Here are my tips on how to get from gold to plat fast
Tips to get to Gold to Plat
1)Stay calm– I used to rage on ranked. But i learn something if you stay calm not only you have good sportsmanship but have higher odds of winning. if you are triggered by a Scarlet player (trust me i’ve been there) and you keep ranting you will lose focus of the game causing you to have a losing streak.
SO STAY CALM AND IN THE END ITS JUST A GAME.
2) Go to training mode – such a no brainer but seriously practice, practice, practice! Practice combos, gadget throws, strings etc.
3) Ask a friend who is plat or diamond – If training mode doesn’t work, ask a friend. Because you will gain experience and learn your flaws e.g. less sigs, dont dodge early etc. Also you can play experimental 1v1 but its better with a friend.
4) DO NOT SPAM SIGS – If I have to be honest i rarely use sigs in ranked, i play asuri and i mostly use Nsig for katar (For edge guarding and pressure) and SSig for sword (for edge guarding too). You might be tempted to throw your val shuriken or hattori black hole but play it safe and do it at the right moment.
5)learn to dodge and read your oppoent’s dodges – This Tip is essential as it can help you in ranked and to get to plat quickly. Dodges are the main movement in the game and is a lifesaver when used correctly. learn you Chain dodges and other dodges while also reading you opponents dodges.
6)Turn off music – Most of you might not do this but having the music off increases concentration when you are in a tight battle and with no distractions you would win most matches.
7) Dont rely on the META – The META, data which shows which character is likely to win. but tbh stay with you main or someone you win the most matches. The meta isnt that relyable. dont try to be LDZ playing koji and losing most matches. just stay with you main.
8)Dont be toxic in chat– We’ve all been there, you’re so angry you want to show your hatred to them. But as i said in step 2, its just a game. be mature, have good sportsmanship and thank them for an amazing match. If they’re being toxic dont relaliate just press x and leave to not make the situation worse
