RimWorld Guide

Mods & Order for RimWorld

Mods & Order

Overview

This guide is going to try to show you how to organize and keep your mods from not working correctly.(I hope this works. :D)

Attention!

What is going to be shown will include the use of mods. If you don’t want to use mods please do not worry about the Mods & Order guide. Thank you.

To Begin…

To start with. You will need to use the RimWorld workshop and get Fluffy’s Mod Manager. This is used to make things easier to see and do with mods. (You don’t actually need to have it. This will make everything easier.)

Step 1.

After downloading Mod Manager from the Workshop.
Go into your RimWorld game and enter the Mods tab
on left hand side below load.

In the Mods tab you should see Mod Manager. This should change the way your whole Mod organizer looks. Now you can download any mod and easily unsubscribe from it or look at more mods the creator has made. (In RimWorld.)

Step 2.

If you have downloaded some mods, you may need other mods to run them. Such as jecstools or Hugslib, these are used as bases for the mods. In your mod order things like these will need to go at the very top or first.

Step 3.

Any other mods that aren’t used as bases or are mandatory for other mods the run. They can be placed in any order. But remember that you must keep them in the same world. Switching mods in different orders and cause your modded saves to not work properly.

Honorable Mod Mentions

-Jecstools

-Hubslib

-Allow Tool

-Expanded Art

-Mod Manager

-Colony Manager

-[SYR Expanded Camps]

Few Words of Advice

*Keep all mods in order.

*Never move your mods around and go into the same save.

*Any new mods should usually go down on the bottom.

*Using Mods Manager is the easiest way to keep track of your mods.

*Some mods will require a new save.

* [ALWAYS] Read the definition of the mod you want.

*And finally, make sure the mods your’e looking at are in the same version. (1.0 automatically.)

Thanks for reading this. If you made it this far.
Check out Fluffy’s Mod Manager and all of his other work. It will help you in the long run.
