Tutorial, Evolution, and Consuming
Tutorial
Finish the Tutorial
- Complete the first level by consuming smaller creatures. Pretty self-explanatory, you’ll get a few other achievements during this stage.
Element Master
Discover the three basic elements
- One of the achievements you’ll receive early on in the Tutorial level. All you must do is eat three creatures, one of each color element (red, green, blue).
Stage 1
Evolve to stage 1
- After eating a certain amount of creatures and leveling a few times you will evolve into Stage 1. The rest of the Stage achievements are pretty much streamline and as long as you’re going for 100% you will not miss them while completing the game. You do NOT need to focus on one element to evolve, it will just change the stats of you Evo.
Stage 2
Evolve to stage 2
- As stated before, eat creatures and level up and after a few levels you will evolve again. You will obtain this around the early-mid point of the game.
Stage 3
Evolve to stage 3
- Now we’re just getting redundant! You will obtain this around the mid-late point of the game.
Stage Master
Evolve to stage 4
- The last evolution can sometimes be missed even while completing the game, I finished every level of my run and was still not completely evolved. If this happens to you simply enter back into any of the levels and consume creatures until you evolve.
10 Species
Eat 10 species
- Consume 10 individual creatures, will be completed before the Tutorial is done.
50 Species
Eat 50 species
- Consume 50 individual creatures, will be completed before level 2 is done.
100 Species
Eat 100 species
- Consume 100 individual creatures, will be completed before level 4 or 5 is done.
Creature Discovery
Nebula
Discover a Nebula
- The Nebula is one of the first unique creatures you’ll encounter and only requires a single swoop to consume. They are common and can be found in almost every level.
JellyFish
Discover a JellyFish
- The JellyFish is an uncommon creature that will be encountered on the very first level. Another easy creature to consume only requiring a few swoops in.
Malaria
Discover a Malaria
- The Malaria is an uncommon creature you will first encounter on the second level. To consume Malaria you must consume every orb on it’s spine. This is easily done taking any opportunity to get behind the Malaria and make a swift swoop up it’s spine which can generally almost instantaneously kill them.
Glowing Squid
Discover a Glowing squid
- The Glowing Squid is a common creature you will encounter on the second level. To consume the Squid you must consume the orbs on it’s “eyes” and then swoop in for the kill. They exude blue smoke that will slow you if you touch it so it’s best to make quick strike.
Trucheon
Discover a Trucheon
- The Trucheon is an uncommon creature that is basically the medium-sized Squid. To consume the Trucheon like the other Squid you must enter inside the cavity from below and consume all of the orbs inside.
Skeleton
Discover a Skeleton
- The Skeleton is an uncommon creature and if you’re having difficulty finding it can be found on level 7 at mid depths. To consume the Skeleton you must completely clear the sides and tail and then come from behind at the head to finish it off.
Glass Squid
Discover a Glass squid
- The Glass squid is an uncommon creature that is easily consumed by moving inside and consuming the 4 or so orbs inside. If you are having difficult finding them they can also be foud on level 7.
Bloodbelly
Discover a Bloodbelly
- The Blodbelly is yet another common creature that takes some time to consume. To successfully do so you need to enter into the open cavity at the bottom of the Blodbelly and consume all of the smaller creatures inside. You will be periodically slowed by the blue gas so try to do this as quickly as possible. Once you have eaten all of the smaller creatures move back outside and swoop around to the top of the Blodbelly and consume the large spike on top. If you are having problems finding the Bloodbelly they can be found on level 7 among others.
Fish
Discover a Fish
- Fish are extremely common and only require a single pass to consume, you’ll eventually come across one during the main game.
Anemone
Discover a Anemone
- The Anemone first appears around level 8. You will inevitably meet one during play of the game. To beat the Anemone you must pass through it’s cylinder-like body and completely clear it out.
Phantom
Discover a Phantom
- This is by far the easiest creature discovery you can miss. The reason for this is because it’s located in a pretty obscure location deep in the lower levels of Level 7. Proceed there and keep diving until you get some pings of color on your screen and then make your way towards them. If they’re not Phantoms then keep going deeper, it goes for almost an eternity!
Giants
Giant – Squidworm
Unlock and finish “Squidworm” zone
- To obtain this achievement you first need to unlock Squiwormd which will be done somewhere near the completion of every level in the main game. A lot of people consider the Squidworm to be the hardest achievements, and while he is definitely the hardest creature by himself he is virtually harmless and just takes time. When you enter the level you’ll be put into a dark abyss like area with a creature floating below you. Wait for a few moments and the Squidworm will eventually come up to your level where you can begin to pick off it’s outer shell. You’ll have a very small window of time to consume so use it wisely! After you have completely consumed the shell of the worm you can now work your way from the backend up towards the head. This will take 3 to 4 runs total depending on your speed and accuracy. Once you have completely consumed it’s spine all you need to do is finish it off and eat the orb in his head and congratulations!
Giant – Octury
Unlock and finish “Octury Deep” zone
- To obtain this achievement you first need to unlock Octury Deep which will be done somewhere around level 6 or 7 automatically (in other words just play through the game). This is an extremely easy achievement to complete but requires a bit of finesse. Basically you’ll start near the bottom of a massive Squids tentacles. Continue upward until you reach the mid-top section of the Squid. You’ll notice there are some holes leading into it’s head and a lot of glowing orbs inside. What you need to do is position yourself at an angle to the hole and double click (or use whatever button activates the abilities) and you should zoom into the hole. If you miss, keep trying. If you’re Evo is not dashing in then you may need to reposition or restart the level completely. Once you have successfully entered the skull cavity continue to spam the dash and attempt to guide yourself to each of those juicy orbs. I found I had little control while inside the head and it was mostly a matter of dashing around, but it may just depend on user experience. Once you have trashed the insides of the Squidbeast it will fall and the level will be completed!
