Guia rapida para quien quiera jugarlo a resolucion 1920 x 1080 y posea monitor con resoluciones 16:9.
*Iniciar el juego normalmente y en resolucion de pantalla cambiar a 1280 x 1024 *Guardar y salir.
*Luego solo reemplazar el ejecutable del juego por el que ya he modificado a 1920 x 1080 que se encuentra entre los archivos descargados.
Eso es todo para quienes tengan monitores con resolucion 16:9
Step 1) Download the file that contains:
* Hexadecimal editor
* The original game executable (backup)
* Alternative ColdFix_v0.9_beta executable (this is what we need)
* An executable and modified with the editor to 1920 x 1080
Bajar el archivo que contiene:
* El editor Hexadecimal
* El ejecutable original del juego (backup)
* El ejecutable alternativo ColdFix_v0.9_beta (este es el que necesitamos)
* Un ejecutable ya modificado con el editor a 1920 x 1080
Default Directory: “C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonCold Fear”
Sustituir el coldfear_retail.exe original por el ejecutable alternativo que acaba de descargar. El coldfear_retail.exe original se encuentra en el directorio del juego en la carpeta SteamApps.
Directorio por defecto: “C: Archivos de programa (x86) Steam SteamApps common Cold Fear”
Después de reemplazar el ejecutable, iniciar el juego y entrar en Configuración, Configuración de la pantalla y cambiar la resolución a 1280 x 1024 . Haga clic en Aceptar, vuelva al menú principal, y salga del juego.
Replace these numbers with “80 07 00 00 BF 38 04” for 1920×1080. (Refer to the Resolution HEX Codes section of the guide for other resolutions)
Save and Exit. The next time you launch the game, it should be running in 1080p
Ahora abre tu coldfear_retail.exe con el editor hexadecimal. Haga clic en Buscar o utilice la combinación de teclas Ctrl + F y escriba “00 05 00 00 00 04 BF” en la casilla Hex cadena y presione OK para buscarla.

cuando abramos el ejecutable alternativo con el editor hexadecimal lo que tenemos que buscar es la cadena correspondiente a esa resolucion, que en este caso seria 40 06 00 00 BF 84 03, muy bien, lo que hacemos una ves encontrada es reemplazar los valores por 80 07 00 00 BF 38 04 que son los que le corresponden a la resolucion 1920 x 1080, cambiamos los valores, guardamos los cambios y reemplazamos el exe original del juego por el que hemos modificamos.

VERY IMPORTANT:
Disable automatic updates for the game from steam options, otherwise steam will return to always download the original exe, go to properties for this game, lapel updates and uncheck the option “keep this game updated”

Desactivar las actualizaciones automaticas para el juego desde las opciones de steam, de no hacerlo steam siempre volvera a descargar el exe original, para ello ir a propiedades del juego, solapa actualizaciones y desmarcar la opcion ” mantener este juego actualizado”
