Overview
This walk through if for players who are attempting to complete the “Real Parks” scenarios of Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe. There will also be a link to download the saved games of these scenarios that are only 3 days away from completing if you desire.
Introduction
To be honest, these levels can be very difficult and having a very good idea about how this game is played is basically going to be needed if you want to complete them. If you need help on game mechanics you can check out my other guide;
A Super Easy Roller Coaster Tycoon Walk through.
That guide will contain game mechanics and tips to help you get started. So with that, here is the walk through on how to beat these 3 missions as easily as possible:
Alton Towers
Alton Towers
Difficulty; Very Hard
This scenario can be quite brutal and is basically going to require some cheese if you want to complete it. First, aggressively research roller coasters until you get the steel roller coaster. Next and as quick as possible, close down the park and all attractions and place “do not enter” blocks everywhere. ( but make sure guests can still get out ) This park is a mickey mouse maze of madness and if you don’t do something about the paths in this park, guests will be getting lost so fast and your park rating will drop so quick, you just will not be able to keep up. So once you are done closing down everything and have a whole bunch of do not enter blocks ( which if you didn’t know can be found in the same sub menu as the benches and garbage bins ) destroy absolutely all the rides and attractions, this will give you some much needed funds, and that is another thing about these missions you will notice; Your debt is huge, and this is not good. In normal missions even having a 50 000 $ loan will only cost you around 60 or so bucks a month, hardly noticeable, in this mission, you come with a whooping 4.77 million or so ( you can lend to a max of 4.8 ) which will cost you up to 8 000 $ dollars a month ( ouch ) so that is really going to hurt. So make sure you pause/destroy/unpause with good timing so that you don’t blow 8 000 a month when cleaning out your park. Hopefully though, it only takes you a month or two at most, to destroy everything ( including paths ) and start rebuilding the park with shuttle loops. For the least amount of headache, make sure to build your loops in the best grid like pattern possible so you can efficiently fit lots of these in here and make sure people won’t get lost. I believe when I did it, I had 20 in a row and x4 rows of shuttle loops in the end. Also another thing to be aware of, if you can, start marketing hard around august or September of year 1 and don’t stop, if you do not, you may not hit the 2500 guest requirement ( I started marketing hard in august of year 1 and I didn’t hit the 2500 guest mark until about September of year 3 ) In this scenario you are really going to have to juggle paying off debt, building coasters and marketing, and even though you won’t pay off all the debt in the end, paying off debt still does help ( I was able to pay off more than 200 000 and it saved me a few hundred bucks a month ) But if you can hit 80 shuttle loops and market hard, even with the big debt you should be hitting positive months still for cash, so use that opportunity to pay off that debt.
Heide-Park
Heide-Park
Difficulty; Hard
Not as hard as the first one, but still no picnic, luckily though this map is way flatter so it will be easier to make a “grid like” design of the park, because again, you guessed it ( or perhaps you didn’t ) but just like the previous scenario, you are going to close down everything, get everyone out, block out and destroy paths, and rebuild this map. For some reason I found it to be much quicker and easier in this map to destroy everything and get everyone out. Once you do, you can start making corkscrew coasters which you start with right away ( you don’t get shuttle loops in the scenario, or at least I didn’t wait around long enough to see if you do ) either way, use my custom corkscrew designs ( left and right corkscrew ) and I was able to grid pattern in 70 of them, which seemed to be enough to get the job done, all the while campaigning hard to get your guest count up ( luckily in this map I found it easier to get the guest count up, I started campaigning aggressively in July/August of year 1 and had over 3000 guests in my park at the end of October year 3 ) Also just like the previous scenario, you are going to start with a huge amount of debt, “luckily” it is only going to cost you around 6600 or so a month, instead of 8000, although 6600 is still quite a bit so stay frosty. Again I was able to pay off around 300 000 or so in debt and my debt decreased to about 6000 a month. So if you have enough coasters and guests its time to pay off that debt. One thing I also noticed is that the vandalism is a little high in this map, so make sure to have plenty of security around if need be ( I had around 20 or so security guards )
Black Pool Pleasure Beach
Black Pool Pleasure Beach
Difficulty; Medium
Compared to the previous 2 scenarios, this one should be easier now, because just like the last 2, you are going to be using the same strategy; close down everything, block paths, get everyone out, destroy all rides/attractions and rebuild the map. Now luckily you start with the shuttle loop, and you debt is “only” 2 million which means you are going to pay around 3000+ a month which is way more manageable than 6000 or 8000. The only “difficult” part of this scenario is going to be squeezing in the whopping 3500 guest requirement. So to make that happen, make sure to build you best grid like pattern of shuttle loops ( 70-80 should be good ) and campaign aggressively as quickly as possible ( like June/July of year 1 sort of quick ) Other than that, there is not much to this map, as long as your guests have the space and you campaign hard enough then this scenario should be as good as beat, just make sure to have enough space to fit those guests and again campaign as early as possible and this level should be no sweat.
Download Links
This is the download link for downloading the 3 scenarios that are 3 days away from completing;
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mflulg4a91ds7zl/Real%20Parks%20Saved%20Games.rar?dl=0
Just unzip the folder and put the files into your saved games folder in your game directory and then just load them up. The scenarios are 3 days away from winning and you can’t lose if you do nothing during those 3 days
Although be warned that i saved these games with their default names, so if you also saved your games with the default names these saved games will over write your saved games, so if you don’t want that to happen, make sure to name your saved games something else.
