RimWorld Guide

How to use your mods offline for RimWorld

How to use your mods offline

Overview

Ever wanted to play Rimworld offline and you never figured out how to play it with your 100+ Mod list? This easy short guide will help you load your modlists offline while keeping your saves intact.

Simplicity Itself

I’ll be reviewing and reworking this out this week, so stay tuned!

Like i said, this is one hell of a short simple guide, all you have to do is 3 things with your mod-list and your golden:

Download local files

I have found something that is like, magical, you need these next few steps to be able to download local files for this to work:

1. Download Fluffy’s Mod Manager Mod
2. Select the mods you want offline and download local files
3. Go offline and check it out

But wait, there’s more

With the comment section, i have found another easy way to download your local files. without the mods.

1. Right-click Rimworld
2. Press “Properties”
3. Go to the “Files” Section and press “Browse Local Files”
4. Look for the Workshop mod list
5. Copy the mods
6. put them in the “Local mods” list.

Notes

Keep in mind that there is other ways of getting Local Files for offline gaming. I don’t know those yet but please, tell me how if you know.

One fellow asked me the reasons why you would need local files, well, mostly if there’s a power outage or your out camping and brought your Laptop for some Rimworld and there is no Wifi (or little to no Wifi). So you get these local files to be able to still continuously play. I personally had this struggle and well, made this guide for those who needed help for the same thing.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your Rimworld!
