Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition Guide

Duke Nukem 3D: From Megaton Edition --> EDuke32 + Mods Tutorial for Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition

Duke Nukem 3D: From Megaton Edition –> EDuke32 + Mods Tutorial

Overview

Notice: This is my first guide, so please be nice with it! Anyway, I realised a lot of Duke Nukem fans loved the old Duke Nukem 3D. But unfortunately, the version that Megaton Edition had wasn’t really that good, so I decided to make this guide on how to port Megaton Edition to EDuke32.

Step One

First, download EDuke32 on this URL: [link]
Later, unzip it somewhere.

Step Two

Second, when you open it, it says that it requires a file from you Duke Nukem 3D folder, to verify that you have legaly bought the game. That file is DUKE3D.grp, which is located in steam/steamapps/common/Duke Nukem 3D/gameroot/classic (to go there easily, simply right-click on Megaton Edition, then click Properties. Go to Local Files and click Browse Files). So copy this file and put it in the folder you unzipped EDuke32. This EDuke32 version has an option to enable Polymer, which if you check, you will have more lighting on the pistols, the enemies, the bullets etc. But it will slow down the frame rate, so only do this on fast computers.

Mods

To install mods, like Duke Nukem Forever 2013, simply copy DUKE3D.grp and put it in the folder where the mod is installed.

Hope this guide helped!
Please rate this guide because it means a lot to me! 🙂
