Overview
This is an entry level Vinnie and Spike guide, drawing inspiration from Slow Wolf’s outdated guide.
Introduction
If Vinnie and Spike interest you, there are a few things you need to know.
First of all, V&S are a BURST damage character so don’t try to build for high sustain, it ain’t happenin’.
Secondly, V&S can FLY. This allows you to dodge projectiles and change lanes fast, but your ground movement is slow. As a V&S player, try to remain in the air.
Lastly, and possibly most importantly, V&S are squishy as HELL, so know your limits. In the late game V&S can go in pretty hard due to health regain and high damage, just be careful until then.
The Basics
As V&S, you need to get a few essential upgrades early on. The piggy bank allows a V&S player to buy a movement speed ugrade straight away, pretty essential when kiting around enemies, and also increased health regen from critter kills, allowing V&S to stay in lane for a long time after brief trips to the critters. The old build used Solar Tree but after the nerfs that is no longer an option. It may seem odd that you are only buying one ability straight away but fear not, the cloud ability is all you need to minion farm during the early game as it stops minions still and prevents them from attacking.
Here are the basic upgrades:
Piggy Bank
Space Air Max
Wraith Stone
Smoke Screen
Now you have these, better get to work minion farming!
Bulding Burst
After you have saved up your solar, time to get to work on turing V&S into a burst machine. Spike dive is this character’s bread and butter, giving them the damage they need to take down a tank once the right upgrades are in place. After your profile level is high enough you will unlock chrome file, a straight damage up for your spike dive. Pair two of these with two dead seahorse heads and add in a bag full of gold fish to become a heat seeking missile!
This is done in a few key steps, so pay attetion to the order of you’ll lose your momentum!

(Note: From this point onwards I will be adding 150 to the item costs in order to keep the damage buff from Bag Full of Goldfish)
Endgame
In the endgame this build really comes into its own, allowing you to destroy most characters in a simple Spike Dive > Smoke Screen > Bubble Gun combo. There are, however, those pesky ol’ tanks and their neverending health pools. The last few steps of the build add some more damage to the bubble gun as well as some more mobility to get out of the action or chase down fast characters. At this point the kills should be flowing fast so getting all this cash shouldn’t be an issue.
Also, these upgrades aren’t in any particular order, but if you’re getting your arse handed to you it might be better to go with mobility over damage!
