Overview
This guide tells you the way to ally the grox and how to prepare for it.
PREPARING
Of course, allying the Grox won’t be easy. Ha ha! At all. First of all, you’ll need a couple allys for the Grox to shoot at while allying the grox. The Grox will most likely attack your allys first rather than you. You also need a couple tooks such as the Happy Ray, other friendly tools and a Planet Buster (don’t ask why you have to break the Galactic Code for this, you’ll find out.) You also need to have a lot of energy, a lot of health and at least a Wormhole Key to go through Black Holes (Or wormholes, whatever they’re called).
GETTING TO GROX TERRITORY
The grox mostly live in the middle of the galaxy near the massive wormhole taking you to a special weapon. Lets just say you get “The Power” there. You’ll need the wormhole key to save energy and health and plus, it’s just an easy way to go places. Warning, there is a chance that the Grox WILL try to terminate you.
JUST GETTING STARTED
When you successfully get to Grox territory, you will want to contact them. Make sure you brought a LOT of the green stuff (money if you haven’t noticed), courage to complete missions, the patience to ally them (it takes some time to ally them) and last, but not least, prepared to break the galactic code (and getting everyone except the Grox and your species to hate you. Isn’t that lovely?) Note that the Grox will hate you right when your species evolved to that tiny little cell.

FACTS TO KNOW
The grox aren’t tolerant of any living organisms in their territory. They will try to kill you while you try to finish missions, use the happy ray and other things. The grox is also a unique species that cannot be played as without mods or hacks which also means you cannot add them to any custom adventures in spore galactic adventures as easily as every other creature. The grox is probably the only Non-Playable creature in the entire spore franchise (not including DarkSpore). This also makes it the hardest to ally and kill off. They have the ENTIRE middle of the ENTIRE galaxy, so good luck with finding any gaps. You probably won’t get any.

Pros and Cons
Once you ally the grox, there are a few good things, and a LARGE bad thing, to the point that it NEEDS BOLDEN CAPITALIZED WORDS to DESCRIBE how BAD it is. First off, you can get to the middle of the galaxy, you get a strong friend and you can conquer anyone you want. YAY! Bad news, everyone will hate you… Yup… You may want to be ready to go to war with, oh what, about EVERY SINGLE ALIEN RACE YOU HAVE MET? And you’ll need to meet a few on your way to the grox. So if you already did ally the grox and your wondering what the heck is going on, well now you know.
What you can, and cannot do with the Grox
The grox are a great species, we know, but when you meet them, you’ll realize a few things…
1: Grox can only survive on T-0 planets.
3: You can’t re-ally them after canceling your alliance (If you cancel your alliance with the grox, you dun’ goofed.
4: They are TERRIBLE in adventures in the Galactic Adventures DLC. They may be good in space, but note that the grox have no captain parts equipped and you can’t add any parts to them. You can only outfit yourself, not any of your allys.
5: You are able to set up a trade route with the grox, despite being unable to trade directly to the grox (this is a good way to destroy them, just make sure you have a lot of money. The grox will most likely only accept the highest amount of money)
