Overview
This patch changes the game’s scripting to better play music and replaces censored textures, and includes a port of Wages of Sin to the Steam version of Sin. Available for both versions 1.11 (retail) and 1.12 (Steam).
PATCHES FOR SIN
- Replaced censored textures with the originals
- Fixed music not playing at the correct speed
- Redone music scripts, added unused tracks
- Changed mission computer formatting to be consistent
- Fixed some objectives updating incorrectly
- Fixed secrets using the wrong sound
- Fixed being unable to progress in Area57 after returning from Biomass
- Fixed manumit playermodel not fully taking effect in Area57
- Envelope now removed from inventory on new episode
- Scuba gear now removed on new episode instead of when ClearInvetory is called
- Scuba gear no longer given on spawn in certain maps
- Added missing Underwater Base dialogue
- Fixed scripts not recognizing very hard difficulty (skill 3)
- Music without the ‘restart’ and/or ‘interrupt’ flag restarts anyway
- Audio is not stopped when the game is paused
- Sometimes music will stop playing after loading
- Text on the aqueduct computers doesn’t fit in the screens
- Text on some xenolab computers not visible
- Anything built into the map that can’t be changed by editing its scripts
1.12 – Extract the contents to ‘[Steam install dir]SteamappscommonSiN 1’
1.11 – Extract the contents to ‘[Program Files]Sin’ or wherever else it was installed
WAGES OF SIN FOR 1.12
- 1. Extract the contents to [Steam install dir]SteamappscommonSiN 1
- 2. Copy pak0.sin into the new 2015 directory
- 3. Run the batch file and select ‘Full Installation’
To play the game add ‘+set game 2015’ to Sin’s launch parameters (without quotes). You should remove it when you want to play the original.

sin-steam_patch and sin-retail_patch are the patches for Steam and 1.11 versions respectively, sin-steam_wages is Wages of Sin for Steam. sin-retail_wages is the 1.11 version of the Wages of Sin patch, install it the same way you install the main patch.
