Chapter One – Basic Installation
Navigating the Steam Interface
At first, the Steam GUI may seem complicated, and at times, a bit intimidating. But with this quick guide, you’ll be able to traverse though the Steam Library and Store pages like a pro and have Rivalry ready to play in no time!
- Steam Store Navigation
Once on the Steam Store Homepage, you will notice a search bar, with the words “Search the Store” writen inside, is located towards the top right-hand corner of the screen. Using your computer mouse, left click (preferably with your index finger, left or right hand doesn’t effect the outcome of this action) on the search bar. You will now notice the text previously in the box has now been removed. If you have followed the previous instructions correctly, you will now be able to use your keyboard to type into the search box: ‘Rivalry’. After you’ve written the name of the game, press the enter key, which is located next to the apostrophy/quotation mark key. A new page has now loaded on your screen, with a list of games displayed. Scroll your mouse of the game that says “Rivalry”, and again, left click. Another screen will load, this time showing the games Store page. Use the middle mouse wheel, and scroll down the screen until you see a button saying “Add to Cart”. Make sure you click this button with the left mouse button. This will prompt another page to load, displaying the price more prominently than the Rivalry Store Page, and with the option to either “Purchase as a Gift” or “Purchase for Myself”. It is important that you click the “Purchase for Myself” button. A new page will appear asking for you to pay viva Credit Card. Enter those certain credentials (which you can send here[www.kcmaustralia.com] ), and click the “Comfirm” button”, which will active the purchase.
- Installation Dialouge Box Navigation
Now one last page will load, and on this page it will have, in large font Install Games. A final dialouge box will appear titled: “Install – Rivalry”. This box isn’t too important, so don’t worry too much about this. The only thing on note is the “Create Desktop Shortcut” box. If you wish to have a shortcut to Rivalry from your desktop, tick this box. If it’s not of your interest, ignore everything and click the “Next” button located at the bottom of the box. The box should change to a progress bar, which signifies Rivalry is preparing to download. These pages last for a very short amount of time. Now, the final box says that Rivalry has started downloading. Click the “Finish” button located at the bottom of the box.
