Dungeon Defenders Eternity Guide

Guide to Gearing Up for Dungeon Defenders Eternity

Guide to Gearing Up

Overview

Gearing up on DDE may be a little challenging to some users or very simple to others in the start, in realism it all depends on which path you have pre-determined you’re going to be wanting to take.

Introduction

Hello! I’m iRepLebs and I had played the original Dungeon Defenders about 2 years ago and I found it to be really fun. I was really good at the game and had maxxed all of my characters.

In this guide you will learn the basics of gearing; knowing which attributes affect you the most, what attributes you should chase and how to achieve your maximum potential.

Paths

There’s two main paths in this game that you could take.
The First Path being a Builder.
The Second Path being a DPSer.

Builder

So you want to be a builder?
Excellent choice! Becoming a builder basically carries your games but you must be efficient with your skillpoints/attribute choices/placing your turrets/auras/traps.

Becoming a builder means that you must place all of your skill points into Defense Power and focus on increasing ONLY your:

Defense Health, Defense Power, Defense Speed and Defense Range
[Highest – Lowest Priority[/b]] through gearing up.

Once Again, place all of your skill points into Defense Power and only focus on getting gear with the 4 listed attributes above in that priority. YOU WILL ALMOST NEVER FIND GEAR WITH ALL 4 ATTRIBUTES IN ONE PIECE OF GEAR. It’s fairly rare to find any gear with all 4 of those attributes at a low gear level. Once you get level 60 it changes with more of a chance, but the best types of gear for a certain class type has to have all 4 attributes with a high amount of points into them. Usually you just find a piece of gear with two of the most main attributes you need.

DPSer

Now if you havent already read above (the Builder section guide)
Then you might need to.

The same concept goes for a DPSer or any other class, it’s common sense. You want to chase after your offensive attributes more than your defensive. When you are deciding what to put your skill points into place most of them into Hero Power as opposed to Hero Health, place about half of the points that you place into Hero Power.

When you are trying to gear, look for items with Hero Power, Hero Health, Movement Speed, Spell Cast Rate and Offensive Ability Power/Defensive Ability Power (Explained In another section)

[Highest-Lowest Priority Listing]

Offensive Ability Power/Defensive Ability Power

Now Offensive Ability Power/Defensive Ability Power depend on the Hero Skills that your class has.

Usually as a DPSer you use your Offensive Ability Power Skills more than your Defensive, so go ahead and prioritize some gear to have lots of offensive ability power but also have some that increase defensive.

Finding Gear

Finding Gear requires that you grind levels and it will take time, so please hold your horses and be patient, it’s very rewarding in the end and you will absolutely be satisfied with the final reward.

Currently you can run Magus Quarters Insane Survival Mode if you’re looking to get the best level 60 gear.

If you’re still climbing up to the level cap then I recommend you run The Deeper Well on Survival Mode with the highest difficulty you/your team can handle.

Notes

-This guide was recently created with the use of knowledge from an experienced Dungeon Defenders player and will constantly be updated once new knowledge is accessed within DDE.

-Looting orbs and using them at the start of a dungeon could really increase the drop rate of rare items. I would recommend saving up a lot of orbs for once you hit the level cap you grind out Magus Quarters, use them all up and get some really nasty gear, but if you’re behind already in gear once you hit level 60 I recommend you use it on wells to gain some up-to-date gear.

Thank you for reading this guide, please leave your feedback below; I will read it and update the guide based on it, and please like this guide so it can be #1 on the most popular guides list.
