Overview
This guide teaches you how to perform simple interplannetary transfers. The range varies on your Delta-V! I find it most useful for transfering sattelites.Be aware that this is a one way transfer and it may only work from kerbin.
1)The Rocket
What’s that Jeb? Oh, no we dont need moar boosters.
The rocket you make depends on what you want to transfer.
If your just sending a sattelite you will need and orange rockomax asparagus with a large 1.25m and a LV-909.
If your sending a lander you will probably need SIZE 3 KERBODYNE.
2)And now… WE WAIT
You go onto you map and time warp until the target is in the right phase angle. Then STOP time warp.
No, the next thing you do is you time warp until the positive target marker is on the 90 thingy (yes you do know what it is)
This makes it so youll probably get an encounter when you gravity turn. You’ll see what I mean in the next setion.
3) The Not-So-Complicated Transfer
When you get to 10km gravity turn until the pointer hits the pink thing (positive target vector). Then hold your position.
Go onto your map view once your trajectory gets FAIRLY close to the target planet orbit, lower throttle.
See the next section “fine tuning”
See the next section if not either me or you have failed.
Congratulations! Just burn at the planet periapsis and you are done!
OPTIONAL 4) Fine Tunings
So all you need to do is watch the encounter whilst fiddling with a manuver try to just use The grades and normal vectors (yellow and blue).
Just do it, it will. Forget about the closest encoutwer part.
Just burn retrograde at periapsis
