Introduction
This guide is for low level players who are new to Leon. It’s not for people who have high levels and have unlocked all the upgrades.

Leon is a versatile character that is fun to play. His role is to be the initiator or the assassin of the team. He has the ability to carry the team, especially in the late game, making him a popular choice among the top players. The other two starting characters (Froggy G and Lonestar) are easier to use so I would recommend reading the two guides in the links above.
Leon’s tongue is good for initating and pulling enemies into bad positions. His cloak makes him invisible but it is not the best escape skill as enemies can still spot Leon if he takes damage or has a debuff. While Leon is a late game character, he can have a good early game if he sets up attacks for his teammates that have strong early game.
Leon’s main strength is his excellent ganking ability and ability to initiate team fights. His weakness is that he is not a good pusher until late game.

Attack Type: Melee <But the range is pretty good and can hit behind turrets>
Role: Assassin <Burst damage isn’t that high early game, best to initiate with allies>
Recommended Build Order
Leon Beginner Build[nautsbuilder.com]
- You’ll need one solar generation item- Solar Tree is good as it will help you to keep up in levels which may be difficult for beginners in the mid-late game. In addition, Leon is a late-game naut and needs the solar.
- Cloak is taken after Backstab as your damage is really low without it.
- Silence or Range are taken if you feel it is necessary. Silence is usually needed to stop the Froggy G from escaping or the Clunk from immediately snare biting and exploding.
- Auto attack damage is maxed out first as high sustained damage will lead to opponents running away, which increases the damage you can do.
- Cloak upgrades are taken last as you should be constantly attacking and harassing instead of staying in stealth mode.

What to do once I levelled up?

You can get the clone health upgrade pretty early on while prestiging. Once you get that you can build a clone army! For your loadout, get the clone walking upgrade, clone attacking upgrade and the increased clone health upgrade. This allows you to have three concurrent clones that each have 80 hp, slow on their attack (if you get the slow on blade upgrade) and do half of your normal damage.
