’t considerate speed. If u actually use it in PVP, you will need to use early levels to build up Chi and Adrenaline. Speed boost will be a good asset in your deck. Good defence would be things that help you survive. Chi steal, joints breaking, speed drain etc…

Karate Shotokan

Attack time: 14 sec
Number of cards you can replace: 4
Start Adrenaline: 1.0
Adrenaline per attack: 0.1
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0.6
Start Chi: 45
Chi per attack: 2

For your Shotokan decks to be serious, I suggest that you emphasis on powerful builded up attack. Go for quality, not quantity. For example a good combo would be: Chi boost, speed buff, speed buff again, short block line, adrenaline buff than 2-3 badass attacks!

Taekwondo

Attack time: 12 sec
Number of cards you can replace: 2
Start Adrenaline: 1.0
Adrenaline per attack: 0.1
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0.7
Start Chi: 20
Chi per attack: 3

Now it will depends on the cards you have available. Do not use hand attacks with Teakwondo, except maybe some uppercut if boosted. Normally i personally go for lower legs bones, joints, jugular or spine with this one. Also remember no chi attacks or Dim mak, so you will emphasis on crooked legs attacks and chi boosts.

Wing Chun

Attack time: 20 sec
Number of cards you can replace: 1
Start Adrenaline: 3.0
Adrenaline per attack: 0.1
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0.2
Start Chi: 50
Chi per attack: 1

Very speedy with high adrenaline starts, but low damages. Longest attack time so you can build up awesome combo. Place a couple Dim mak and chimanagements cards and you have a deadly weapon. Careful, you need a lot of attacking cards, because you can only replace 1 per turn. So if you have 5 Dim mak cards on your screen, well your pretty doomed for a while… You wanna targets weak spots with this one (eyes, head, joints, jugular…) or have 1 shot Dim mak cards like Hearth 35% x 3 turn …

Ninja

Attack time: 6.5 sec
Number of cards you can replace: 8 (All)
Start Adrenaline: 4.0
Adrenaline per attack: 0.1
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0
Start Chi: 40
Chi per attack: 0

The most aggressive of all martial arts in the game. You want to win fast and be self sufficient with Chi. Hands attacks are deadly fast so a couple speed boosts, smoke fog, double attack than a Spine Dim mak 35%x 3 turn and if your opponent miss both blocking, he is dead in 1.5 turn… Very weak defenses mechanism… you want to kill youre opponent fast or head bang him with all you have!… Note also, that Chi cards will reset sometime when you use them. A good ninja will be aware of these and bring his Chi to 200 with a 40 Chi boost card or make his round longer than wing chun with a timer card …

Muay Thai – Kick Boxing

Attack time: 18.5
Number of cards you can replace: 6
Start Adrenaline: 1.0
Adrenaline per attack: 0.2
Adrenaline bonus per turn: 0
Start Chi: 20
Chi per attack: 1

I just unlocked it. You won’t stop him by breaking his bones, so you need to go for his elbow or knee joints. For this one to be efficient, u need to blast buffed attacks. I suggest you have a couple adrenaline boost in your deck. You need to buff your attacks all along, so a couple chi management cards won’t be too much. You want to hit hard with your elbows and knees with this one. Also, you will need more than the starting cards. Pretty sure that’s why it is level 35…

US Marine (to be updated)

Attack time:
Number of cards you can replace:
Start Adrenaline:
Adrenaline per attack:
Adrenaline bonus per turn:
Start Chi:
Chi per attack:

Hope you enjoyed and found it useful! Welcome in Martial Arts Brutality. Hope I will crush you soon!
