A basic guide to Voltar including a build for Voltar that i like to call roid heals, with a focus on healing wave and cash inflow so you can keep those bots alive… FOREVER!after all you do need to be the TEKNOLOGY so you better learn!
Voltar, the lore
Voltar’s past is shrouded in mystery. Rumor has it he once was a researcher at a star-encapsulating power station. The station made intergalactic headlines when it exploded around 500 years ago, sending off all kinds of strange, unseen radiation into space. In this explosion, the AI core of the Zero’s was destroyed, bringing an abrupt end to the First AI War. Although peace was maintained for some centuries, the war eventually returned. Some think that war was just too profitable, and suspect that weapon manufacturers had a hand in the construction of a new AI core for the Zero’s.
The explosion at the power station destroyed almost every part of Voltar’s body, leaving only his brilliant brain intact. This brain was carefully placed inside a Braintank by salvagers. Through the years, and with help of his loyal robot drones, he made some nifty modifications to his braintank that enabled him to participate in the newly erupted Robot Wars.
No-one knows Voltar’s true motives for participating in the war as a mercenary, but what can be assured is that he’s a mastermind with unmatched psychotechnic powers and an arsenal of armed robots that do his every bidding.(credit to ronimo and the awesomenauts wiki)
Voltar, the basics
Voltar is a slow moving medium health HEALER naut. Being the only heal specific naut in the game, (genji doesnt count) it is voltar’s job to keep his bots and friendly nauts alive.
Voltar’s basic “attack” is his heal beam which gives you 1 solar per heal(money is only given when target is injured and recieves heal)

Voltar’s primary ability is his summon drones which spawns drones that will fire at enemies or can be sent to explode at an enemy.

Voltar has the unique ability to hover to the ground slowly after jumping which can be very useful for getaways
How to play Voltar:
1. Buy Dreams of Greed
2. Tape down the Right Mouse Button
3. HEAL ALL THE THINGS!
4. Profit!
How to ACTUALLY play voltar:
As Voltar you want to try your very hardest to NOT DIE, because when you die you will lose a bunch of money that you would’ve gotten from healing. To getaway you want to head to your teammates, and use your hovering jump to op from a fall instantly .
The build, Roid Heals
In my build i focus on maxing out my healing capabilities to make my teammates nearly invincible.
For healbeam i take:
1. Happy thoughts – adds +2 heal per upgrade to a total of +6
2. Dreams of Greed – gives you 10% more solar per heal
NOTE: the amount of money per heal increases as the amount of heals increases
3. Euphoric Thoughts – adds +4 heal to your healbeam
Once healbeam is maxed out it will heal 13 health per shot which is VERY good for keeping things alive
For Drones i take:
1. Drone Army – amount of drones deployed is increased by one
2. Weapon clip on – increases damage of drones shots by +2 per purchase up to +6 max
3. Hyper drive – increases drone attack speed by 33% per upgrade max of 66%
For Healbot i take:
1. Energy Drink – Increases health and longevity of healbot health +10 length +2sec there are 2 levels
2. Overheal potion – Increases healing power of healbot +2 per level 3 levels
3. Hydraulic Sugar Dispenser – Decreases cooldown of healbot by 2sec per level, 2 levels
Once Healbot is maxed out it should essentially be up all the time (unless destroyed) and it will heal ALOT!
and for utility i take
1. Movement speed
2. Health per solar (healing people gives you health as well)
3. Power pills turbo
BUILD ORDER
I start off buying dreams of greed right off the bat. Depending on the other teams nauts i will get drones(offensive nauts) or healbot(defensive nauts). After this i get as much cash as possible and then buy Euphoric thoughts, and max Happy thoughts. At this pint i am getting 5 solar per heal, which will allow me to max either healbot or drones. Should you at any point need speed or health buy boots or health. If you prefer turret on healbot swap healpower for it, then the drones combined with the healbot will cut down anyone.
